McDonald's Drops Smile From Happy Meals for Mental Health Week

“It’s okay not to feel happy all the time.”

Is the broad who nearly destroyed Bud Light with Dylan Mulvaney now working for McDonalds?

No wonder, who's happy paying $26.95 for a Miserable Meal at McDonald's?

by Anonymousreply 1May 15, 2024 9:08 PM

The food fucking blows? Dat shit will kill u!

by Anonymousreply 2May 15, 2024 9:11 PM

OP is also:

*Biden proposes 2 debates with Trump, ditching bipartisan commission*

[quote]Biden’s team knows he’s fucked and all Trump co has to do is run ads exposing these requests. It makes it clear that Biden is too frail to debate without trickery.

"We know how important it is to help stimulate open conversations about mental health in families, and through this change to our Happy Meal box, we hope many more families are encouraged to kickstart positive conversations around children’s emotions and wellbeing."

Yes, just what every overworked, tired single mom wants from their kid's happy meal.

by Anonymousreply 4May 15, 2024 9:18 PM

OP must be one of the stank Poors who eats at McDs all the time and therefore thinks most of the rest of the world thinks it's as important as she does.....

by Anonymousreply 5May 15, 2024 9:18 PM

The helpful illustrated instructions that come with the Meal's adorable "Rusty the Razorblade" toy remind kiddies to "cut down, not across."

by Anonymousreply 6May 15, 2024 9:25 PM

I appreciate your twisted mind, r6.

by Anonymousreply 7May 15, 2024 9:27 PM

R3 = Karen

by Anonymousreply 8May 15, 2024 9:36 PM

A smile costs extra, bitch.

by Anonymousreply 9May 15, 2024 9:36 PM

Thanks R7 - right after my naturally huge calves, it's my best feature.

by Anonymousreply 10May 15, 2024 9:39 PM

Just called it a Kid’s Fatty Meal and be done with it.

by Anonymousreply 11May 15, 2024 10:23 PM

Reason # 3,987,358 I am glad I never wanted children.

[quote]"We know how important it is to help stimulate open conversations about mental health in families, and through this change to our Happy Meal box, we hope many more families are encouraged to kickstart positive conversations around children’s emotions and wellbeing."

God, please make this 'woke' crap stop!

by Anonymousreply 13May 15, 2024 10:54 PM

R5, check back in when your finally able to hit on something.

by Anonymousreply 14May 15, 2024 10:58 PM

No one "destroyed" Bud Light, OP. Stop being a bigoted Republican idiot

by Anonymousreply 15May 15, 2024 11:00 PM

It seems the more that we talk about mental health, the more mental illness increases, especially as it’s now some kind of weird status symbol online.

by Anonymousreply 16May 15, 2024 11:04 PM

R16 yes, ultra-liberals are obsessed with being miserable, it seems.

by Anonymousreply 17May 15, 2024 11:05 PM

Hey lady at R3, no one fucking cares.

by Anonymousreply 18May 15, 2024 11:09 PM

Anyone who feeds their kid crap like McDonalds does not care about their mental health.

by Anonymousreply 19May 15, 2024 11:25 PM

OP must be a stupid-ass GOP troll like Tomi Lahren

Not destroyed, but severely damaged.

by Anonymousreply 22May 16, 2024 12:39 AM

It’s ok to make $10 an hour.

by Anonymousreply 23May 16, 2024 12:42 AM

R22, nope.

And then you linked to the right-wing hate site, The Daily Caller at r21

by Anonymousreply 24May 16, 2024 1:25 AM

Stop posting GOP propaganda

by Anonymousreply 25May 16, 2024 1:27 AM

The Daily Caller? Seriously?

by Anonymousreply 26May 16, 2024 1:27 AM

Republicans need shit to get outraged over

by Anonymousreply 28May 16, 2024 1:51 AM

What's in the UnHappy Meal?

A wad of chewed gum. A hardened lump of dried chicken nugget in a dirty napkin.

The filing papers of your parents divorce. Two packs of mustard but no ketchup.

A half eaten mock apple pie made with stale ritz crackers.

