The Myth of Woke Indoctrination at Colleges

It doesn't surprise me. By my own admission I spend too much time online, so I often stumble across conservative videos and commentary on 'wokism' (sometimes even via this very site).

But then when I go out into the real world and speak to actual people, none of what the conservatives say is happening actually seems to really happen. I'm not saying it's 100% lies, but they definitely overstate it. I don't know any trans people, I don't work with any, I barely know any gay people outside my immediate circle and I've never come across a real person who uses they/them pronouns...

You need to spend more time at elite colleges. Any professor who said there were only two sexes would have a riot in the room within 5 minutes.

As a gay who ignores a lot of the bullshit thrown at me, I say just because you’re in a certain environment doesn’t mean all the discourse you’re surrounded by doesn’t have to absorbed. You can think for yourself anywhere.

One cannot tell from your bald statement whether you think that was a good thing or a bad thing. One can easily imagine Samuel Alito stating it in the form of a bitter complaint. Or Matt A. on his way to claiming that it was the beginning of the end of the world for gays and lesbians. It wasn't.
