Beautiful body, giant head, face is all scrunched up in only a tiny area of his head, but still handsome

I wish some of those modeling shots of him in briefs, jockstraps, etc., were of higher resolution.

I can’t believe ANOTHER actor from a soap has died. I’d just read this on TMZ before I came here. And Bill Hayes’ death was announced today as well.
Musser posted on Instagram just 4 days ago.

"The actor's fiancée, Paige Press, tells us Musser passed away Friday night at his home in Del Mar, CA. His uncle, Robert, confirmed his nephew's death to us as well ... but neither he nor Press would elaborate on the circumstances or exact cause".
If they won't elaborate then it's not good.

He was in that Sandler film (Grownups?) where he looks great from a distance and then when he talks to the ladies sounds like an idiot.

by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 14, 2024 12:39 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 14, 2024 12:39 PM |
It was either an accidental overdose or suicide if they don’t wanna say.

He looked like chris hemsworth.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 14, 2024 12:58 PM |
If it was unexpected it was either OD or suicide. It is super rare for a fit and healthy 50 year old to die from heart attack or stroke.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 14, 2024 1:08 PM |
Especially if his fiancé is hesitant to give a reason.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 14, 2024 1:09 PM |
R32 it isn’t rare if he was on the wrong type of supplements like roids and working out too much can very much lead to heart attacks or brain aneurysms. People need to be careful.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 14, 2024 1:13 PM |
r34 True but I doubt the relatives would be so reluctant to just say it was a heart attack.

But why? He had a decent career & apparently participated in lots of sports and had what appeared to be a full life.

R 44 nailed it. Haven’t you guys figured it out yet ????? It’s always the picture perfect person or couple who surprises everyone with the overdose suicide or the ever popular murder suicide .
I used to , a long time ago, when I was a child , feel jealousy towards those with fame money and star power . I grew up watching the donna reed show, fathers knows best, partridge family , family affair …. We know how that all worked out
I’m not famous will never be rich but I don’t give a flying fuck and neither should anyone with one quarter a brain
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 14, 2024 6:16 PM |
To anyone who thinks being buff, handsome and desired will chase away your demons:
“So on we worked, and waited for the light, And went without the meat, and cursed the bread; And Richard Cory, one calm summer night, Went home and put a bullet through his head.”
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 14, 2024 7:15 PM |
Sometimes being handsome and attractive only adds to people’s demons, especially men. I always say being beautiful opens doors for people the rest of us never have access to but also opens problems for them the rest of us will never experience or understand
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 14, 2024 7:18 PM |
What you’re saying is very true. Ironically, Musser assumed the AMC role of Del Henry from Winsor Harmon. Harmon was even more gorgeous as well as a successful model himself. Yet, Harmon has struggled with alcoholism publicly.

by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 14, 2024 10:09 PM |
Some curious facts here:
1. Is there a statute of limitations on how long you can define your career as "actor" after having literally zero acting gigs? Alec's last appearance was as a one-ep guest star on "Desperate Housewives" in 2011.
2. He had the role of Del Henry for all of 43 episodes, as AMC careened towards its final days.
3. He appears to never work, but hopscotches around the world surfing, skiing, and racing motorcycles in locales as varied as Indonesia & Hawai'i.
4. He lives in Del Mar. For those unfamiliar with the vicinity, it's just north of La Jolla in the San Diego area, and is priced roughly on par with Santa Monica and Venice Beach. ZERO chance an unemployed actor could pay for a pad there as well as globetrotting with nothing but the occasional modeling gig. (He also has way too few IG followers to be an "influencer.")
So: I'm assuming he's either a trust-fund brat or has an *extremely* generous sugar daddy. Also interesting – or telling – that he didn't get a fiance until recent years, and there's no indication of him being divorced.

He appeared on many more than 43 episodes of AMC. IMBD is notoriously inaccurate (i.e. underreporting) when it comes to tracking soap opera episodes actors appear in.

