I'm sorry he killed himself, but all the intactivists I know (I have an outspoken female one in my Jewish family) have seemed off-balance in some deep way--the inactivism is simply a symptom of some sense of lack or indignation. Yes, I know we rail against "female circumcision/female genital mutilation." They just aren't the same as male circumcision.
