The two stars don’t appear to have any chemistry. The Tatum role was originally cast with Chris Evans.
Budget over $100 million, with two stars probably taking $20 million a piece.

Oh a movie about 1960s NASA… Groundbreaking.
ScarJo is an awful actress. Between her and Channing’s millennial line delivery and the Gen Z sarcastic script this looks like dogshit.

I don't think either of them have chemistry with anyone that I can remember. They don't seem like those sort of romantic type actors.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 8, 2024 2:55 PM |
The trailer alone is full of embarrassing anachronisms.
This. Looks. Awful.

Oh great, something else to feed the "fake" brigade. More nonsense. They just don't give up. They hate this country, no lie.

R5 is a MAGA Karen.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 8, 2024 3:18 PM |

R5 fell down and hit her head on the ground again.

The second I saw Scarlet's horrible hair I knew this was a major turkey. Flop Me To The Moon starring Scarlet Flophansson and Channing Flopum.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 8, 2024 3:34 PM |
Channing Tatum had terrible chemistry with Sandra Bullock in a movie released during the pandemic. I can’t remember the name, and can’t be bothered to look it up.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 8, 2024 3:51 PM |
Scarlett's profile @ R11 is...unfortunate.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 8, 2024 3:54 PM |
r13 I'll never understand her sex symbol status. She has a nice body but her mouth area is a mess. Weird big teeth and ugly chin.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 8, 2024 4:03 PM |
R12 it was called The Lost City. I watched it just to see a lot of Channing's ass.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 8, 2024 4:14 PM |
Channing is getting a little long in the tooth for this kind of mess

It was a joke when 'woke' Hollywood made that Neil Armstrong movie a few years back and cast that smug Canadian in the leading role and didn't even show him planting the American flag on the moon, which was the entire point of the mission.
I stopped voting Democratic in recent years, because liberals have become very anti-America the farther left they've gone.
And they're not subtle about it anymore, which is stupid because most Americans are patriotic and are noticing this trend.
Who wants leaders who hate America and are ashamed of being Americans?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 8, 2024 11:44 PM |
R17? Most Americans are patriotic? Hahahaha! Most Americans don't even know what it means to be patriotic. They think voting for Trump and hanging a flag from their house (and letting it get tattered and worn) and saying "Thank you for your service" to me is patriotism.
I really hate what this country has become. I am a hop, skip, and a Trump from leaving.
Hope I don't have to.

The fake moon landing director is gay. We can see from his clothes.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 9, 2024 7:18 AM |
I did laugh at the scene where the actor auditions for Tatum's role.

Not all nepo babies are in front of the camera. A bit of digging reveals that this script was written by 30 year old 'model' Rose Gilroy, who is also incidentally, the daughter of Rene Russo and screenwriter/director Dan Gilroy (Nightcrawler) and niece to writer/director Tony Gilroy (the Bourne Films, Michael Clayton) and film editor John Gilroy.
So, yeah. Mystery solved.
(Big fan of Renee though.)

Scarlett has lost her looks and age will not be kind to Tater
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 9, 2024 9:51 AM |
Tatum had chemistry with Sandra Bullock, in my opinion. Because they both have that snarky style.
This series looks bad. And not helpful - promoting the possibly faked moon landings theory.

by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 9, 2024 11:23 AM |
Has Apple TV had any good original programming?
I don't subscribe, but the few times I've looked in at their original films and series they sound dreadful. Every capsule description worse than the one before, as though someone were trying, rather timdly, to make over the Hallmark channel. The casting likewise: actors unthought about for a long while, and with sound reason.

R34 some of their movies are ok.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 9, 2024 11:48 AM |
It looks like it could be cute and trifling. However, I agree with the comments on Johansson’s “sex appeal” and acting talent. Both are vastly overrated. And how is she even considered a box office draw? That’s like saying Chris Evans is A-list for playing Captain America!
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 9, 2024 12:18 PM |
Their whole entertainment Division feels like a tax write-off. They don’t care if it loses money.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 9, 2024 12:20 PM |
R37 Most of Scarlett's movies outside of marvel are box office bombs. That's why I don't understand why she is still hired? She doesn't even deserve it because in the beyond the blinds spotify podcast "our favorite Chris (Evans)" episode, it was said that she was allegedly a coke head well into 2018. That's why she already looks 48. Lazy drug-whores get rewarded with exclusive apple movies while talented actresses are ignored. Sad.

Even in her “heyday” when straight Jewish boys proclaimed her to be their high standard for beauty, she still looked like a cheap, plump, Lolita-wannabe to me!

Scarlett can suck the chrome off a1958 Buick in record time.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 9, 2024 3:36 PM |
I like Scarlett. But I imagine Channing's pumpkin head makes him hard to photograph.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 9, 2024 5:09 PM |
This movie was funded by the right. The left had nothing to do with it, but the righties (or Russian bots) like R17 will lie and pretend and disavow their own side.

It's so ridic that Channing is sticking around and doing these rom coms as he's aging and looking like a pumpkin head.
When he created his production company [33 and Out] with his "very good friend" Reid Carolin - the plan was in the title. Then they hit with their first major movie - Magic Mike - and even Carolin has moved on.
BTW- Channing is now 43. Tick tick, gurl.

She'd have to, at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | April 11, 2024 2:43 AM |
Is no place safe feom these ignorant simpleton conservatives who think being honest about our country’s history is somehow “unpatriotic.”
Demanding that our country and its politicians live up to our ideals and constitution even when we fall short of it IS patriotism. This means you, R 17, you stupid douchebag. Get in your time machine and go back to Nazi Germany or the antebellum south or whatever benighted time you find comforting, and leave te rest of us in the 21st Century.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | April 11, 2024 3:03 AM |
The two stars do look a little old for this kind of thing, but I would totally watch this on TV. In the movies I’m not so sure.

Apple appears to be where Netflix and Amazon were a few years back - spending mountaint to create content to see what sticks.
They haven't hit the point where they've been forced to scale back as the others have.
I can see a strategy where they've been forced to build a high profile (read: projects with big names) library in order to reach some sort of market scale, but will eventually scale back. Also, they may be just trying a bunch of stuff to build data and models on viewing patterns, subscriptions, etc. so they can better gauge future projects. It's not like Netflix or Amazon are sharing their performance metrics and data with them.

A movie about a pretend faked moon landing is intended to further feed the Magat lie machine. There is no other purpose to this junk and Channing Tatum is an ugly old fag who should stick to what he knows: sucking dick!
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 11, 2024 4:20 AM |
Perhaps people are finding humor in the “faked moon landing” conspiracy because of people like r55
After all a greater number of people have come to the conclusion that the Space Race was a colossal waste that didn’t solve anything. Look at R55, still clearly fighting the Cold War, proving the Space Race was never won.
Fun fact, Stanley Kubrick’s film 2001: A Space Odyssey is actually a critique of the Space Race, which Kubrick viewed as a tool of illuminati social control.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 11, 2024 4:53 AM |
I think the moon landing was fake because they just simply used high-tech Hollywood cameras to film it in a studio in order to say: Russia Russia Russia
