I hope this spinoff is as good as the OG!

Is there something for Colton?

[quote]“Suits: LA” is officially happening at NBC

The primary conceit of Suits, that the younger guy was a genius who could have and should have been a lawyer, but wasn't, but was brought into the firm in an elaborate ruse, has been done. What possible new ground could they cover with the same premise.

If it's just lawyers in LA, they've done it - it was called LA Law.

Now, what WOULD be a new twist is if they used the same premise in a hospital or clinic and the guy was pretending to be a doctor.

It's not going to work without Harvey Specter. When I was in law school every white male classmate wanted to be him when they graduated.

[quote] The new iteration will follow Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. “His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives

This sounds a lot more generic than the original "Theres this pizza delivery man with a photographic memory lying his way into a law firm that only hires Harvard graduates".

R3 lmao. That post is more fictional than the shows premise

by Anonymousreply 5February 1, 2024 9:35 PM

Whatever, r5.

by Anonymousreply 6February 1, 2024 9:42 PM

S1 was fun, even if it required extraordinary suspension of disbelief.

S2 was even better.

S3 was hot garbage. I kept trying another episode and it just got worse.

It ended for me there.

I am watching the show now (I’m on season 3) and agree with r7. Season 3 is a huge step down from season 2, which was a huge step up from season 1.

Meghan looks so so pretty though.

I would go back into acting but being a lying ass thot is more lucrative.

by Anonymousreply 9February 2, 2024 11:26 PM

She is willing to go back into acting but is only willing to work with top directors and stars. None of them are calling her.

by Anonymousreply 10February 2, 2024 11:29 PM

I wanna watch this NOW

This will probably flop. The original show was ok, but not great.

by Anonymousreply 14February 13, 2024 7:49 PM

Sorry but it's going to flop

by Anonymousreply 15February 13, 2024 7:55 PM

Cancelled.
