Why in Fuck's Sake would Bradley Cooper go to his high school reunion?

In a very “Romy and Michele” move, Bradley Cooper made it his business to show up to his high school reunion.

In fact, Cooper told Jimmy Fallon during Tuesday’s episode of “The Tonight Show” that he not only attended his 30-year high school reunion last month, but that he also previously attended his 20 and 25-year reunions as well.

“It was great!” he told Fallon of his experience at his 30-year reunion, which took place in Philadelphia at the Chestnut Hill Brewing Company according to their Facebook page, where Cooper is seen in a photo posing with a former classmate.

Cooper added that he arrived early to the event, and even lent a helping hand.

“I put the sign out front, it said ‘Germantown Academy,’ and then people came and I welcomed them,” he said.

Ever so humbly, he noted that he even put his name tag on – despite there being a minor discrepancy.

“When I was in high school I used to go by Brad and now I go by Bradley, and I felt like some weird imposter,” he said of writing “Bradley” on his name tag. “But that is my real name, Bradley.”

It feels safe to assume that Cooper’s former classmates would have recognized him, regardless of which version of his name he wrote on his name tag, but we appreciate the fact that he wore one at all.

The “Maestro” director/actor said that he didn’t encounter anyone “freaking out” over his celebrity status, and said the vibe was “awesome, it was just regular.”

“I think it’s just time had passed and it was just cool,” he said.

He's so fucking bizarre.

I guess this is his attempt to seem "humble" and like a "normal guy."

But it just makes him seem weird.

by Anonymousreply 1December 21, 2023 4:06 PM

Narcissist.

by Anonymousreply 2December 21, 2023 4:10 PM

"Casually" showing up to his high school reunion as an A-list movie star--not too performative and humble bragging a gesture. Asshole.

by Anonymousreply 3December 21, 2023 4:11 PM

Why shouldn’t he go?

by Anonymousreply 4December 21, 2023 4:11 PM

Why would he want to, if not for the attention?

by Anonymousreply 5December 21, 2023 4:13 PM

He did his classmates a favor by giving them something to talk about.

The worst are people who bring spouses and you get caught making nice with boring interlopers.

by Anonymousreply 6December 21, 2023 4:15 PM

[quote] Why would he want to, if not for the attention?

1) To show that he's the most famous person in his class, 30 years later

2) To have people fawn all over him

3) So he could tell this dumb story on a late-night talk show.

It's total narcissism.

by Anonymousreply 7December 21, 2023 4:16 PM

Maybe he likes to see old friends.

by Anonymousreply 8December 21, 2023 4:16 PM

R8 You can do that without going to a reunion?

by Anonymousreply 9December 21, 2023 4:19 PM

[quote] He did his classmates a favor by giving them something to talk about.

Oh yes, R6, he gave the hoi polloi something to live for--forever being able to talk about his presence at a fucking high school reunion. Did he bring Gaga as his date?

by Anonymousreply 10December 21, 2023 4:19 PM

Needy for attention.

by Anonymousreply 11December 21, 2023 4:20 PM

He really is on the Chestnut Hill Brewing Company Facebook page... lol.

by Anonymousreply 12December 21, 2023 4:20 PM

It's apparently a fairly prestigious prep school. I'm sure there are notables of one sort or another in every class. Maybe he liked it there.

by Anonymousreply 13December 21, 2023 4:22 PM

Apparently, R11, he doesn't get enough of that as a grossly overpaid movie star.

by Anonymousreply 14December 21, 2023 4:22 PM

Chestnut Hill is nice...but what a loser thing to do.

by Anonymousreply 15December 21, 2023 4:23 PM

Who goes repeatedly to their high school reunions--especially when you're Bradley Cooper, who could do a million other things--unless you wanted them to salivate over your presence every time?