When I was in my twenties I volunteered at an arts organization and one of the other participants was the most beautiful, kind man you could imagine. Stunning good looks. Loved by everyone.
A few weeks into our project, he hung himself. It sounds vapid/shallow to say but I couldn't understand at the time why someone so beautiful would do that.
Reading about this guy triggers the same response. Seems like he had a lot to live for - sad he felt like that was the only way out.

R73 That's because it didn't.
I think the COVID thing was a cover story to try and hide the real cause of his death.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | January 16, 2024 9:18 PM |
If he had neuropsychiatric complications of COVID, it could've been a contributing factor. But the fiancee could also be grasping at straws due to shock and grief.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | January 16, 2024 9:21 PM |
R75 I'm gonna go with the "grasping at straws" explanation.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | January 16, 2024 9:28 PM |

[quote]It was a big fat problem for me.
Shales may have had Covid, but he died due to renal failure. No, they're not necessarily connected, particularly with the Omicron variant and its endless subvariants: one of my aunts is Shales's age and over 300 pounds – at 4'11" – and she's been in an assisted living facility for over two years now after a nearly fatal car crash. Even before the crash – and as one of those types who avoids the doctor because she hates bad news – we knew one of her kidneys had failed.
I had a bit of a freakout when my mom went to visit her for the first time at the facility: it turned out my aunt not only had Covid, but also gave it to my mom unknowingly! My mom's in mostly good health, but neither of them suffered any serious Covid symptoms – plus my aunt's caught it two other times since then, now that no one's masking anymore. Anyway, she has to have dialysis 3x/week, but she's basically been Teflon in terms of Covid – but we all know her remaining kidney will go at some point.
But she will have died from kidney failure, not Covid. (And despite my aunt being a white woman living in one of Dallas's most conservative areas, she's extremely bright, took Covid seriously from day one, and can't decide if she despises Trump or Texas's Axis of Evil – Abbott, Paxton & Patrick – more.

[quote]I'm not seeing how COVID contributed to this.
ConcernedEuropean, might I suggest READING THE FUCKING THREAD before posting? No, Covid had nothing to do with it. The subject came up, however, because the Anti-Vaxxer Conspiracy Theory Machine was engaged and spooning out absurd hypotheses about how Covid, and ONLY Covid, could've ended this fine man's life. Since he's hot & white, the leftists of course wanted him murdered via virus.
While the facts plainly suggest otherwise, the QAnon 'frauen never let *those* silly little things get in the way of their wackadoodle theories! The one person mentioned here who actually died in part from Covid was Tom Shales, formerly the chief TV critic at the Washington Post (and at the time possibly the best-known TV-specific critic of all) whose obits have largely omitted the fact that after accepting a WaPo buyout – as its highest-paid non-editor, he made $400K/year when he accepted a buyout that was undoubtedly in the seven-figure range, and this was nearly 20 years ago now) – he "got bored" and became a TV reviewer for Faux News.
Suffice it to say his critical slant took a sharp turn rightward. (Presumably why this part of his life was glossed over, and to be fair, he was at the Post longer than I've been alive!

I still remember him from the reality show "I Wanna Be A Soap Star" (which was very good as far as reality TV shows). He was on Season 2 and really stood out - his charm , his skills and his incredible looks and body. It was exciting to hear he had landed a role on the soap. Every now and then I would catch his name on a site and see that he was still doing pretty well (though the acting jobs seemed to dry up). I was happy for him. It's so sad to read this news the past week.

Thank you for that considered advice, hall monitor R88. I actually mentioned the COVID angle not because of any of the comments here, but because his fiancee suggested it to the press in the early reports.

The stigma attached to mental health issues kills everyone . When a loved one is depressed a long time and tells family members not to worry , at a point , you have to get that person to a hospital , involuntarily if they don’t agree.
Someone with everything to live for , supposedly, will not kill themselves UNLESS they are seriously mentally ill. Family members and friends need to step up
