Who knew Leslie was the one holding this thing together. We could really use his comedies right now.

Where are his nudes?

by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 18, 2024 6:22 PM |
He was fine his whole life.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 18, 2024 6:26 PM |
Such great deadpan delivery.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 18, 2024 6:37 PM |
His shirtless scene in the first Naked Gun is definitely worth a look.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 18, 2024 6:43 PM |
I had no idea that he died. When?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 18, 2024 6:55 PM |
R6 also wants a new car and is looking for an Oldsmobile.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 18, 2024 7:31 PM |
He was hilarious until someone told him he was hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 18, 2024 7:34 PM |
Isn't Leslie a woman's name?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 18, 2024 7:42 PM |
What does that mean, R8?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 18, 2024 8:00 PM |
R9 As explained by Higgins in Ted Lasso, the name is a 'feminine junior" -- the boy is named after his mother.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 19, 2024 2:08 AM |
I always thought he was hot as fuck - every decade.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 19, 2024 2:44 AM |
I loved Wrongfully Accused. I used to see his daughters in horse shows 40 years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 19, 2024 2:50 AM |
We'll never see the likes of the Swamp Fox again!
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 19, 2024 2:55 AM |
[quote] Isn't Leslie a woman's name?
The nerve of his parents!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 19, 2024 2:59 AM |
That was a good one, R13. I forgot about it. And it’s on Tubi! I’m watching it right now thanks to you.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 19, 2024 3:00 AM |
All three Naked Gun movies are on Max. I watched them all during a bout with COVID.
The first one is still hilarious, the second one falters, but the third one is not bad at all (and features a scene with Pia Zadora playing herself at the Oscars).

He developed quite the pot belly when he mocked Demi Moore’s beautiful pregnancy 🫄 cover of Vanity Fair magazine.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 19, 2024 3:48 AM |
Good Lord he was an attractive man.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 19, 2024 3:50 AM |
[quote]What does that mean, [R8]?
Not R8, but I think what they mean is that the hilarity faded when he became self aware and started putting obvious effort into being funny.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 19, 2024 3:59 AM |
TCM shows 'Forbidden Planet' frequently--it's on Monday, Feb. 26th and again on April 22.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | February 19, 2024 4:36 AM |
Fun fact - he lost a toe in a mowing accident as a child.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 19, 2024 4:43 AM |
So Leslie Nielsen in bikini briefs with Barbra Streisand is pretty much gay nirvana circa 1985, right?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 19, 2024 5:28 AM |
Said to be gay even though he got married several times.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 19, 2024 5:41 AM |
[quote]His shirtless scene in the first Naked Gun is definitely worth a look.
R5, he's shirtless in Tammy and the Bachelor.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | February 19, 2024 5:51 AM |
And, he was an old beau of Jessica Fletcher, and he married Dorothy Zbornak.

That digit got mulched!

OP, the world started going downhill the day Adam died, and the descent is only getting faster.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 19, 2024 7:01 AM |
It’s like Charles Nelson Reilly was hiding inside he-man Leslie Nielsen all those years and then he started busting out.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | February 19, 2024 9:20 AM |
I remember being 10 or so when I first say Naked Gun. I clearly had a daddy thing even then because I could not keep my eyes off Nielsen.
I was in love. I think I even planned our wedding at some point.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | February 19, 2024 10:05 AM |
That would be a granddaddy thing, R32.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 19, 2024 1:22 PM |
I was in my mid-teens when the Naked Gun films came out and I felt the same way, R32
by Anonymous | reply 34 | February 20, 2024 6:41 AM |
You guys are different. I also first saw the Naked Gun movies as a kid but I never thought to myself “God I wish Frank Drebin would plow me.”
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 20, 2024 4:43 PM |
I'm not R32, but he said he planned their wedding when he was 10, not "God I wish Frank Drebin would plow me.”
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 27, 2024 12:10 AM |
Lawd Op if you think that all one can say is Lawd.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 27, 2024 12:15 AM |
OP, how come you didn’t say “passed away” like a timid Gen Z?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 27, 2024 12:38 AM |
Bring back Leslie
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 29, 2024 1:45 PM |
What do you think he was planning to happen on the wedding night, r36?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 29, 2024 1:52 PM |
Don't call him Shirley.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 29, 2024 4:11 PM |
I still love the Naked Gun films. Yes they're silly, but sometimes you just need a bit of silly humour.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 29, 2024 4:43 PM |
I have to admit he had a great body for his age in that "Nuts" clip.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 29, 2024 4:58 PM |
So good WE NAMED IT!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 29, 2024 5:31 PM |
Jim Abrahams, the man who helped birth Leslie as we know him today, has just died.

by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 27, 2024 2:45 AM |
He’s a shirtless brute for the last half of the running time of “Day of the Animals”. He gets his comeuppance by being mauled by a grizzly bear while attempting to rape Andrew Stevens’ girlfriend in a thunderstorm! ⛈️
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 27, 2024 2:50 AM |
Didn’t Bea find him insufferable? I seem to recall reading that he passed gas as a form of humor on the set and the Girls were less than charmed.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | November 27, 2024 2:55 AM |
He gave up the "serious dramatic actor" career for comedy and killed it! Airplane will live forever. God bless you, Leslie, and RIP.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | November 27, 2024 3:09 AM |
He hosted a great late 80s SNL.
“By the way, I’m terrified of gorillas so please don’t dress like one.”
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 27, 2024 3:11 AM |
I have "The Naked Gun" trilogy DVD signed by him. Thanks CHILLER!
by Anonymous | reply 52 | November 27, 2024 3:13 AM |
I just watched The Naked Gun movies like a week ago on Tubi. I’ll never get tired of them,
by Anonymous | reply 53 | November 27, 2024 3:52 AM |
R36, I don't think I was quite ready to give up my bussy at age 10.
But in a few short years there after? Oh hell yeah. Nielsen could have done whatever he wanted.
I can still jack off to him! Haha.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | November 27, 2024 4:23 AM |
He enjoyed pranking with whoopee cushions and fart sounds. What's not to love about the guy?
by Anonymous | reply 55 | November 28, 2024 3:23 AM |
He's walking around in heaven with his portable fart device, annoying everyone reading the Bible to the swans by the lake
by Anonymous | reply 56 | November 28, 2024 3:27 AM |
I may have been the uglier sibling but at least I have an airport named after me

by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 28, 2024 5:41 AM |
Thank you for posting that, R57. I read the whole fascinating article just now. I hadn’t a clue about any of that stuff and learned quite a few things about Canada and its politics. I didn’t even know Leslie had a brother.
[QUOTE] Now you may notice that Nielsen’s last name is somewhat familiar. Well, there is a reason for that but I did not go into it in much detail because this episode is about Erik, not his world famous brother, Leslie. That’s right, Leslie Nielsen was the brother of Erik Nielsen and would only outlive him by two years, passing away in 2010. For 20 years, Leslie was known as the brother of Erik, who was much more famous, but by the 1980s, Erik was known as the brother of Leslie and he was often mistaken for him out in public.
