i think when dealing with an unfortunate like this the question isn't *WHY* but *WHAT* we can say to be more charitably condolent of their sacred personhood, and whenever possible to gently guide uplifting and complementary commentary towards anything they can do well and normally, like walking in a straight line or reading street signs.
