It's an architectural wonder.
Tasteful friends: you can now buy Billie Porter's broke ass house

How dreary.
Bad architecture, bad interiors.

When you spend every penny that you make, and then some, you are forced to liquidate the moment things take the slightest negative turn.

$2.5M and it has a septic tank? Fuck YOU, Billy.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 27, 2024 10:41 PM |
Does it come with a nacreous layer of permacum?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 27, 2024 10:41 PM |
My goodness, so many windows and open spaces and balconies... why it's just perfect for an exhibitionist!

What r3 said.

Not sure if the ex husband had money but this house looks like it was a bit much for a TV star. It’s not like he’s been non-stop employed over the last several years. I’m guessing he was living well beyond his means and blowing every dime he made. A 118 day strike doesn’t really make you lose your house. Most banks will agree to defer a couple of payments or you could refinance, take out a HELOC to pay the mortgage for a while etc. There was a lot more going on there besides an actors strike. The actors strike did not cause this.

Remove the can lights and the replace the file floors. I like the idea of a soaring screened in porch but that one is so plain and dull in design. Perhaps it should be a winter garden with palm trees. It's a pedestrian middle class design but it's a relaxing house and could be warmed up and comfortable. The lap pool is nice as well. I like the sleek yet dated wood kitchen.

No Miss Thing, one never, ever has a shower curtain. You can take the queen out of the ghetto, but…

Lost me at the fireplace insert
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 27, 2024 10:50 PM |
I like the living room with the massive windows and the pool. Everything else is meh.

38,000 per year in real estate tax ?!

Are caftans included?

Billy was humming this song when he closed on the house. So sad now...

Hardy har!
Billy talked about being forced to sell his (shared) house during week two or three of the strike! He hadn't even enough time to miss even a single mortgage payment! I guess we are to assume he hadn't already missed a couple, huh?
Billy Porter starred on a modest cable series which filmed eight episodes a year. A regular network series often shoots twenty-two episodes these days. For that part-time amount of work, I would have banked and invested my cash and redecorated my perfectly nice stabilized rental!

Get stranded in that elephant for six months and you would make any excuse to sell, too.
It’s 4,500 feet of nobody giving a fuck about you.

It must be hard to heat and cool that glassed in area.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 27, 2024 11:21 PM |
Do you mean the screened in porch?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 27, 2024 11:26 PM |
Even if I hit da lottery, there ain't t enough disinfectant in the state of NY to clean that filth den.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 27, 2024 11:34 PM |
That is not at all what I would expected, given his over-the-top persona.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 27, 2024 11:34 PM |
Builder's grade kitchen tiling and bathtub 🫣.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 28, 2024 12:01 AM |
How impersonal and not-at-all lay-dee-like.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 28, 2024 12:09 AM |
My goodness, fire the housekeeper. How could you have such a horribly made bed in listing photos? It is embarrassing. Oh the SHAME.

[quote]$2.5M and it has a septic tank? Fuck YOU, Billy.
Is this common for the outer NY borough areas? I just can't imagine any circumstance where I would buy a home with a septic tank.
Even if you want to live in Wyoming or Alaska, there are options that are connected to municipal services (or you can shell out for it).

How the fuck did this broke queen afford this house in the first place? Bitch never had 2 nickels to rub together. Always in arrears and always overdrawn. He was always begging to borrow a dollar off everyone he knew.

Bellport is a nice town.

This seems very elaborate for a Section 8 property?

You've got the wrong broke queen. Between years in "Kinky Boots" and three seasons of "Pose", Porter had way more than the $1.4 million he paid for this house.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 3, 2024 5:02 AM |
It's bright.
No cooktop?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 3, 2024 5:20 AM |
I don’t know why he’s blaming the strike when it’s because the house is being sold because of he’s getting a divorce.

I'm a graphic artist by trade and spend all day in Photoshop and Illustrator creating artwork and then laying it out.
The images from this real estate listing are so heavily photoshopped that I don't even know what to say. Most of the trees at the link are graphics added to the original image. I'm 99% certain the entire pool area isn't real either. There are also architectural features indoors which look very dubious.
This house doesn't look like this. Someone has created this. It's crazy.

The entire pool & surrounds and at least the hydrangeas have been added to the original image:
by Anonymous | reply 39 | March 3, 2024 6:06 AM |
Forgot to say - I'm not sure if it's real but I love the style of the decorating indoors. Very nice. You could add your own personality.

That was my first reaction too R2

R38 if what you say is true (and I see no reason to doubt it) then this house must be even uglier in reality. The trees pool and garden were about its only redeeming features
I thought Billy Porter had some taste.

R15 seriously? To live in this? Hard hard pass

The listing website would have to have a disclaimer of some sort. A buyer could purchase this property just based on the listing. Isn't photoshopping just asking for a lawsuit?

False advertising at the very least, R43.
Billie Porter has always been a grifter/fraud.
