Couldn't they have gotten a couple of hotter guys for this film?

by Anonymousreply 4March 10, 2024 10:02 AM

Wonder if they had real sex to get into character?

by Anonymousreply 5March 10, 2024 10:09 AM

The rehearsal process was grueling

by Anonymousreply 6March 10, 2024 6:17 PM

I'm excited for this movie. Been waiting ever since I first found out about it a while ago. Glad to know they're finally filming.

To break the ice, they stretched one another's foreskins over their heads.

by Anonymousreply 8March 16, 2024 12:33 PM

Both are good actors who, bless them, have shown their big cocks.

by Anonymousreply 9March 16, 2024 2:29 PM

How many more gay films do these guys have to be in before they come out?

by Anonymousreply 11April 27, 2024 5:12 PM

For Josh, at least one more after Challengers -- Separate Rooms

by Anonymousreply 12April 28, 2024 2:12 AM

Paul looks super dumpy in the period costume

by Anonymousreply 13April 28, 2024 2:17 AM

Paul Mescal will not be playing gay or bi in his next movie, which is "Hamnet". He plays William Shakespeare.

Oh, wait.

Great, Shakespeare was gay as fuck

by Anonymousreply 15April 28, 2024 2:31 AM

They should just call the movie "Gay As Fuck"

by Anonymousreply 16April 28, 2024 2:58 AM

Hamnet is the name of Shakespeare's son, who died at age 11.

R15, to be precise, Shakespeare was bisexual.

by Anonymousreply 20April 28, 2024 7:31 AM

I can find no info on whether Shakespeare's alleged bisexuality is covered in the novel or the play ("Hamnet"). So maybe it won't even be dealt with in the upcoming film.

Aging like only men from Britain and Ireland age. They already look like chartered accountants, on their way to stale pale male.

by Anonymousreply 22April 28, 2024 1:07 PM

They are both totally hot r22

You haven’t had sex for the last 20 years, haven’t you

Paul Mescal recently commented on the script for the upcoming film "The History of Sound."

[quote] “Of all the scripts I’ve ever read, that’s the one that broke my heart the most.”

This comment immediately scared a lot of people on Twitter as they reflected on the fact that he had also done "Aftersun" and "All of Us Strangers."

So more heartbreaking than "All of Us Strangers"?

To paraphrase thousands of Letterboxd reviews and comments:

"Why can't the gays ever be happy?"

Wiki info on The History of Sound film-

[quote] The History of Sound is an upcoming historical romantic drama film directed by Oliver Hermanus. Based on the short story of the same name by Ben Shattuck, it's about the relationship of two young men (Josh O'Connor and Paul Mescal) who meet in 1916 and then travel together in the summer of 1919 to record the folk songs of their countrymen in rural New England.

[quote] In June 2024, it was reported the film would not be ready in time for the autumn festivals due to its score and sound production, and would instead aim for a 2025 Cannes Film Festival debut.
