The album is already displaced from #1 on the Apple sales charts and no single is above #8. Massive flop & failure. So sad!
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is riding off into the sunset

It's her 8th No. 1 album and is also No. 1 on the Country charts - a feat no other black woman has achieved. She's fine, she sends her love.
I was never a Beyonce fan before, but I listened to Cowboy Carter this weekend and it's good. Very very good.

OP is a racist troll
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 8, 2024 3:33 PM |
Wishful thinking. "Cowboy Carter" posted the biggest first week numbers since Taylor Swift's last album. A bigger total than "Renaissance."

[quote] "Cowboy Carter" posted the biggest first week numbers since Taylor Swift's last album
Yes, and they were 1/4 of those numbers.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 8, 2024 3:38 PM |
R5 so is she flopping or not because 1/4 of Taylor sales is good on this day and age. Only Taylor actually sells albums these days.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 8, 2024 3:44 PM |
Because any mention of sales metrics is racist r3
🙄
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 8, 2024 3:59 PM |
Lol, I love the new Bey troll - "I never liked Bey, but now I love this album". Sure, okay.
Cowboy Carter got a bunch of curiosity listens and is now quickly tanking as the general public have figured out the album has no jams. I wonder if mainstream folks, i.e., not the Hive, will even check out her next album.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 8, 2024 4:48 PM |
Her voice sounds odd and out of place singing country or even country pop.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 8, 2024 7:05 PM |
It’s a good album. It will be fine. She hasn’t even released any videos or tour dates yet. Sales will pick up again when she does. Chill.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 8, 2024 7:10 PM |
I don't do Bey. Can't stand her.

Not when you've had the scope of coverage this twat has for this album. She has literally had every major news outlet doing multiple daily puff pieces on her and the album for weeks.

Some at Datalounge have heralded Beyonce's demise since her DEBUT solo album -- 21 years ago. I distinctly recall a thread that suggested she'd quickly disappear after leaving Destiny's Child. Some you queens are pathetic.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 8, 2024 9:09 PM |
You mean pathetic as in stanning for some middlingly talented cunt who's never going to give you time of day, R14?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 8, 2024 9:11 PM |
No, r15. Pointing out the futility of hating on Beyonce is not "stanning."
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 8, 2024 9:28 PM |
Beyondsay has been a gimmick performer for over a decade. Since she's rather stupid, lacks any class, education or ethics, and really can't carry anything on talent alone, she has to stick her ass out, be "proud" and get those tongues wagging over something other than the fact she's a greasy ho.

For that, I visit the Madonna's Tour threads.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 8, 2024 9:49 PM |
^ Bey is the "bride of Madonna".
She learned all her tricks from the 80s train wreck.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 8, 2024 9:54 PM |
Her sister Solange is much more talented.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 8, 2024 11:53 PM |
Less ghetto too.

I can drop the bitch pose and say I have tried to appreciate or enjoy Beyonce's productions. She has a fine team, obviously is a relatable-yet-detachedly-diva-ish performer, puts money into it, and almost perfectly manages the market and media. But it's only when she's humorous and keeps it light that I can go with it.
The ego-branding, the husband, the smell of something off - those are typical. There's a sense that she's as much a product as Annette Funicello, except Annette had more authenticity. Mere gloss all the way through. Even if she's not smart enough to be that cynical, plenty around her are. A lack of humility is only good for a pretty joke, not someone imitating MJ.
Sorry. I needed to think about it, because race and culture are there, too.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 8, 2024 11:58 PM |
I'm no stan but Beyonce and her team are some of the last in the pop music world to put out ALBUMS. Full bodies of work meant to be listened to as a whole, not a bunch of TikTok singles put together for vibes. I enjoyed Cowboy Carter for what it was and didn't look too deeply into the politics of it. The vocal mixing on the Miley Cyrus tune needed better production and that's all I can say to that.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 9, 2024 12:01 AM |
Taylor’s new album is out in 10 days and this junk will become a distant memory.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 9, 2024 2:21 AM |
Seriously, R24? Great, get ready of another round of media pitting these two against each other. They are both so overexposed. I wish they would put some space between their albums and tours. I feel like they are constantly in our faces.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 9, 2024 11:40 AM |
R3 so anyone who doesn’t like the OTT marketing and promotion surrounding this very average singer is a racist? Ok then.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 9, 2024 12:12 PM |
Just terrible, how embarrassing... 🙄
"Cowboy Carter has proven a groundbreaking hit. Prior to topping the Country Album chart, the lead single "Texas Hold 'Em" went straight to No. 1 on Billboard's Country Songs chart, another historic first for a Black woman. "
by Anonymous | reply 27 | April 9, 2024 12:47 PM |
I'm glad she did it though. She can make a country music album if she likes. Taylor Swift switched genres, why not.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 9, 2024 12:51 PM |
R27 what are they going to do when they run out of “firsts”? It’s always sad when they do that and then they start harping on the second third fourth fifth and sixths. “I am only the 13th woman of color to hold this city council seat!” ✊🏾
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 9, 2024 1:25 PM |
^ "they" as in colored people? ... Your pointed little hood is showing 🤨
by Anonymous | reply 30 | April 9, 2024 1:30 PM |
R30 BLACKS! AFRICAN AMERICANS!
Your little charade is wearing thin. Sane people don’t care about your race baiting agenda anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 9, 2024 1:45 PM |
Most music is disposable and forgettable now. After the initial Woke mania, people quickly moved on.
There's a reason retail stores play canned 80s music: you know the artist, the words and you can hum along.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 9, 2024 1:47 PM |
At least Swift applies her (unwarranted) popularity towards good issues once in a while.
The Carters are only about their own divinity.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 9, 2024 1:57 PM |
R33 BeyZ don’t give a fuck about the black community. You won’t find them at soup kitchens in the hood.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 9, 2024 2:01 PM |
It's not that she did a country album, it's that her team (Jay) use gimmicks for PR. It's not, "hey, I wanted to do something different", it's "I'm doing this to support black country artists". That in and of itself would be okay, except the music is mediocre at best and it really isn't 'country' or the country that real black country artists create.
Same with Renaissance. The music isn't allowed to stand on its own, it has to be an homage to gay house music (like Bey and Jay give two fucks about the gays. It's all bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 9, 2024 3:29 PM |
How about supporting a black woman in country who doesn’t do gimmicks?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 9, 2024 5:26 PM |
@r31, 😂 God, are you that fucking stupid that you couldn't figure out I was mocking r29?... Lord, help me with this one 🙄
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 9, 2024 6:28 PM |
R37 obviously got dat good edumacation. Reading comprehension.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 9, 2024 6:43 PM |
I have been trying to figure out why Beyonce would take this route and finally realized why. I don't think she is happy that Taylor Swift has more money than her. I think she feels that she is better and has been at it longer so she needed to do more. This has nothing to do with the color of anyone's skin, just the competitiveness. Everyone has to be #1, Everyone wants to have more. no one is ever just happy to be where they are. If only we put in as much energy to do for others that we do for ourselves.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 9, 2024 7:11 PM |
You're probably right, R39, that and that Beyonce has for so long been the darling of mainstream media. Seeing Taylor's tour and film do so better in comparison and then seeing Taylor being lauded by the media EVERYWHERE and then to also feel the weight of her years. She better get used to it. The downswing comes for everyone. One day it will come for Taylor, too.
