When asked if she had a favorite between Beyoncé’s and Dolly’s version she tells the annoying and desperate reporter, “Nope, BYE!”

If Bey were really a 2024 feminist, she’d invite Jolene to join their polycule.

Frankly, I can't stand feminists anymore.
They all seem to be 'woke' now and out of touch with reality/biology.

Who gives a rat’s ass what any of these wash ed up old people think?

Jolene had agency.

I’m going to throw a fit over a 50 year old song! Yes I am!

All of this over a song Dolly wrote about a bank teller who was flirting with her husband 🙄

Interestingly, I think Luke Combs's version of Fast Car works better than this version of Jolene.
Like I Will Always Love You, some songs work in "translation" better than other songs.

R4 That is mostly fourth wave feminists. They are militant misandrists.

Reba never met a fence she wouldn't sit on.

Then, she should teach classes in it to all the young celebrities.
Being discreet and keeping your opinions to yourself is more often than not the better and more appropriate choice.
She's smart not getting drawn into a situation in which she would only receive criticism without any upside.

R14 is intelligent
R13 sounds like a histrionic drama queen

Shut the fuck up, Celebrities 101 with Professor Reba.
Funny enough, Joy obviously disagrees.

^ All Reba is saying is, "I don't shit where I eat"... Good philosophy to have

What has Reba said about Trump?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 7, 2024 12:49 PM |
R16 I like how Reba doesn't fall for the trap.

Who gives a fuck what Joy Behar thinks about anything?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 7, 2024 1:01 PM |
[quote]Joy Behar says the original "Jolene" is a song that's actually bad for women
Not everything is a message or teachable moment.
One thing about Country Music is that it always put real feelings out there. The listener didn’t have to agree with the message, but understood that someone in a certain situation could feel a certain way.
The woman singing Jolene is insecure about her relationship. That doesn’t make her weak or wrong. It makes her human.

Political extremist groups in the US require complete adherence to their beliefs. It’s like they want a dictatorship.