Ass. Hole.

by Anonymousreply 16December 21, 2023 4:26 PM

Did Bradley take his boyfriend to the reunion?

by Anonymousreply 17December 21, 2023 4:26 PM

"Why would Hollywood's most flagrantly attention-seeking movie star seek attention, asks local idiot"

by Anonymousreply 18December 21, 2023 4:27 PM

Well now he would be the star of the show now wouldn't be?

by Anonymousreply 19December 21, 2023 4:28 PM

Me! Me! ME!

by Anonymousreply 20December 21, 2023 4:29 PM

His need for attention is becoming quite sociopathic.

by Anonymousreply 21December 21, 2023 4:29 PM

Amazing that it's never enough for some--money, movies, awards...

by Anonymousreply 22December 21, 2023 4:31 PM

R20 that reminded me of this family guy joke

Bradley Cooper is the male version of this

Even on DL, sometimes you can accept things at face value.

Maybe he just liked high school - not everyone had a miserable experience and relive the trauma daily.

by Anonymousreply 24December 21, 2023 4:33 PM

He is the thirstiest of all major stars. He does nothing to hide it.

by Anonymousreply 25December 21, 2023 4:33 PM

The point of going to a reunion is to see old friends whom you would otherwise never see.

by Anonymousreply 26December 21, 2023 4:35 PM

[quote]Maybe he just liked high school - not everyone had a miserable experience and relive the trauma daily.

Unlike many DLers.

by Anonymousreply 27December 21, 2023 4:38 PM

I'm not a fan of Bradley Cooper, but why wouldn't he go to his high school reunion? He's probably kept in touch with some people over the years.

by Anonymousreply 28December 21, 2023 4:39 PM

How many arguments arguing against your premise do you need on one thread, R28?

by Anonymousreply 29December 21, 2023 4:40 PM

[quote]Why would he want to, if not for the attention?

Why does anyone attend a high school reunion? Maybe he liked some of his classmates and wanted to see them again.

Really, what the fuck is wrong with some of you people?

by Anonymousreply 30December 21, 2023 4:41 PM

Also, R28, that's been answered that he doesn't need to go to a high school reunion to stay in touch with a few friends. Are you suggesting everyone in his class is someone he really wants to keep in touch with?

by Anonymousreply 31December 21, 2023 4:41 PM

Yeah big deal. Good for him.

by Anonymousreply 32December 21, 2023 4:43 PM

OP, just because you were a loser in HS no one would miss at a reunion doesn't mean this is true for everyone else.

by Anonymousreply 33December 21, 2023 4:43 PM

R30=Bradley Cooper, narcissist.

by Anonymousreply 34December 21, 2023 4:43 PM

I remember seeing photos of jack nicholson at a high school reunion maybe a 50th. Not much publicity but apparently stayed close to a number of people from his class.

by Anonymousreply 35December 21, 2023 4:44 PM

Some of you *really* need to get a life.

by Anonymousreply 36December 21, 2023 4:45 PM

R35, did Nicholson advertise it on national tv?

by Anonymousreply 37December 21, 2023 4:46 PM

[quote] How many arguments arguing against your premise do you need on one thread, [R28]?

How about one that makes sense?

All I see are assumptions about his motives and claims that he should have better things to do, which say more about the person posting than about Cooper.

by Anonymousreply 38December 21, 2023 4:46 PM

OP is a retard.

by Anonymousreply 39December 21, 2023 4:46 PM

OP never completed high school.

by Anonymousreply 40December 21, 2023 4:47 PM

R38 is deficient in reading skills.

by Anonymousreply 41December 21, 2023 4:47 PM

Suddenly, the idiot Bradley Cooper stans are upon us!

by Anonymousreply 42December 21, 2023 4:48 PM

OP is a serial thread starter. Well, OP...you try.

by Anonymousreply 43December 21, 2023 4:49 PM

I’m not even a Bradley Cooper fan. But I don’t see anything wrong with his going to his own class reunion.

by Anonymousreply 44December 21, 2023 4:50 PM

There *isn't* anything wrong with it, r44. OP is just desperate for attention.

by Anonymousreply 45December 21, 2023 4:52 PM

Because he's a douchebag and a malignant narcissist. Look how he describes his "donation" to the reunion. He wants to be seen and applauded, even by people he barely fucking knows.

