Gavin Newsom most likely has Kamala Harris’s support for Joe Biden’s ouster

…and the reason is that he has offered her Attorney General.

They were both protégés of Willy Brown and she was DA the exact same time he was San Francisco Mayor. They are allies.

Harris would relish being Attorney General rather than a do-nothing Vice President. She would be an asset to a White House administration that is culturally on the same page as her. Bill Clinton’s West Wing was a product of Arkansas; Obama, of Chicago; and Newsom’s would be of San Francisco & Sacramento. She worked in both.

Should Newsom fail to get elected this fall, she would be able to run for California governor in two years.

Her surprisingly forceful defense of Biden yesterday convinced me of this. Biden has failed to use her adequately, and she has no use for a campaign in which her being in line for the Presidency should Biden die would be repeatedly used in character assassination. She has nothing to lose by supporting the ouster.

Such bullshit, surely the product of one of Trump's wet dreams.

by Anonymousreply 1February 13, 2024 11:32 PM

The anti-Biden trolls are out in force today.

by Anonymousreply 2February 13, 2024 11:34 PM

No, Biden’s continued candidacy is the product of Trump’s wet dreams.

The Biden Administration failed Kamala Harris. This was an old white men White House. She would be stupid not to support his ouster. She has everything to gain and nothing to lose.

by Anonymousreply 3February 13, 2024 11:36 PM

New flash, OP: no one who's been vice-president would sink to being a governor.

by Anonymousreply 4February 13, 2024 11:36 PM

So Newsom offered to demote her from VP to AG to Governor of CA? What a deal!

by Anonymousreply 5February 13, 2024 11:36 PM

OP dug that smelly doodie straight out of his toxic fetid rectum

by Anonymousreply 6February 13, 2024 11:36 PM

Right, R5? Oh, my SIDES!!!

by Anonymousreply 7February 13, 2024 11:37 PM

No r5. Newsom is offering her a political comeback from the purgatory she is in. Biden failed her.

by Anonymousreply 8February 13, 2024 11:38 PM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

by Anonymousreply 9February 13, 2024 11:39 PM

Biden owes her nothing, R8. A lot of people don't like her. It was a good gig for her, and she's lucky to have it.

by Anonymousreply 10February 13, 2024 11:40 PM

Kamala step aside for Gavin Newsom?

Fuck that CRACKER.

by Anonymousreply 11February 13, 2024 11:42 PM

And her work on the border file speaks for itself.

by Anonymousreply 12February 13, 2024 11:42 PM

You will notice there is zero source for this. The OP is just making things up

by Anonymousreply 13February 13, 2024 11:43 PM

Remember Biden also failed liberals by appointing old white male privilege defender Merrick Garland AG. Liberals and anti-Trumpists would love Kamala Harris as AG.

No, nothing at all, except maybe this ...

Mary R14, you're not selling it. Enough.

by Anonymousreply 18February 13, 2024 11:48 PM

[quote]Biden owes her nothing

CORRECTION: Biden owes her his Presidency. Her selection as running mate was one of the conditions of James Clybourne’s maneuvering to swing the South Carolina Democratic machine towards Biden.

by Anonymousreply 19February 13, 2024 11:49 PM

Just as retarted as all of your other posts, OP.

by Anonymousreply 20February 13, 2024 11:49 PM

If someone researches farther back in history than the timing of their latest TikTok, Instagram or photo-selfie post, they’ll realize that the American Vice Presidency has never been an exciting, highly visible or mover-and-shaker political role. It doesn’t change or become more entitling simply because Kamala is the first woman and person of color holding it—which, in and of themselves, are huge accomplishments to have obtained and be proud of.

by Anonymousreply 21February 13, 2024 11:49 PM

And it's a damn good gig for her, R19. And he does not owe her his presidency. They were useful to each other.

by Anonymousreply 22February 13, 2024 11:50 PM

[quote] her being in line for the Presidency should Biden die

Biden will almost certainly lose the election at this point r17. The mainstream liberal media has turned against him.

by Anonymousreply 23February 13, 2024 11:50 PM

R23 is trying to spread the anti-Biden aura here. Piss off.

by Anonymousreply 24February 13, 2024 11:52 PM

Fuck, this is a shitty thread, started by a moronic troll. Not wasting my time here anymore. Ta-ta. Even for DL, this troll thread is DUMB.

by Anonymousreply 25February 13, 2024 11:53 PM

[quote] they’ll realize that the American Vice Presidency has never been an exciting, highly visible or mover-and-shaker political role.

The Vice Presidency has always been training wheels for future Presidents. Harry Truman, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, Gerald Ford, George HW Bush, and Biden himself. VPs who became their party’s nominee but didn’t win include Hubert Humphrey, Walter Mondale and Al Gore.

