Valerie Bertinelli axed from Food Network show

All she seems to do is whine on social media, maybe they are tired of her?

Matthew Perry (what an ass) wrote in his book he made out with her while Eddie was passed out

"I fell madly in love with Valerie Bertinelli, who was clearly in a troubled marriage," Perry writes. "My crush was crushing; not only was she way out of my league, but she was also married to one of the most famous rock stars on the planet, Eddie Van Halen." Perry said his feelings were so intense that he fantasized about Bertinelli leaving Van Halen for him.

One night, while at Bertinelli and Van Halen's home, Perry said he went for it with his costar. "As the night progressed, it was clear that Eddie had enjoyed the fruits of the vine a little too hard, one more time, and eventually he just passed out, not ten feet away from us, but still," he writes. "This was my chance! If you think I didn't actually have a chance in hell you'd be wrong, dear reader — Valerie and I had a long, elaborate makeout session."

By the next day, Bertinelli "made no mention" of what transpired and behaved "like this was just a normal day," Perry writes. "I quickly got the hint and also played the role I was supposed to, but inside I was devastated." He endured "tearful" nights as a result. Relief came when the show was ultimately canceled, "and I didn't have to see Valerie anymore," Perry recounts.

Her grieving over her ex husbands death was a bit over the top.

by Anonymousreply 2January 22, 2024 2:12 PM

She will be grieving over her son next if he doesn't lose some weight

by Anonymousreply 3January 22, 2024 2:21 PM

I don't remember her grieving over me!

by Anonymousreply 4January 22, 2024 2:28 PM

As soon as she started grieving over EVH I knew she would get a divorce. No husband is going to tolerate that for too long.

She's always crying over something. Her weight struggles, her divorce, her therapy, and now getting laid off from her job. Jesus Fucking Christ woman, pull yourself together! MacKenzie Phillips fucked her dad for years and you don't see her crying on Instagram!

by Anonymousreply 5January 22, 2024 2:48 PM

Team Valerie!

by Anonymousreply 6January 22, 2024 2:49 PM

You just know that she will be replaced with a " woman of color."

by Anonymousreply 7January 22, 2024 3:00 PM

I’m somehow in possession of a Valerie Bertinelli sauce pan of which I’m actually quite fond.

by Anonymousreply 8January 22, 2024 4:13 PM

She was fired from ‘Kids Baking Championship’. Her and Duff as judges were the only reason to watch those brats.

by Anonymousreply 9January 22, 2024 6:54 PM

12 seasons and she's hurt?? That's a lot longer than ODAAT ran.

by Anonymousreply 10January 22, 2024 7:21 PM

you know you bought it at ollie's, r8.

by Anonymousreply 11January 22, 2024 7:30 PM

[quote]12 seasons and she's hurt?? That's a lot longer than ODAAT ran.

She's hurt because they didn't tell her and the rumors were she wanted more money when there was never a discussion about it.

by Anonymousreply 12January 22, 2024 9:59 PM

She's a goodin'. I hope somebody gives her another gig.

by Anonymousreply 13January 22, 2024 10:01 PM

Bitch ate all my cookie dough! I'm glad she was axed.

by Anonymousreply 14January 22, 2024 10:20 PM

Team Val

by Anonymousreply 15January 22, 2024 10:20 PM

Food Network to Valerie Bertinelli: "This Is It!"

by Anonymousreply 16January 22, 2024 10:23 PM

She'll definitely get another book out of this.

by Anonymousreply 17January 22, 2024 10:24 PM

OP- Axed?

Are U racist ?

🙃

by Anonymousreply 18January 22, 2024 10:25 PM

I wonder who they’ll replace her with. I usually watch all the baking championships, and it seems like Carla Hall is taking a bigger role in them. But I think Bertinelli fit the kids one pretty well.

by Anonymousreply 19January 22, 2024 10:26 PM

[quote] Matthew Perry (what an ass) wrote in his book he made out with her while Eddie was passed out

FASCINATING

by Anonymousreply 20January 22, 2024 10:27 PM

I liked her on this show. She’s really good. Her and Duff have great chemistry.

Too bad, I won’t watch it now.

by Anonymousreply 21January 22, 2024 10:30 PM

She wasn’t the reason to watch!

by Anonymousreply 22January 22, 2024 10:30 PM

They can finally pay Guy Fierri's salary without bouncing checks. Not sure if Darnell Ferguson's and VB's salaries really amount to much, though.

by Anonymousreply 23January 22, 2024 10:31 PM

I'd rather watch her than Guy F. at this point. Maybe she'll get a talk show. OR, PODCAST, Valerie, honey! Get that money.

by Anonymousreply 24January 22, 2024 10:33 PM

1. I agree. She was so OTT when Eddie died. I’d have been disgusted if I were her husband and Ed’s new wife.

2. I don’t know why she spends so much time and energy on social media. I thought she had a core group of long time girlfriends?

3. She’s become tiresome and whiney.

4. She was a fake all those years with Eddie. Every single photo of them she’s got this big happy smile like they really were the dream couple. They both said one of the reasons they stayed married all those years was to “show” all the naysayers. I do think living with an alcoholic music savant who didn’t care or know about much else must have been boring.

