Best Sunscreen I have ever, ever used

Hello- If any of you are into facial sunscreens- This one is the best sunscreen I have ever used..

Its tinted, not greasy in the least- I have tried everything. This stuff is even better than Elta and all of the Japanese sunscreens. It melts into the skin- its crazy.

Its expensive, but you can get for 20-25% off at retailers and ocasionally direct from Isdin, and I got mine for 30% during some sale at end of last year-

This bottle is also 3.4 ounces- I purchased the large one because its a better deal, and it makes you use the proper amount (most people use way too little)

It's fucking crazy to splurge on a sunscreen, especially with so much cheap stuff on the market that has the same non-greasy effect as this one. They're just minerals. Waste of money.

Tinted? What color?

by Anonymousreply 2May 11, 2024 12:45 PM

R2- It comes in:

Flaming Hot Cheeto

Cheese Puff

Safety Orange

Tinted sunscreen? No, thanks.

I use Neutrogena.

by Anonymousreply 4May 11, 2024 1:04 PM

Mineral sunscreens can look really chalky so I appreciate the tint. I'll try this one, OP.

by Anonymousreply 5May 11, 2024 1:05 PM

R5- I promise you that this stuff is the best. It does not go on like "makeup" and the ingredients go beyond sunscreen. I am curious to see what you think! Absolutely no chalkiness-

I have used Neutrogena, Kiehls, Elta, 3-4 Japanese Brands, Soleil Tujours, Skinceuticals, Cotz, Badger, ect - the one with the gorilla and retro packaging.

This stuff is insanely great.

I use canmake Mermaid Gel which someone here suggested a few years ago. It's great and doesn't burn the eyes like every other product I've tried

by Anonymousreply 7May 11, 2024 1:22 PM

OP - no love for Sisley Super Soin Solaire? Only $200 for 40ml.

by Anonymousreply 8May 11, 2024 1:26 PM

Thanks for the tipoff OP. I go through a shitload of sunscreen, like a couple of litres of SPF 50 a year. Will have a look to see if this is available down under and can I buy it in bulk? A 5-10 litre pail would be good

Just get Botox and your skin will look fine.

Isdin is very expensive. If you use sunscreen every day, then it's going to add up fast. The sunscreens from Korea and Japan are just as good for a fraction of the cost. The Supergoop sunscreens are good, too.

Here's a good YouTube video comparing the different Asian sunscreens if you're interested.

R7- I tried that stuff!! It was very good but it was 1 ounce, which is nothing. I also tried the Biore Korean one- made me shiny as fuck

That was probably one of the Top 3-4 that I have tried-- The 1 ounce bothered me. This shit is so much better

v8fairy- You are from Australia??? Very cool.

I know that Australians need sunnscreen more than anyone, and i have heard that folks down there take it seriously too- which is great.

You are Nicolas Fairford's boyfriend!!!

by Anonymousreply 13May 11, 2024 3:20 PM

R12 I only put it on my face and sunscreen is one of the only products whose expiration date means anything

by Anonymousreply 14May 11, 2024 3:20 PM

I think I paid $11.00 for that one on amazon (It was 2 for $22.00)

For this Isdin stuff I paid around 50.00 on sale for 3.4 ounces- So $16.00 per ounce vs $11.00 per ounce..

But Canmake really was one of the best I have tried-

by Anonymousreply 15May 11, 2024 3:27 PM

Does anyone know what sunscreen is not available in the USA but only in other nations? I’ve heard that the USA has far less sunscreens available

by Anonymousreply 16May 11, 2024 3:33 PM

R16- I thought that it was Japan but that changed- They are just harder to get or you have to trust Amazon.

I may be wrong- but I believe that France has some really excellent sunscreens that you 100% cannot get in the USA- with a specific ingredient (which is escaping me)

by Anonymousreply 17May 11, 2024 3:37 PM

i just bought Native unscented sunscreen with zinc oxcide spf 30. 20% zinc oxide. I hope it's good

HI MRS. ISDIN! Welcome to Datalounge!

by Anonymousreply 19May 11, 2024 4:12 PM

R19 - as I was typing at some point above I knew that I was sounding like a shill.

by Anonymousreply 20May 11, 2024 6:05 PM

$50 is nuts. I use the Japanese brands or the ones from Rossmann (German drugstore chain) which are cheap and decent enough. Eucerin is also good, a little more expensive, but nowhere near $50.