It's the same reason Oprah built that crooked school in Africa and filmed a documentary series about it. Not about the school, but about Saint Oprah's tireless efforts to lift foreigners out of poverty.

by Anonymousreply 46December 21, 2023 4:52 PM

[quote] OP is a serial thread starter.

God forbid people start threads on DL, R43!

by Anonymousreply 47December 21, 2023 4:53 PM

Some of you are so bitter.

by Anonymousreply 48December 21, 2023 4:56 PM

See, no matter how many accolades or privileges a celeb has, there's always a hunger for more. The narcissism is a disease, infecting their bodies and minds (I'm omitting 'souls' from this).

by Anonymousreply 49December 21, 2023 4:56 PM

You aren't fooling anybody, r47. See r36.

by Anonymousreply 50December 21, 2023 4:56 PM

Coming to threads like this, and taking the time to tell the rest of us to get a life, really negates any superiority you might think you have.

If DL-ers have no life, then what's your excuse for being here, Cunt of the Month? You think YOU have a life?

by Anonymousreply 51December 21, 2023 4:58 PM

Not fooling whom about what, R50?

by Anonymousreply 52December 21, 2023 5:00 PM

Setting aside whether Cooper is a thirsty, attention seeking narcissist, the perspective of some of you people regarding high school reunions is bizarre.

Of course, you can keep in touch with people from high school. Of course, no one was friends with everyone.

But, there are dozens of people with whom I went to high school, even some as far back as elementary school who all went to the same junior high and high school, who I wouldn't necessarily have kept in touch with, but remind me of my childhood and are part of those memories. I don't want to spend 8 hours catching up, but meeting and catching up is still a pleasant experience down memory lane.

I didn't particularly like high school, nor did I come close to peaking then, but I still enjoyed it enough to go to a few reunions every couple decades. Geesh.

by Anonymousreply 53December 21, 2023 5:06 PM

Perhaps the problem is not that he went to his reunion, but that he talked about it to the press?

by Anonymousreply 54December 21, 2023 5:07 PM

Serious case of "crazy eyes".

by Anonymousreply 55December 21, 2023 5:08 PM

But, R54, what's the point of doing it if you can't dine out on it on TV later? It wasn't like we all saw him there!

by Anonymousreply 56December 21, 2023 5:08 PM

For those of you who don't understand what the core issue is here, please see R16.

He/She nailed it.

by Anonymousreply 57December 21, 2023 5:09 PM

[quote]Serious case of "crazy eyes".

Yeah, even back when I first saw him on Alias, I thought he was hot, but had crazy eyes.

by Anonymousreply 58December 21, 2023 5:10 PM

Thanks--and you're welcome, R57!

by Anonymousreply 59December 21, 2023 5:12 PM

Please help me understand your argument. Who should not go to their class reunions—famous people generally or just actors? Or it is successful people? Or rich people?

by Anonymousreply 60December 21, 2023 5:19 PM

Attractive people?

by Anonymousreply 61December 21, 2023 5:20 PM

[quote] Please help me understand your argument. Who should not go to their class reunions—famous people generally or just actors? Or it is successful people? Or rich people?

No one, R60, because it's kind of pathetic. Granted, that's an opinion. But if you really can't comprehend why it looks performative for Cooper to go to ALL his high school reunions and then talk about it later on tv, you're too simple to be helped.

Janis Joplin said, when she was on Dick Cavett, that she was going to hers, by saying: "They laughed me out of class, out of town, and out of state--so now I'm going home." For her, it was a fuck-you to the bullies who made her life hell. THAT is a good reason to go, and that is NOT the case with Miss Cooper.

by Anonymousreply 62December 21, 2023 5:29 PM

Maybe hoping to finally hook up with that football player he lusted after?

by Anonymousreply 63December 21, 2023 5:30 PM

[quote]Also, [R28], that's been answered that he doesn't need to go to a high school reunion to stay in touch with a few friends. Are you suggesting everyone in his class is someone he really wants to keep in touch with?

