I remember my first glimpse of Caspar in a Starship Troopers trailer. Took my breath away.

I went into watching “Troopers” not expecting much but thought it was a hilarious satire of fascism.

I was willing to look past the people leaving the diner to take shelter from a tornado in a tin shed. I was willing to overlook the car exploding for no reason. I tolerated the characters asking “is it gone?”when the roar of the tornado goes silent. (No, honey—it’s hiding.)

But it lost me at “It’s not even 3AM.”

According to IMDb the film was released with the title credit reading “CHRISTAMS TWISTER” which says all you need to know.

Why was Starship Trooper a flop? I thought it was a great satire. But it probably hit home too closely for those gun loving Americans.

He would've been great 15 years later in the early age of Marvel movie superheroes, but before Marvel went woke.

He seems very Jack Kirby superhero-ish in appearance, but I'm not sure who he would play. He might have made a good Hawkeye, I guess... ?
