Joe Rogan is promoting AIDS denialism

Gross, I hate this asshole

by Anonymousreply 85February 19, 2024 11:22 PM

What a fucking pig, Someone should sue him again.

by Anonymousreply 1February 16, 2024 9:00 AM

Joe Rogan's fall is inevitable. I'm just waiting with popcorn. He's fucking around too much to not find out, eventually.

by Anonymousreply 2February 16, 2024 9:36 AM

Rogan's fans are absolute morons who tell themselves they're 'deep thinkers' and 'intellectuals' because they watch his show and it's all total bullshit.

Rogan is a p.o.s. pushing lies.

by Anonymousreply 3February 16, 2024 10:28 AM

It’s sad how a bunch of morons are ready to accept the hypotheses of 2-3 crackpots as truths rather than believe thousands of researchers who’ve dedicated their lives to understanding diseases like AIDS. And then guys like Rogan have a popular platform to give these crackpots a platform. I’m so tired of uneducated hicks telling me to do my own research. I know people who work in the sciences, and I know they’re dedicated to doing that research for me. It’s all just so frustrating.

by Anonymousreply 4February 16, 2024 10:36 AM

We're just asking questions!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 5February 16, 2024 10:38 AM

OP, why are you so obsessed with him? Enough already. Jesus.

by Anonymousreply 6February 16, 2024 10:54 AM

I'm not OP but what the fuck is that supposed to mean R6?

by Anonymousreply 7February 16, 2024 11:01 AM

Shut up R6 you dumb twat.

by Anonymousreply 8February 16, 2024 12:25 PM

Then he should allow a DL Eldergay to bareback him a few times to prove his point.

by Anonymousreply 9February 16, 2024 12:48 PM

R6 wants to suck Rogan's tiny dick and lick his shit encrusted asshole.

by Anonymousreply 10February 16, 2024 12:51 PM

If AIDS is caused by party drugs, I need to call Gay Men's Health Crisis and tell them I died 20 years ago.

by Anonymousreply 11February 16, 2024 12:52 PM

I need video of Rogan fucking 8-year-old boys to be leaked to the media IMMEDIATELY. Plus, video of him eating and masturbating with the excrement of said 8 year olds while wearing an oversized baby bonnet, a paci, and for some odd reason, pink panties and red fuck me hooker shoes.

by Anonymousreply 12February 16, 2024 1:02 PM

This idiot makes millions off of dumb bros all over the world. Fuck this guy.

by Anonymousreply 13February 16, 2024 1:12 PM

"Weinstein also told Rogan he came to these ideas by reading a recent book by anti-vaccine activist and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, creating a sort of unholy turducken of misinformation passed onto an audience of millions. "

holy turducken of misinformation - great turn of phrase

by Anonymousreply 17February 16, 2024 5:20 PM

Trolling as usual, r6?

by Anonymousreply 18February 16, 2024 5:30 PM

R7, we don’t need updates on Joe Rogan. Don’t like him, don’t listen to him. There will always be crackpots.

by Anonymousreply 19February 16, 2024 6:21 PM

RFK Jr might even be worse than Rogan

by Anonymousreply 20February 16, 2024 7:41 PM

Joe doesn't believe it because he got railed so many times in the early Eighties and never got it

by Anonymousreply 21February 16, 2024 7:46 PM

R16, he is fucking trash. Ugh, reading that makes me want send him to Guantanamo so he can get waterboarded.

by Anonymousreply 22February 16, 2024 8:01 PM

Oh great, more minimalizing of this.

by Anonymousreply 23February 16, 2024 8:05 PM

Luc Montagnier, the man who isolated HIV, at the end of his life, wasn't opposed to the idea of co-factors contributing to HIV infection. I didn't watch the video but if that's what's being discussed it, it's hardly denialism. Singular diseases can be caused by multiple things.

by Anonymousreply 24February 16, 2024 10:35 PM

He is a boil on the ass of humanity

by Anonymousreply 25February 16, 2024 11:23 PM

Didn't Spotify just re-up Rogan's contract to something like $250 million?

by Anonymousreply 26February 16, 2024 11:27 PM

This is just the GOP laying the groundwork to roll back gay marriage by painting the gay community as pill-popping unhealthy degenerates. Rogan is their favourite propagandist these days.

by Anonymousreply 27February 16, 2024 11:29 PM

[quote]This idiot makes millions off of dumb bros all over the world.

Hey, somebody had to take over for me. Because I'm, you know, dead.

by Anonymousreply 28February 16, 2024 11:30 PM

R27 Nobody is trying to "roll back" gay marriage. Literally no one. Nobody CARES. The institution of marriage is already dead and gays hardly ever even marry. Take your persecution complex back to 1980.

by Anonymousreply 29February 17, 2024 12:05 AM

LOL, most conservatives voted against codifying gay marriage in 2023. Not sure where the "1980" reference comes in

by Anonymousreply 30February 17, 2024 12:20 AM

R30, Log Cabin Republicans like R29 believe that hetero Republicans are their "friends".

by Anonymousreply 31February 17, 2024 12:27 AM

Yeah, R29 hasn't been paying attention.