He went for the reason people go to a reunion, to see their former classmates. I keep in touch through social media but it's nice to have a nice reunion party and see everybody in person.

by Anonymousreply 64December 21, 2023 5:42 PM

He did it purely for attention, and you fucking know it!

by Anonymousreply 67December 21, 2023 5:44 PM

He's going to a high school reunion to have some fun and see his former classmates. Trust me, the people you went to school with always see you as the kid they knew and grew up with.

I can't believe how out of touch with reality some of you are. Bitter, miserable fucking assholes.

I'm sorry that you all had shit childhoods and were traumatized in high school decades ago, but most people move on from that and don't relive it every single day years and years later.

by Anonymousreply 69December 21, 2023 5:47 PM

[quote]Also, [R28], that's been answered that he doesn't need to go to a high school reunion to stay in touch with a few friends. Are you suggesting everyone in his class is someone he really wants to keep in touch with?

No, Mr. Straw Man, I wasn't suggesting that at all. And if you can't see the stupidity of your argument, I'm sure I won't be able to explain it to you.

by Anonymousreply 70December 21, 2023 5:49 PM

[quote]He did it purely for attention, and you fucking know it!

Sure, Jan r67 OP...

by Anonymousreply 71December 21, 2023 5:49 PM

R69, most people wouldn't go to every high school reunion. I'm sorry that you're a fool apologist for this narcissistic movie star, but don't assume we all relive high school traumas on a daily basis (presume much?) because you're too much of a dimwit not to see an obvious act of self-serving, self-inflated movie-starism.

by Anonymousreply 72December 21, 2023 5:51 PM

[quote]you're too much of a dimwit not to see an obvious act of self-serving, self-inflated movie-starism.

Well, that's your take on it. As asinine as it is.

by Anonymousreply 73December 21, 2023 5:53 PM

Not as asinine, R73, as defending a movie star who repeatedly goes to his fucking high school reunions and talks about them on tv.

by Anonymousreply 74December 21, 2023 5:55 PM

[quote]Most people wouldn't go to every high school reunion.

Just because YOU wouldn't do that doesn't mean it's true that "most people" wouldn't. Everyone else in the world does not behave and think exactly as you do, and we can all be very grateful for that.

by Anonymousreply 75December 21, 2023 5:55 PM

Yeah, R75? I bet most people would be satisfied going to 1, maybe 2 milestone reunions, not several. And if you think otherwise, then right back atcha: I'm glad I don't think like you, either.

by Anonymousreply 76December 21, 2023 5:59 PM

Seek professional help, r72. Truly and honestly we're facing much bigger issues than Bradley Cooper going to a reunion and (shriek!!!) talking about it. Yet here you are...obsessed.

by Anonymousreply 77December 21, 2023 6:02 PM

Responding to you is not being obsessed, R77, or a sign of being mentally ill--maybe just a sign of being bored. Looks to me like you're right along with everyone else here, responding. Maybe you, too, should seek some help?

by Anonymousreply 78December 21, 2023 6:05 PM

[quote]Maybe you, too, should seek some help?

I'm not the one being a hypercritical drama queen, r78, and finding fault where there is none to be found.

by Anonymousreply 79December 21, 2023 6:16 PM

R79, how am I being hypocritical?

by Anonymousreply 80December 21, 2023 6:19 PM

Obviously part of his Oscar campaign. "Look at meeeeee!!! I'm so normal! I talk to the little people! I give back! Me ME MEEEEEE!!!"

by Anonymousreply 81December 21, 2023 6:36 PM

R81, it's true that when there's a movie to plug, they will go to any lengths in the name of publicity.

by Anonymousreply 82December 21, 2023 6:42 PM

He just gets uglier. He is a 2 face! He was hot in the first Hangover movie but ugly every where else

by Anonymousreply 83December 21, 2023 6:52 PM

For her, it was a fuck-you to the bullies who made her life hell. THAT is a good reason to go, and that is NOT the case with Miss Cooper.

