Allegedly, she was a major cunt when she was on SNL.

But I still thought she was hilarious, especially when she did Pat Stevens. "As you can tell, I'm a former model. Thank you!"

And when she teamed up with Jan Hooks for the Sweeney Sisters, it was magical.

I loved it whenever she did Linda Dano.

R2 Oh, yes! She and Jan Hooks sending up that awful Lifetime "Attitudes" show was hilarious.

She’s a Mark Ruffalo type. She makes a huge deal out of her political leanings, and you can’t help but think all the drama about it is a bit narcissistic.

I don’t remember who it is she boycotted when he was guest host — maybe Andrew dice clay? I mean, that guy is an asshole too, but shut up and do your job.

I say this as a paleo liberal by the way. I’m probably aligned with her politics but wish she hadn’t been so dramatic about it.

R5 Yes, she was sleeping with Lorne. I recall reading somewhere that her affair with Lorne played into why other cast members didn't boycott the show with her when Andrew Dice Clay hosted.

Her brother Kevin was hilarious on Veep.

R11, I recall Joan Rivers criticized her for that.

She looks very beautiful in the photo in the OP.

She was no longer sleeping with Lorne by the time she boycotted the Andrew Dice Clay episode. The rest of the cast hated her for that move because she told the press about it before she told anyone on the show.

I don't think she ever appeared again on SNL after the boycott.

Year, it was near the end of the season and everyone agreed it would be better if she didn't come back. It was the end of her contract anyhow.

I vaguely remember her and Dana Carvey playing a pair of stereotypical Chinese recurring characters. It was very racist and cringeworthy, but it looks like Lorne had the skits scrubbed from the internet.

Andrew Dice Clay? No dice.

Nora Dunn as Pat Stevens is my all-time favorite SNL character.

Nora as Linda Dano and Jan Hooks in a take off of "Attitudes" is brilliant.

I was going to write that her career seemed lackluster after SNL, but checking her credits proves me wrong. She's had some memorable credits and when she showed up on screen, you knew both what you were going to get and that it would be bitchy fun.

Her origins seem to be from the same part of Ireland that John and Joan Cusack's are. She looks enough like them to be their sister.

She and Mo Gaffney are a scream in Drop Dead Gorgeous.

Andrew Dice Clay was disgusting. It's annoying that he's reinvented himself as some nebbish good guy. Thanks to Woody Allen.

I thought Lorne was a homosexualist.