"Oh, Roe is settled law... we'll never make abortion illegal... that so 1980s..."

Oh, that was the Supreme Court... not... oh, wait a minute.....

by Anonymousreply 32February 17, 2024 12:29 AM

R30, yeah, and your geriatric idol Biden would've voted the same a mere decade ago. Get off it.

by Anonymousreply 33February 17, 2024 12:36 AM

R33 All the uproar about Navalny's death must have addled your brain, friend. Biden was explicitly FOR gay marriage when he was VP, and actually was the influence that changed Obama's mind, to encourage him to take a public position in favor of gay marriage. Biden was one of the first national politicians who supported it.

Your trolling is getting sloppy, ineffective.

by Anonymousreply 34February 17, 2024 12:40 AM

Excuse me, r34, you're right. 2008 was not a decade ago.

by Anonymousreply 35February 17, 2024 12:47 AM

R34, people forget it was Biden who was caught in a hot mic moment saying to Obama "this is a big fucking deal" when Gay Marriage was signed into law.

by Anonymousreply 36February 17, 2024 1:00 AM

^ Actually I think Joe made the BFD comment when the ACA was passed. But Joe was the one that said "you love who you love", forcing the wimpy Obama Administration to come out in favor of gay marriage.

by Anonymousreply 37February 17, 2024 1:06 AM

I've listened to Weinstein discussions a few times. He seems to grab onto a flawed piece of misinformation and conflate it with intangible facts. He has some flaw in deduction that goes down rabbit holes to assorted conspiracy theories. And roid brained Rogan keeps providing him with the platform to spread his nonsense.

by Anonymousreply 38February 17, 2024 1:41 AM

I listened to the podcast.

The podcast did NOT promote AIDS denialism.

It did discuss various theories. Including those of Luc Montagnier...the man credited with discovering HIV.

Some of us aren't afraid of hearing opposing viewpoints.

by Anonymousreply 39February 17, 2024 1:41 AM

^ If by "opposing viewpoints" you mean "total bullshit"

by Anonymousreply 40February 17, 2024 1:44 AM

R40 Everyone should be free to come to their own conclusions.

BTW Luc Montagnier discovered HIV. Was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Now tell us about you.

by Anonymousreply 41February 17, 2024 1:52 AM

R39 isn't afraid of opposing viewpoints, he's more than willing to hear that the moon is made of swiss cheese, and that Trump is a decent and honorable man.

R39 is why this nation can't have nice things.

by Anonymousreply 42February 17, 2024 1:54 AM

Low IQ idiot at R42

by Anonymousreply 43February 17, 2024 1:55 AM

I'm all for discussions on theories on topics by intelligent people who can make well informed theories and back them up with facts and science. People should be exposed by crackpots whop pass themselves off as experts on topics that is not their area of expertise and question well-established scientific without some concrete facts to back them up. I see those as bullshit artists and/or conspiracy theorists. Weinstein has been doing this for a while now and Joe Rogan and Chris Williamson have been providing him with the platform to do it, without having a person experienced in the subject to offer counterpoints or provide evidentiary facts.

by Anonymousreply 44February 17, 2024 2:15 AM

Edit: People should NOT be exposed by crackpots who pass themselves off as experts on topics that is not their area of expertise....

by Anonymousreply 45February 17, 2024 2:16 AM

R37, my bad!

by Anonymousreply 47February 17, 2024 4:15 AM

R39, the Left has turned completely Fascist.

by Anonymousreply 48February 17, 2024 4:17 AM

AGC Webpages (& other gossip hounds) had Rogan being bisexual & going to seedy NYC clubs for kinky stuff. Someone must've had a video of him doing something at some point...

by Anonymousreply 49February 17, 2024 4:17 AM

r48, you right-wingers are the ones rallying around a fascist

Criticizing people for spreading bullshit is not "fascism"

by Anonymousreply 50February 17, 2024 4:23 AM

Imagine right-wingers on a gay website spewing bullshit and horrified when there’s blowback. They’re so stupid they can’t even read the room.

by Anonymousreply 51February 17, 2024 4:35 AM

The reason the right makes these outlandish claims is because the right is the real source of most conspiracies in America: the assassination of JFK, the creation of AIDS in a lab, the deliberate infection of gay people, the secret experiments of biological, chemical, and radiological weapons on the residents of Pruitt-Igoe which was dynamited to hide the evidence; electronic election fraud, you name it: they've done it themselves. It is hardly a surprise that they would invent ludicrous conspiracies by the left. It's the best way to coverup reality: make it seem ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 52February 17, 2024 6:25 AM

Joe Rogan is their new religion.

by Anonymousreply 53February 17, 2024 6:40 AM

I wish that fucking meathead would drop dead. The world would be a saner, safer place without Rogan.

by Anonymousreply 54February 17, 2024 8:06 AM

If he is the closeted bi leather gimp everyone here was saying he was years ago, then why doesn't someone ask Joe how he avoided catching AIDS?

by Anonymousreply 55February 17, 2024 8:45 AM

[...]

by Anonymousreply 56February 17, 2024 8:49 AM

As usual no one here actually listened to the show and is grabbing their torches and pitchforks because someone dared say something they didn’t like. Welcome to Marxism. The Left is hell-bent on destroying society.

by Anonymousreply 57February 17, 2024 9:25 AM

Are you Joe's personal gimp R57?

by Anonymousreply 58February 17, 2024 9:42 AM

Of course it’s a virus that causes AIDS. The world’s scientific community agrees on that.

