HBO was ready to fire Levinson but new A-Listers Zendaya, Sydney and Jacob stepped in and stopped that from happening.

This makes sense. I kept wondering why HBO hasn’t fired him yet. They’ve fired others for less. It’s because his cast is probably threatening to walk if he is let go.

What the fuck is wrong with that guy?
His scripts (with that idea) were not even like the same show, at least HBO was smart enough to say- This does not even feel like the same universe.
At best the show will not even air again until early 2026, and I am really wondering if the 3rd season will be a monumental disappointment. It sounds like HBO is trying to avoid that.

Allegedly they will cut season 3 down from 8 episodes to 6 to help him be able to finish the scripts and have better writing.
How about force him to work with other writers? At this point a writers room is necessary.

I hope Season 3 never happens, It's going to be absolute shit. It was a great cast and Season 1 but it's clear Sam can't follow through and with the most important people now top stars I hope it keeps getting delayed to the point where they can just put out a press release confirming it's over.

To be fair, Levinson did have to rewrite the scripts regardless due to the untimely death of Angus Cloud. Allegedly Fez was heavily involved in season 3 and had a huge part. Cloud’s untimely death clearly has caused everything to be rewritten.
That’s no excuse for everything else though.
