JD Vance on Stephanopoulos This Week
George Stephanopoulos was having none of JD Vance this morning. George kept redirecting Vance on his evasive answers and finally started to paraphrase Vance's responses in the manner that Vance was trying to avoid expressing. George implied that Vance wants to be Trump's VP and would not have certified the 2020 election. He gave Vance opportunity to rant a whole bunch of pro-Trump bullshit but highlighted the more outrageous things Vance has said publicly, like that he (Vance) would advise Trump to immediately fire every government civil servant and replace them with "our people." In the end, George said "you've made it pretty clear that you believe Trump can defy the Supreme Court. Thank you and goodbye." Vance tried to protest but his mic was cut and George ignored him.
Years ago, as an author of "Hillbilly Elegy", this dude was trying to ride a wave of sympathy for poor whites saying they were unfairly overlooked, misunderstood and demonized. Prior to 2016 he was a self-professed "never Trumper" because he said Trump wanted to lead poor whites to a "dark place." Now he thinks Trump was a great president and is totally pro-Trump. Vance is just another racist, xenophobic, entitled piece of shit that has sought personal prosperity on the backs of poor white America. He is an Ivy-educated, corporate sellout who has traded his humanity for financial gain. He doesn't give a shit about poor people, of any race.

There is a real opportunity for political influencers to silence Vance. He is the epitome of using the social safety net to enable his success and once attained, yank that ladder up behind him. He's a hypocrite through and through.
If there's a DEI change that the Ivy League could make that would benefit society as a whole, it would be to stop giving poor white trash scholarships where they meet the elite and in an effort to become a member are willing to do anything to the people from whence they came.

ABC News is a legitimate news organization, it is not a media/entertainment channel like Faux News. Vance is a legitimately elected Senator, one of 100 in the United States. He is a member of the United States Congress and cannot be censored by a legitimate news organization.
ABC discredited him before he opened his mouth by showing him in full-throated opposition to Trump, documented in multiple video interviews for posterity. Stephanopoulos did what needed to be done.

George was very aggressive in pressing him and paraphrasing his responses. He knew his last words were incendiary and that Vance would object. As Vance is talking before his mic is cut, George very obviously ignores him. It was a purposeful "Bye, Felicia!" moment.