A coupon for 20% off your next Unhappy Meal

by Anonymousreply 29May 16, 2024 1:57 AM

@r21, "The Daily Caller"?

Always good to have Nazis weigh in on Happy Meals... You've earned my "Suck on a bag of dicks award" for today 🤨

Laughable! As if McDonalds gives a flying fuck about anyone's mental health! They would use child labor if they could.

by Anonymousreply 31May 16, 2024 3:45 AM

Man. Who wants a Bummer Meal? McDonalds was great fun for me as a kid. I guess everything needs to be ruined.

by Anonymousreply 32May 16, 2024 3:47 AM

I kinda admire that Dicks burgers, which was down the street from me on 45th, never changed their name

by Anonymousreply 33May 16, 2024 3:48 AM

@r32, They didn't have Happy Meals when I was a kid, I'm so depressed... 😭

by Anonymousreply 34May 16, 2024 3:50 AM

[quote]It seems the more that we talk about mental health, the more mental illness increases, especially as it’s now some kind of weird status symbol online.

The more self-diagnosis increases.

People will use anything as an excuse for their own bad decision making and bad behavior. See “Autism”.

by Anonymousreply 37May 16, 2024 3:38 PM

^ Remember when people were just kind of off, weird, shy? Now they're aspie, autism, psycho-babble

by Anonymousreply 38May 16, 2024 3:47 PM

We could use some message like it’s OK to be fucking sad here at DL

DL the home of good mental health?

DL where once every few days one DL man after another DL man will post about wanting to die, their loss of hope, their dreadful love-less life , their misery, their loneliness and their despair,

Make fun of McDonald’s all you want.

by Anonymousreply 39May 16, 2024 3:58 PM

It’s true, r39, and I’m fully confident that the new McDonald’s UnHappy Meal will save the lives of at least a few desperately sad eldergays.

by Anonymousreply 40May 16, 2024 4:22 PM

This is crazy. Might as well turn the smile to a frown.

by Anonymousreply 41May 16, 2024 4:31 PM

More like Crappy Meal!

by Anonymousreply 42May 16, 2024 4:35 PM

[quote]"The Daily Caller"? Always good to have Nazis weigh in on Happy Meals... You've earned my "Suck on a bag of dicks award" for today

OK.

How about New York Magazine? MAY 15, 2024

"Might McDonald’s Interest You in a Sad Meal?"

"This marketing move seems like it would probably amount to the polar opposite effect of turning that frown upside down; I would assume wiping that smile off your child’s box of nuggets might also wind up wiping the smile off their face, too."

by Anonymousreply 43May 16, 2024 4:37 PM

Sat through an episode of the execrable MaryLand and at the end there was a plea for suicidal people to call for help. I thought “Well, it’s a shitty show and that was a shitty episode but it didn’t exactly make me want to kill myself.”

Then I realized it was because a character committed suicide during the show. Well…you couldn’t blame her. I mean, the show wasn’t that depressing to me but it was for the characters in it. Purely due to poor writing,

by Anonymousreply 44May 16, 2024 4:57 PM

Think of the savings on yellow ink.

by Anonymousreply 45May 16, 2024 5:11 PM

R40

It’s OK to be sad (and lonely)

That would be a great message for the many sad lonely men that start those sad threads here at DL . Life is not always going to be a happy place.

Will the McDonalds effort impact even a few kids? If it’s only one it’s worth it.

by Anonymousreply 46May 16, 2024 5:20 PM

🤐.

by Anonymousreply 47May 16, 2024 5:24 PM

@r43, You dumb fucking Nazi, it's not the subject it's the source

This whole thread is just run on stupid

by Anonymousreply 48May 16, 2024 5:36 PM

I would have to be starving to death to eat McDonalds. That is some of the worst garbage food you can put in your body.

by Anonymousreply 49May 16, 2024 5:37 PM

For the idiot at R48: both (wildly different) sources have come to the same conclusion about this particular subject: it's a bad move by McDonalds.

by Anonymousreply 50May 16, 2024 6:25 PM

Eating processed chemical-laden garbage like McDonald's isn't good for your body, and the way you feel can affect your mental health.