5. Whatever happened to the movie she was making with the other sad fattie Selena Gomez?

6. She needs to start something like a kids theatre group, do something for others and get out of herself.

7. Fake about the learning to love herself as she is. In between writing a book about it she’s crying on SM about her weight.

8. I grew up with her on ODAAT and envied her. I like myself much better than she does herself now. Women over 50 who obsess about their weight and youth are all tiresome.

by Anonymousreply 25January 22, 2024 10:37 PM

9. I bet her next big thing will be a health crisis that she can go on and on about.

by Anonymousreply 26January 22, 2024 10:40 PM

10. Probably fibromyalgia

by Anonymousreply 27January 22, 2024 10:43 PM

I bet her next big thing will be Ozempic.

by Anonymousreply 28January 22, 2024 10:44 PM

Who's the audience for this thing?

by Anonymousreply 29January 22, 2024 10:45 PM

10. Breast cancer

by Anonymousreply 30January 22, 2024 11:17 PM

11. Eddie Van Halen's birthday is coming up soon, January 26th. Get ready.

by Anonymousreply 31January 23, 2024 12:34 AM

She seems quite needy. It’s a lot.

I mean, every day many low-income single working mothers lose their jobs. This woman is incredibly privileged yet holds tight to her victimhood.

by Anonymousreply 32January 23, 2024 12:43 AM

I happen to think The Food Network was a step down for her.

by Anonymousreply 33January 23, 2024 1:03 AM

Bertinelli is cooked.

by Anonymousreply 34January 23, 2024 1:18 AM

[quote]I mean, every day many low-income single working mothers lose their jobs. This woman is incredibly privileged yet holds tight to her victimhood.

And do their bosses actually tell them they lost their job?

by Anonymousreply 35January 23, 2024 9:26 AM

Variety has a piece on this. It’s shouldn’t be a mystery to Val.

She had a larger deal with FN that they opted to not renew when it expired in 2022 (which is when the most recent season of this show was taped).

She remained in denial and thought they’d reach out to her about continuing on this one show.

So this really isn’t like she’s been going in every day and suddenly discovered she was fired. She hasn’t worked there in a while.

by Anonymousreply 36January 24, 2024 9:46 AM

Don’t you worry none, she’ll just take it like it comes.

by Anonymousreply 37January 24, 2024 10:38 AM

Up on your feet R37

by Anonymousreply 38January 24, 2024 11:41 PM

Hold me, Eddie.

by Anonymousreply 39January 25, 2024 12:09 AM

12. Mother and Son Ozempic Challenge “Our Journey”

by Anonymousreply 40January 25, 2024 12:28 AM

Couldn’t have happened to a nastier person. All the “team Valerie” nonsense are her fan fraus.

by Anonymousreply 41January 25, 2024 12:49 AM

Valerie and Betty White were not the sweethearts a lot of people thought they were

by Anonymousreply 42January 25, 2024 12:53 AM

[quote]Valerie and Betty White were not the sweethearts a lot of people thought they were

Neither are you, what's your point?

by Anonymousreply 43January 26, 2024 9:14 AM

A trio of Food Network fatties.

R6 R8 R15 R43 = Valerie's publicist

by Anonymousreply 45January 26, 2024 12:06 PM

This is reminding me of the hilarious clip from Paula Abdul's reality tv show where she found out that she was fired from the Bratz movie. Her workers (or whoever they are) are staring at her puzzled as she hysterically cries and then she yells out "SHUT UP YOU GUYS, I'M TRYING TO TELL YOU A GOD DAMN STORY!". And then she stumbles into her bedroom and closes the door.

by Anonymousreply 46January 26, 2024 1:01 PM

Ina Garten is set to replace Val on that show. The Barefoot Contessa show has run its course, and Ina's love of kids will be a a boon for the network.

by Anonymousreply 47January 26, 2024 1:18 PM

Ina’s “love of kids”? I beg to differ. From beyond.

I’m not at all acquainted with Val’s social media presence. While I believe the stories here, as a fan of the kids baking show (it’s just fun to watch — it’s so well produced and the kids are impossibly supportive of one another … except Reggie. Oh, and the fat autistic kid who was endearing but was there to WIN and woe to those who try to stop him), her personality and energy will be greatly missed. I actually hate that this has happened.

by Anonymousreply 49January 26, 2024 1:40 PM

She should start a YouTube cooking channel. She'd do very well and have her own schedule.

by Anonymousreply 50January 26, 2024 7:57 PM

Will nobody think about the kid's cupcakes?

by Anonymousreply 51January 26, 2024 8:32 PM

Her actual cooking show was a dud. That Tiffany Amber Whoever had a better show a few years back.

by Anonymousreply 52January 26, 2024 9:33 PM

WTF she has muffin top on her nose!

by Anonymousreply 53January 26, 2024 9:39 PM

Valerie had a pleasing personality on her show, but her food seemed very game day Sunday stuff. Lots of chili, fries. starches.

by Anonymousreply 54January 26, 2024 11:03 PM

[quote]Her actual cooking show was a dud. That Tiffany Amber Whoever had a better show a few years back.

To you. "Valerie's Home Cooking" ran 12 seasons and 156 episodes. "Dinner At Tiffani's ran three seasons and 39 episodes. You have a warped definition of dud.

by Anonymousreply 55January 27, 2024 11:24 AM

Warped? On DL?!?!?!
