House of Gucci, White Noise, and Ferrari were all disappointments. The Last Duel and 65 both flopped hard.
Why did Adam Driver’s career go down the shitter?

65 was very simple but I thought it was diverting like an old matinee movie.
It was hard to maintain any semblance of a career during the pandemic and immediately afterward.

Cause he is an ugly cunt, with no warmth.

He seems a lot like the character he played in Girls in real life
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 19, 2024 4:08 AM |
For starters, he's an ugly asshole.

Beautiful men are never taken seriously.

This guy is so fug. I don't understand the people who say they find him hot.
But there is some portion of the population that find Chalamet hot, too.

He's a total cunt in real life. Even before he was famous. A friend of mine did a play with Driver before he hit it big and said he was an arrogant asshole and very contemptuous of everyone around him. Then I met him around that time and he really was as cunty as I was told, and even physically uglier in preson. I found him quite literally repellent.

Oh yeah r7 well he saved my cat from dying and gave me money when I needed it. I saw him help an old lady across the street.

He’s a “working actor” in the old-school sense, the Star Wars ish made him a “star” in a different way and he has done so many good roles that come to him since then, working with great directors (Scorsese, Coppola, Scott, Mann, etc.). It seems Megalopolis will be a deciding factor as he moved on in his career.

IMO, Adam is SO ugly that he loops back around to being hot.

His career is fine, he's made some meh films recently. Didn't he just star in Dune?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 19, 2024 4:39 AM |
I met Adam at a London Fashion Week party where I was the biggest nobody and he was pleasant. Perhaps he was "on" around all the VIPs.

He has a huge dick.

He’s unusual looking to be sure, but my biggest problem with him is his acting. His dial is either at “zero” or “eleven,” like modern acting’s answer to 90’s grunge rock. There’s no real range or versatility there, though he attempts to disguise that by taking on a wide range of roles in both niche films and blockbusters. He clearly takes himself quite seriously, and fancies himself as some sort of “serious” actor—probably talks to his intimates about “craft” and “process” and the like. But at the end of the day, he doesn’t really bring anything to the table as an actor other than an unrefined (yet, ironically, still contrived) intensity. He’s just not all that good.

Enjoyed him in Ferrari.

It’s not gone down the shitter, but it’s obvious he’s going to be more of a Christian Bale-type actor than an actual movie star. Nothing wrong with that.

He should star in a "Mr. Ed" movie.