This is essentially the same reason, or frankly, an even worse reason than the one you're attributing to Cooper. Honestly pathetic. As if they were unaware of who she became. What if they had "Carrie'd" her? Cooper at least apparently enjoyed his time in high school, so returning for a reunion isn't particularly odd. Perhaps he was requested to attend by friends. The impulse that drove Janis is much darker.

by Anonymousreply 88December 21, 2023 7:44 PM

R88, Janis Joplin was completely justified in wanting to preen in front of the very bastards who savagely abused her just a few years before, unlike this pretty, popular prep-school boy. Fuck outta here.

by Anonymousreply 91December 21, 2023 7:51 PM

Yes, R91, Joplin's OD directly related to her attendance at her high school reunion. Are you also as stupid looking as you sound?

by Anonymousreply 92December 21, 2023 7:52 PM

I enjoyed high school and marching band so I have been to two of my reunions.

I thought it was cool that he went. I'm sure he has friends he wanted to see. He seems like a nice guy and I found it kind of sweet that he went.

by Anonymousreply 93December 21, 2023 7:57 PM

r92 Really? So you think that her showing up to her reunion to "preen" in front of her tormentors indicated...what exactly? You think there's no connection between high school age "abuse" and later life fuckups? Perhaps if she had let go of some of that bitterness and urge to "show up" people who should no longer have mattered to her, she wouldn't have become a drug addict. Did she even make the reunion?

by Anonymousreply 94December 21, 2023 8:04 PM

OP what business is it of yours. Why are you mad?

by Anonymousreply 95December 21, 2023 8:37 PM

[quote] I bet most people would be satisfied going to 1, maybe 2 milestone reunions, not several. And if you think otherwise, then right back atcha: I'm glad I don't think like you, either.

If it were worth my time to respond to you as a rational human being, I would say that how many high school reunions one attends might depend on several variables. For a while, my high school was holding reunions every five years, and I believe I attended two or three of them in a row because I was still living not far from the site of the reunion and I enjoyed seeing and catching up with people every five years, so why not? Clearly, your thinking about this is different, and that's fine. But you should apologize for suggesting that people who attend "several" of their reunions must have something wrong with them mentally and/or emotionally, because I REALLY don't think you are in a position to make such a judgment.

[quote] Clearly, your thinking about this is different, and that's fine.

Very nice of you, R98.

[quote] But you should apologize for suggesting that people who attend "several" of their reunions must have something wrong with them mentally and/or emotionally

R98, I never said any such thing, so stop making up bullshit. I believe I used the word "pathetic," and I was said that was my opinion, period. I believe it was you who referred to me as mentally ill?

by Anonymousreply 103December 21, 2023 10:06 PM

I think it's cool that he went and hung out with normal people. In Hollywood, he's surrounded by YES people and others who suck up for jobs etc.

It's nice to see him get out of that bubble and hang with normal folks.

by Anonymousreply 104December 21, 2023 10:07 PM

It's a prep school. No "normal people" there.

by Anonymousreply 105December 21, 2023 10:11 PM

It's weird how people here don't see him as a person, just because he's a celebrity. Are people who become successful supposed to stay away from their high school reunions? I don't understand that? Are high school reunions only for the non-famous?

Chris Evens went to his 20 year high school reunion. Meryl Streep went to her college reunion and took 5 of her undergrad classmates to a Michael Moore show ( I read about it). College graduation is only 4 years later than high school graduation.

NAR-CI-SIS-TIIIIIC

by Anonymousreply 114December 21, 2023 10:52 PM

R112 Excuse me? He's still a person who has an inner life - and a desire to revisit his past, where he came from, his high school class, etc. That would seem to be obvious to any person with brains. Some people are reacting as if a person who becomes famous suddenly is a robotic "star" clone who behaves according to some rote set of "celebrity" rules.

I am 64 years old and several of my classmates from kindergarten through high school have passed on. I went to my 25th reunion and enjoyed talking with them there. Now I wish I had gone to my 40th. I was hit harder than I expected when I heard they were no longer with us.

