Not much exists on Stefano. Even his social media pages barely have photos of himself. He lives a quiet and private life and still models today. He also started his own jewelry line in Italy. He lived in NYC for a few years in the late 80s and 90s after getting signed by a NYC agency (he had already been working steadily in Italy and Europe).
He married Elena Rostropovich, a Russian musician and daughter of cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich and soprano Galina Vishnevskaya. In 1974 her family was forced to leave Russia, moving to NYC. She studied at Juilliard School of Music and graduated in 3 years, then took her studies to Vermont.
She is over a decade older than Stefano and had two children already when they married.
