Will this woman EVER stop being a cunt?
What a shitty thing to do, as last year's Best Supporting Actress winner.
I told you all she didn't deserve it.

What an attention whore. Also, she's copying Hillary Swank, going out for a fast food burger after the Oscars.

Is her husband ever with her or does he avoid her too?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | March 11, 2024 2:38 AM |
Leaving an event early, as an invited special guest is just so fucking tacky.
And she probably thinks she's "cool" and "edgy" for doing it.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 11, 2024 2:40 AM |
I used to like her. Or maybe I just thought I did. I suppose it's possible she's always been a cunt.

The In n Out on orange has the longest line in the nation on Gay Super Bowl Sunday.

She’s a terribly vile woman.

How would she like it if someone left early -- before her award category?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 11, 2024 2:57 AM |
For fuck's sake. No one there cared a bit. Why should you?

by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 11, 2024 3:12 AM |
[quote] For fuck's sake. No one there cared a bit. Why should you?
Because it's rude and it's selfish.
AND she won Best Supporting Actress only one year ago, so she should surely understand how important it is to stay for the entire event.
More than anyone else in the auditorium, last year's winners should stay until the very end.
People WILL notice her absence, not only because she won last year, but she was also a presenter in a major award category.
As someone who was born into "Hollywood Royalty," and also spent her entire life in Hollywood, she should understand Hollywood etiquette better than almost anyone else.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 11, 2024 3:13 AM |
The evening is interminable. It's bewildering more people don't do the same.
The line to the toilet was probably shorter at In & Out.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 11, 2024 3:14 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 11, 2024 3:14 AM |
Tomorrow, she'll say she left because not enough people of color were winning.
And she'll ask Emma Stone to cede her Oscar to Lily Gladstone to make a statement about American colonialism.

Only if JLC will "cede" her Oscar to Angela Bassett.

I thought she lived here in Los Angeles, so when she wrote that she flew in and was flying back out, maybe she's filming on location somewhere and needed to get back for work in the morning.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 11, 2024 3:35 AM |
The show wrapped at 7:15 LA time, so she had 15 minutes to make the early-bird special.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 11, 2024 3:39 AM |
No one who won an award tonight would care if she left early. She was there to present an award. You people are stupidly uptight.

It's important to note that In-n-Out fries SUCK.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 11, 2024 5:57 AM |
It's rude and tacky. Part of me thinks she couldn't stand to see someone else win and get the attention this year. What if people forget SHE won an Oscar!!
She's really irritating, and I've had sufficient.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 11, 2024 5:59 AM |
Meh. I don't blame her for beating the traffic.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 11, 2024 6:06 AM |
I did this as a tribute to my immigrant ancestors whose only luxury in life was sharing take-out fries on Oscar night! As an Oscar winner myself, I remember them as I eat this food for the family soul and I say L'Chaim!!
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 11, 2024 6:19 AM |
Did she take her Oscar statuette with her to get burgers?
Is there a chance she left it in the crapper of the In N Out Burger at Venice and Culver?
And yes, their fries suck ass.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 11, 2024 6:29 AM |
There's an In-N-Out on Sunset, a half mile due south of the Dolby Theatre.
She could have gone there to grab a burger and stuff her face, then gone to the various Oscar parties where she would just nibble at the hors d'oeuvres.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 11, 2024 6:34 AM |
r36, you really don't know how Angelinos name things.
Hollywood Blvd is miles and miles long.
Sunset Blvd is miles and miles long. They run east and westish.
In Hollwood, Orange is a few blocks long between them.
The In-N-Out is on Orange and Sunset is called the In-N-Out on Orange.
It is infamous.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 11, 2024 6:44 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 38 | March 11, 2024 6:45 AM |
Why would anyone care about this?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | March 11, 2024 6:54 AM |
She CONSTANTLY has to draw attention to herself. She's so hyper.
We never used to hear a thing about her, now she'll make sure you hear about her, whether you want to hear it or not. I never see her husband with her. He's probably embarrassed. Her quest for the award last year was so cringeworthy. I bet they gave her the award just to shut her the hell up.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | March 11, 2024 8:42 AM |
And her husband made a movie all about how crazy Hollywood people get about the Oscars: For Your Consideration. He's got to be mortified that his wife acts just like a character in his movies!
by Anonymous | reply 43 | March 11, 2024 9:00 AM |
Some of you have waaaay too much time on your hands.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | March 11, 2024 9:04 AM |
Here's the thing.
If you're going to leave early, then why bother showing up at all?
The point of attending the Oscars, is to honor the nominees. ALL the nominees.
So if you don't want to do that, then don't go.
Some may say, "Well she had to go. She won last year, and she had to present this year's award."
Exactly the point. She won last year. So why would she ever think of leaving early?
It's just so disrespectful to the other nominees.
And yes, she could have refused to go. But people would see just how much of an asshole she is, so she went to do her part and then left.
At least people still got to see just how much of an asshole she is.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | March 11, 2024 9:13 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 51 | March 11, 2024 12:45 PM |
R45 for Christ sake, she’s under no obligation to stay after she did her Oscar duty. The day after the nominations, she publicly stated where’s my invitation to present, not knowing it may take a few weeks before they work out the show details, and invite the presenters. Even though the show did well this year imo in terms of time and entertainment value, it’s still a slog to sit through in person. Dustin Hoffman once said it’s extremely crowded and you have to wait to use the bathrooms, and a far cry from what the public see on television. I could see if she skipped the Oscars as presenter, especially as a winner last year, and went to have a burger, but she didn’t do that. I’m guessing no one cared at all when she took off early.