Biden denied Harris the visibility to take leadership during his time in office. She has no use for a second round as VP, especially with Biden’s own supporters chattering that he will need to replace her in the general.

by Anonymousreply 26February 13, 2024 11:56 PM

We have already started seeing the drip drip drip of Democratic royalty turn against Biden’s reelection. The Clintons were the first shoe to drop. Who else is Democratic royalty? There are the Obamas, but they won’t say anything if they don’t have to. But there’s someone else.

Where is Nancy Pelosi from?

by Anonymousreply 49February 14, 2024 2:44 AM

Harris is not going to step down for Newsom to run. Get a clue.

However, I have followed Harris since her days in SF. She is at her very best when the issue is the law, the constitution, prosecution, judgements, defense, precedence and pressing for solutions through the courts. Guess what? I think she'd be a superior SCOTUS Justice. Maybe in some world, when Biden is re-elected and Justice Thomas is arrested for corruption and child-trafficking out of a pizza joint, she might step down from VP to be appointed to the Court.

by Anonymousreply 50February 14, 2024 2:52 AM

Right wing trolls trying to make Biden fear Newsom. Won't work.

by Anonymousreply 51February 14, 2024 3:55 AM

Kamala Harris would make an excellent Justice. Unfortunately, we may not see another Supreme Court opening for a decade. So, she can still serve Attorney General in a Newsom administration and should one of the present Justices drop dead during it, he can appoint her. Otherwise, she has no future in the Supreme Court beyond that. Anything beyond the next four years would be considered too old for her to be appointed.

Justice Thomas, 75.

Justice Alito, 73.

Justice Sotomayor, 69.

Chief Justice Roberts, 69.

Justice Kagan, 63.

Justice Kavanaugh, 58.

Justice Gorsuch, 56.

Justice Jackson, 53.

by Anonymousreply 52February 14, 2024 4:19 AM

[quote] You were and are being cited as baselessly pushing bullshit, in terms of data or evidence,

R42 NOW data and evidence matter? Poll after poll after poll shows Biden with record low approval ratings and in danger of losing to Trump in a squeaker or Haley in a landslide. Anytime anyone mentions that, they are branded as foreign trolls by people like you!

You hate Trump and MAGA because you are exactly like them!

by Anonymousreply 53February 14, 2024 4:24 AM

by Anonymousreply 63February 14, 2024 11:56 AM

R53 Joe is old, and the election is going to hinge on his addressing that issue to the satisfaction of the American voter. That being said, Biden's "disapproval" polls are always described from the right wing perspective: immigration! soft on the Trans! deficit! high taxes! socialist! Dig a little deeper in to the polls and there are also many from the left don't approve of all he's done (international militarist, supporting Israel's war crimes, not addressing student loans etc. etc.) That disapproval registers in the polls, but those left-of-center voters will likely vote for Joe because of the proto-fascism of the other guy.

by Anonymousreply 64February 14, 2024 2:16 PM

But look at your last sentence

[quote]That disapproval registers in the polls, but those left-of-center voters will likely vote for Joe because of the proto-fascism of the other guy.

That's what they are counting on you to think. But what if the other guy isn't Trump? What if the nominee is Haley? Those people will stay at home.

My parents have Fox News blazing at all hours of the day like everyone else of their generation, and they won't shut up about Biden's age, Biden's age, Biden's age. Why? Why would you keep pointing this out if your candidate has the same flaw?

Because this is PsyOps. They are planting the seed in their viewers' minds that age and lucidity are important issues for the election. They don't want Trump. They want Haley. This is how they get Haley.

by Anonymousreply 65February 14, 2024 2:46 PM

What are you going on about? If Haley is the nominee and Biden can't turn around the "he's so old" perception, she'll be elected. News Flash, unless Trump dies, Haley isn't getting anywhere near the nomination.

by Anonymousreply 66February 14, 2024 2:48 PM

Unless he drops out.

by Anonymousreply 67February 14, 2024 3:28 PM

[quote]and the election is going to hinge on his addressing that issue to the satisfaction of the American voter.

No, once Trump becomes the Republican Nominee, Biden becomes the alternative. Polls and approval ratings disappear.

Both are presidents running for a second term. Both are running on their records.

And the Senate will be in play after Trump is the nominee.

by Anonymousreply 68February 14, 2024 5:28 PM

Fox and MAGA are obsessed with Newsom, he's said a dozen time he's not running for president. Usually those guys give a vague answer, not him not now, not this time around. But I guess Newsom is MAGA catnip. They went apeshit crazy with excitement when someone got a recall on the California ballot, only to end up with egg on their face. The other social media sites I go to were barraged with anti-Newsom MAGAts 90% of which didnt live in California. They cant stand that CA has a handome, straight white progressive, gay friendly outgoing Gov who has kept the state 5th in the world with a growing economy.
