Kevin McCarthy thinks Matt Gaetz is going to prison
Gaetz took a jab at McCarthy, suggesting he take over for Ronna as head of the RNC. Prickly response. I assume he has information from the Ethics Committee...
[QUOTE]When asked what he thought about Gaetz's remarks, McCarthy showed there was still no love lost between the two by alluding to recent reports that Gaetz's former "wingman" Joel Greenberg is cooperating with the House Ethics Committee investigation of Gaetz for sexual misconduct with at least one underage girl:
[QUOTE]"I think people see how far Matt Gaetz will go and the fear he has of what's in the ethics complaint. He's trying to protect himself, and that harms our caucus, that harms our majority. In the end, people will see why Gaetz would want to do that. And I think in the end, Gaetz would have a hard time being a Member of Congress and with staying out of jail too."

I didn't know this. Greenberg is in jail for 11 years after cooperating with the Feds. He's willing to hand Gaetz over to the GOP ethics committee now. Does this mean he withheld information from the DoJ or that Garland decided not to go after him. What's the Ethics Committee able to offer Greenberg in return?

Why Merrick Garland hasn't been kicked out the door years ago is beyond comprehension.

Biden's getting pissed. Garland won't be in the next administration:
[QUOTE]While Biden himself has not weighed in on Garland’s future, most of the president’s senior advisers do not believe that the attorney general would remain in his post for a possible second term, according to the two people.
[QUOTE]“This has been building for a while,” said one of those people. “No one is happy” Frustration within the White House at Garland has been growing steadily.

Glad Garland will be kicked to the curb. He can go dither on his own time, where he's not imperiling Democracy to seem"fair" to people who would shove him in front of a bus for shits and giggles.

I said this on another thread but it didn't gain traction. Garland is Count Orlok.

Joe chose Garland as AG only because he lost out on being Obama's SCOTUS pick.

His deliberativeness and need to appear "fair" are qualities that would have served him better as a justice on the SCOTUS. As the manager of the DoJ , they make him look like a weak waffler.

It's too bad we can't get Kevin pissed at some other scumbags. If he can get investigations opened and/or re-opened, then he might be useful in putting away some truly loathsome individuals (since the DOJ doesn't seem to GAF).
I wonder how he feels about Roger Stone?

[QUOTE]I wonder how he feels about Roger Stone?
Roger Stone, during his time affiliated with mob lawyer Roy Cohn, wrote the fucking book about blackmail as an NYC mob affiliate who specialized in entrapping idiot public officials and police with their wandering dicks and wallet needs.
Yeah, Roger Stone has a LOT of material which enables him to keep breathing comfortably and opulent in his cozy Florida home.

Gaetz is never going to prison. His family is too connected. He’s untouchable, in more ways than *that* way.

Maybe Sunny Hostin can take Garland's place. She was a federal prosecutor for many years (as she reminds us time and time again). Often, she has said she's been disappointed with Garland and how long it has taken him to get things done - give her the job and let's see her do it better.

What was his 16 year old son doing while he was taking drugs with prostitutes, no Christian ever asks.
There are videos of Gaetz and Greenberg taking ID's from the garbage, after hours at the DMV. FFS.
Don Gaetz is the most powerful Repuke in Florida and probably Garland's frat brother or something.

Uh, oh Matty. Discovery sucks, eh? ______________
Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., was subpoenaed in a civil defamation lawsuit by the team representing a woman who he was accused of having sex with when she was a minor, ABC News reported Thursday—the latest development following a yearslong investigation into whether Gaetz paid women for sex.
KEY FACTS
Gaetz received the subpoena from attorneys representing a woman who was central to the Department of Justice’s investigation into Gaetz for allegations of sex trafficking and obstruction of justice, which ultimately did not lead to charges, ABC News reported.
The subpoena is part of a defamation and racketeering suit brought by Gaetz’s friend and former Florida state Rep. Chris Dorworth against the woman and Joel Greenberg, a former associate of Gaetz who was charged with sex trafficking of a minor.
John Clune, an attorney for the woman named in the case, confirmed to Forbes that Gaetz had been served the deposition by their team.
CRUCIAL QUOTE
“Congressman Gaetz received a witness subpoena in an ongoing lawsuit between outside parties. He is not being sued, and he is neither a plaintiff nor a defendant in this matter,” Joel Valdez, Gaetz’s communications director, said in a statement to Forbes. Gaetz’s team in the past has denied he ever paid for sex.
