It's her 8th No. 1 album and is also No. 1 on the Country charts - a feat no other black woman has achieved. She's fine, she sends her love.

I was never a Beyonce fan before, but I listened to Cowboy Carter this weekend and it's good. Very very good.

Beyondsay has been a gimmick performer for over a decade. Since she's rather stupid, lacks any class, education or ethics, and really can't carry anything on talent alone, she has to stick her ass out, be "proud" and get those tongues wagging over something other than the fact she's a greasy ho.

I can drop the bitch pose and say I have tried to appreciate or enjoy Beyonce's productions. She has a fine team, obviously is a relatable-yet-detachedly-diva-ish performer, puts money into it, and almost perfectly manages the market and media. But it's only when she's humorous and keeps it light that I can go with it.

The ego-branding, the husband, the smell of something off - those are typical. There's a sense that she's as much a product as Annette Funicello, except Annette had more authenticity. Mere gloss all the way through. Even if she's not smart enough to be that cynical, plenty around her are. A lack of humility is only good for a pretty joke, not someone imitating MJ.

I'm no stan but Beyonce and her team are some of the last in the pop music world to put out ALBUMS. Full bodies of work meant to be listened to as a whole, not a bunch of TikTok singles put together for vibes. I enjoyed Cowboy Carter for what it was and didn't look too deeply into the politics of it. The vocal mixing on the Miley Cyrus tune needed better production and that's all I can say to that.

Taylor’s new album is out in 10 days and this junk will become a distant memory.

It's not that she did a country album, it's that her team (Jay) use gimmicks for PR. It's not, "hey, I wanted to do something different", it's "I'm doing this to support black country artists". That in and of itself would be okay, except the music is mediocre at best and it really isn't 'country' or the country that real black country artists create.

I have been trying to figure out why Beyonce would take this route and finally realized why. I don't think she is happy that Taylor Swift has more money than her. I think she feels that she is better and has been at it longer so she needed to do more. This has nothing to do with the color of anyone's skin, just the competitiveness. Everyone has to be #1, Everyone wants to have more. no one is ever just happy to be where they are. If only we put in as much energy to do for others that we do for ourselves.

You're probably right, R39, that and that Beyonce has for so long been the darling of mainstream media. Seeing Taylor's tour and film do so better in comparison and then seeing Taylor being lauded by the media EVERYWHERE and then to also feel the weight of her years. She better get used to it. The downswing comes for everyone. One day it will come for Taylor, too.
