Even if she wasn't a millionaire there's no way she couldn't cover the whole 10,000 without blinking an eye. Or even just the cost for her own son and I doubt that any of these kids on this team with her son are low income in any way. Why are these malcontents pretending she asked impoverished people to donate? Even kids from well-to-do families participate in fundraisers for their schools and extracurricular activities. I don't have problem with kids raising money for trips, but I do have a problem with pushy parents. The whole point of these things is to teach the kids to work for it themselves! Rich kids need to learn that even more.

I guess in her possible defense of an indefensible action, she’s was a working actress since she was a young child and probably never did extracurricular activities or even attended real school. Maybe she doesn’t know that parents are supposed to get their friends, coworkers, extended families to buy wrapping paper or tins of popcorn or cookies or whatever the kids are supposed to sell to raise money all the time.
