When I first watched this movie, I was ashamed for finding a retard attractive. It was my secret shame. Not that I liked boys…but that I liked boys who still wore diapers into their teen age years and couldn’t write their name.

It's a really good performance. Leo is fascinating to watch because he's young and attractive and has screen presence. Plus you're really scrutinizing his acting to see if he strikes a false note.

I lived in Boston’s Soutn End in the early 90’s before gentrification when it was dangerous and had been mugged several times. One night just before Halloween, boyfriend and I were walking down Washington, roaring drunk coming back from Chaps. He had stolen a pumpkin off a stoop.
A roving band of thieves started towards us and in a fit of either genius or stupidity, I grabbed the giant pumpkin from him, and went full tard.
Skipping a little jig, I started gleefully saying, “I HAVE A PUMKIN!” over and over.
Didn’t get mugged, they went right by us, boyfriend almost pissed himself laughing afterwards.

He was incredible in that. In fact, it's the only time I've really loved a Leo performance.

So... in the end, was she faking her death just to mess with him?