But one could have an intelligent discussion , maybe not on DL, about the role of poppers and the tubs in the spread of HIV and AIDS.

If hiv had been introduced in 1954 into the US things would have turned out so much differently and over a much different time line. Far far less deaths. No popper use no national chains of baths. The baths and poppers certainly had a major impact on the spread of HIV.

After all the baths and the fist fuckers of the FFA were ground central for the outbreak in 1980s. And without poppers fisting would never had become the wide spread popular activity it was in 1980.

Either way people should be more worried about the next one not the last one

by Anonymousreply 61February 17, 2024 11:18 AM

R61 - that’s not the same as saying poppers cause AIDS, which is what the article alleges this crackpot is saying. Creating an environment that supports the faster or easier transmission of a disease is NOT the cause of the disease - it’s the cause of the faster spread. Huge difference.

by Anonymousreply 62February 17, 2024 11:30 AM

The world of digital platforms, always ready algorithms, screen pushing into our neural pathways... has condemned us to lose perspective, and deny anything that we "choose" to...

The earth is flat. There's evidence that the earth is only 4000 years old. Humans and dinosaurs lived at the same time. Vaccines kill people. HIV does not cause AIDS.

I mean everybody has the RIGHT to come to their own conclusions!! The Left is fascist.

No, hon, fascists are fascist. And that one simply believes things does not make them true. That's reason, not fasciscm.

by Anonymousreply 63February 17, 2024 2:34 PM

[quote]I mean everybody has the RIGHT to come to their own conclusions!!

Agreed.

by Anonymousreply 64February 17, 2024 4:34 PM

R64 Trying to hard...

I believe that Chrisitan values are holy, God-given, and need to be foundational to our laws and culture. Homosexuality should be illegal. There should be no abortion ever, under any circumstance. Birth control should be banned. These are my conclusions and I have a RIGHT to hold my truths.

Oddly, this insanity has grown out of the counter-cultural movements of the 60s and 70s. Who'd a thunk it???

by Anonymousreply 65February 17, 2024 4:48 PM

[quote]I believe that Chrisitan values are holy, God-given, and need to be foundational to our laws and culture. Homosexuality should be illegal. There should be no abortion ever, under any circumstance. Birth control should be banned. These are my conclusions and I have a RIGHT to hold my truths.

Yes. You do.

by Anonymousreply 66February 17, 2024 4:51 PM

R66 The straw man you are arguing with is getting soggy, Pookie.

The point is not that people have the RIGHT to believe whatever they want. The point is that simply having a belief does not put that belief equal to all others. Facts matter. Reason matters. Evidence matters. Our digital bubbles do not erase that truth.

by Anonymousreply 67February 17, 2024 4:55 PM

This is too high concept for the idiot at R67:

United Nations - Universal Declaration of Human Rights - Article 19

"Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

by Anonymousreply 68February 17, 2024 5:00 PM

More for our resident dolt who actually believes freedom of thought is "insanity" and that it was " grown out of the counter-cultural movements of the 60s and 70s." LOL.

Last comment of the posters whose brains have thickened: no one is saying anything about the right to think and believe whatever you want. The point, now listen, is that the simple fact of believing something does not mean 1) it is true, or 2) in should be valued and operationalized equal to any other belief.

Now, on with a lovely Saturday.

by Anonymousreply 70February 17, 2024 5:07 PM

R70 Love how you moved the goalposts!

[quote] The point, now listen, is that the simple fact of believing something does not mean 1) it is true, or 2) in should be valued and operationalized equal to any other belief.

Bozo, no one here has said such a thing.

by Anonymousreply 71February 17, 2024 5:10 PM

It is not Christian to believe homosexuality should be illegal. The Bible on balance is pro-gay. It is also anti-women and defends slavery, but its being antigay is just a fraud perpetrated on you because they know you will never read the thing cover to cover being the "true Christian" that you -- which is to say an ignoramus obsessed with social status and not true morality.

Never listen to his podcast. I only remember Joe Rogan from the old sitcom Community. I wonder if they based his character on that show on Joe himself. Joe's character on Community was a wacko who believed crazy conspiracy theories. Or maybe he's a cynic still playing that part.

by Anonymousreply 82February 19, 2024 9:49 PM

Wasn't that News Radio? He played the idiot beefcake.

by Anonymousreply 83February 19, 2024 10:15 PM

He had a great ass back in the day. He looks too roided out these days but I would have definitely fucked him in the early 2000s. However he really doesn't need a podcast. He should be seen and not heard.

by Anonymousreply 84February 19, 2024 11:00 PM

Most of his listeners like him because he's a Regular Joe type that they can relate to. They figure if he can talk shit and make conspiracy claims or question established norms and science, then they can too.