She had her moment to shine when she won the award.
Jamie Lee Curtis bowed out gracefully. Plus, isn't she in recovery? Perhaps she did not feel comfortable around all the party-goers.
And she's older and wiser. Been there, done that attitude.
Good for her!

by Anonymous | reply 58 | March 11, 2024 2:05 PM |
Bad analogy. This is one night per year, which also happens to be the most important night in Hollywood where your colleagues get honoured, much like how she got honoured the year before.

She should have packed a Boniva in her purse.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | March 11, 2024 3:45 PM |

[quote]The point of attending the Oscars, is to honor the nominees. ALL the nominees.
So you don't know why Louis B. Mayer started the Academy?
This is more of a mandatory Pan-Hollywood PR event.
After the modern installation of the Red Carpet, the actual awards are secondary to the overall spectacle.
If Jamie Lee cuts out after Rob Lowe and Snow White started singing and dancing, well, it is what it is.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | March 11, 2024 4:51 PM |
Oh it was fine that she left- but bragging about it was indeed tacky. She should have slipped away gracefully and maybe not have taken to social media about doing it and going through a drive-thru.
And R65, this is what DL does and has always done. Did you miss the tagline about pointless bitchery? Before shady cunts like you found the site and deluged it in non-stop political threads, this is what it was. And the GAY MEN that the site was created by, and for, liked it that way.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | March 11, 2024 5:01 PM |
R66 most people see the glamour and movie star aspect of it watching from tv. As opposed to a theater, concert or sporting event that most have been to, very few not connected to the industry (aside from family and friends of nominees) get to attend the Oscars.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | March 11, 2024 5:10 PM |
It's very possible that she is filming somewhere as she stated she flew in from somewhere and was flying out. Some people don't even show up to the Oscars if that is the case.

People like you have no sense of decorum or manners.
You're rude, selfish, and thoughtless.
It comes from a lack of breeding, that proves you are nothing but absolute trash.
And the worst part is that you don't even realize it.

Why does everyone treat In-n-Out as the eighth wonder of the world every time they come to LA? Almost everyone who flies into LA has to marvel and take photos of the In-n-Out near LAX and post it to their Instagram.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | March 11, 2024 5:18 PM |
Lots of people, including me, don't think In N Out is that great. Weird that long-time LA dwellers still think it's a big deal. I'm guessing it's because it's regional (vs. McDonald's). My brother has lived in LA for a long time and he took me there for the first time. I didn't want to tell him that I was not impressed.
I think In N Out is relatively cheap, or used to be.

Fine dining choice. I go with two double-doubles and a chocolate shake. Skip the fries.

OP-No one cares about the Oscars anymore because no one goes to the movies anymore.

R124 Yeah, that's why Barbie and Oppenheimer broke box office records.

I wonder if Jamie Lee Curtis has shat out her In-N-Out meal yet.

R125 I think you are kissing r124’s point. Average moviegoing viewership has declined. Increasingly successful films in theaters are marketed as “events”.

plus ticket inflation

You do realize you can still watch movies without going to a theatre?

R126 In N Out is the new Activia slogan and Oscar winner JLC is our new spokesperson!

If the award I was presenting was first, and I had no other reason to hang around, I'd be out the door, too.
The gridlock after an awards show is really annoying, so why not beat the worst of it?
Now, when people are nominated and lose, I think they should stick around. Leaving early in that situation seems bad form.

I forget who it was, but either Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, or Eddie Murphy left the Oscar telecast early because they didn't win (the year Dreamgirls was nominated).
Or at least that was the rumor.

[quote]Almost everyone who flies into LA has to marvel and take photos of the In-n-Out near LAX and post it to their Instagram.
It’s a herd mentality thing. Everyone does it because … everyone does it. It’s like boomers being photographed in front of the fucking Cabazon dinosaurs, Gen X with the bungee jumping, and tattoos and Harry fucking Potter for millennials.

R126 Check her InstaGram, I'm sure she posted about it.

Michael Myers had one, fucking job.

That was Eddie Murphy, r132.

Yeah, cause she drove herself home.

R136 He knows it was Eddie Murphy. He just wanted to lump all blacks together. Everyone knows the Queen and Jamie Foxx are the epitome of class.
by Anonymous | reply 138 | March 13, 2024 12:35 AM |
R37 People outside of LA really don’t care, though.
by Anonymous | reply 139 | March 15, 2024 5:14 AM |
R138 Nothing says "class" like wearing dead furry animals to the pool that your "talent" bought you, or demonstrating functional illiteracy so blatant that Oprah and Sidney Poitier basically put a hit out on you after you win an Oscar.
by Anonymous | reply 140 | March 15, 2024 5:25 AM |
In old photos I’ve seen from the Oscars, there’s a point after the ceremony when the winners are photographed by the press, often with the presenters. I’ve also seen one where all the presenters came back onstage at the end, so it seems customary to stay until the end of the show if you’re in the show.

R142 Right 😂. I don’t even know what that cunt was referring 2.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | March 15, 2024 2:26 PM |
R142 and R144 Beyoncé and Jamie Foxx, obviously.
For the latter, look up his disastrous visit to The Howard Stern Show, where he stumbles through a story about how Oprah basically abducted him for the day and forced him to sit through an awkward lecture from Sidney Poitier and a bunch of other Black celebrities about how he was fucking it all up and needed to get it together or else. His ramblings are indeed incoherent, but he talks like a mafia squealer.
