Keith Richards should have been dead at least 25 years ago. That is beyond peculiar.

Johnny Depp, who I was sure who have dropped dead by age 50 with all the chain smoking, drugs and alcohol consumption, is still alive at 60..

R1 - I read his autobiography "Life" and it sounds like there are two, well, three factors contributing to his longevity/why he didn't OD. The first and obvious is that as a wealthy rock star he could afford the best and purest heroin. Second, he said shot up intramuscularly, not intravenously so the release is slower over time, not a huge rush to the system and harder to OD.

And last, he's got incredible genetics. He did stop using heroin , but kept on drinking and as far as I could tell, he kept drinking and he drank *prodigious* amounts of hard liquor. Frankly, I'm more surprised that as a long-term alcoholic, related diseases, organ damage, etc. haven't gotten him. Doctors must be amazed when the examine him before tours for insurance clearance.

He binge drinks too, during performances and gets shitfaced at parties. It could be the booze that’s aging him as well.

Definitely Johnny Depp. But it won't be long now. His film career is over so he'll have plenty of time to drink and drug himself into the grave.