I haven't maintained contact with anyone, but they are still part of my life story. I am definitely going to my 50th, now that it is four years away. I was the geek in the class, and I was made fun of, but even those people who did it were eager to talk to me at the 25th. I didn't think I was going to have a good time, but I did.

by Anonymousreply 128December 22, 2023 3:26 AM

Excuse me for misquoting you, R103. I'll modify my post to say that you should apologize for insisting that anyone who would attend "several" high school reunions is "pathetic."

by Anonymousreply 129December 22, 2023 3:27 AM

“People love to feel superior to their past.”

by Anonymousreply 130December 22, 2023 3:34 AM

^^but sometimes they just want to hang out with their old high school friends and have a bit of fun.

by Anonymousreply 131December 22, 2023 3:48 AM

I don’t think it’s weird or inappropriate for him to go to his HS reunion. (I feel like the same folks bitching that he went would slam him if there was a news story that he DIDN’T go for being an egomaniac and thinking he’s too good for it all 🙄).

I don’t know famous people, but social media has made me realize I know people who know famous people. And oddly some of them are just normal people who want to stay close to the folks they knew growing up. They want to comment on pics of their friend’s kids, they want to make snarky remarks on jokes that all their friends are making.

Many, many years ago, I made a comment on a friend’s post on Facebook and I got a notification when someone responded and I was shocked. It was an (undeniably) A-list celeb who just left a 😂 emoji response. She didn’t have a blue check mark verifying her and when I searched Facebook, I found another account that was verified. So I messaged our mutual friend and asked “is that really who it says it is?” Yup. Friends since junior high. She had two accounts. One professional one and one for keeping in touch with friends.

So I don’t know this actress, I didn’t immediately send her a friend request, but I thought, well…she’s just a person. She may be a famous person, but she has friends from when she wasn’t and she’s keeping that part of her life and doing the same thing we all do. She just had to do it twice. Once for business, once for her friends. 🤷🏻

I don’t think everything every celebrity does is attention seeking. Some things that they do seem to go out of the way to avoid attention. I can’t say that BC going to a high school reunion is weird and all I can assume is he had friends and seeing them all in the same place at a reunion is an easy way to say hi and catch up.

Telling it as a story on a talk show also isn’t the worst thing ever. Calling the paparazzi and having them SHOW UP AT the reunion would be weird, but it doesn’t sound like he did that, huh?

by Anonymousreply 132December 22, 2023 3:57 AM

Notice that Miss Cooper isn't in the group photo.

Which means, he probably left the reunion early.

Probably just showed up to say that he went to the reunion, and then bailed early.

I would love for one of his classmates to spill the dirt.

How is this narcissism? I went to my high school's 50th. I was one of the senior class leaders. Did I think that mattered FIFTY YEARS LATER? Fuck no.

I went to meet up with classmates I hadn't seen since we graduated. They are scattered across the country, so the chance to congregate was, for me, a welcome opportunity to renew old ties. We had a great time. I will likely never see these people again. And in fact a few have since died.

Is it so wrong for Cooper to want to visit old friends at a venue where he doesn't have to duck the paparazzi? Is it so wrong that he might want to be among normal people instead of among sycophants or celebrity suckups?

Some of you previous posters really tick me off.

by Anonymousreply 134December 22, 2023 4:14 AM

Brad’s PR shills are out in force.

I guess his thirst for an AA is even more desperate than we thought.

See R135, r131 and r132

Too bad you had a rough time in high school.

What do they pay you, $10 an hour?

There are way more honorable jobs than this.

Get a real job where you’re respected.

Being an on-line PR shill is beneath you!

by Anonymousreply 137December 22, 2023 4:39 AM

R135/R137 is 100% correct.

There is some serious Bradley Cooper shilling going on here.

by Anonymousreply 138December 22, 2023 4:43 AM

Mr. Dictionary has deserted r137 tonight.

by Anonymousreply 139December 22, 2023 4:43 AM

So sad that he still got beaten up by his high school buddies - now all overweight ex-cops.

by Anonymousreply 140December 22, 2023 4:45 AM

R140 Bullies, rather. His old buddies probably just hit him up for cash.

by Anonymousreply 141December 22, 2023 4:46 AM

It's a Philly thing, I get it. He's attached to the Philadelphia area and you know....the memories. No big deal. Go Eagles!

by Anonymousreply 142December 22, 2023 4:56 AM

What I can't help wondering, r67, is why it matters so much to you that Bradley Cooper goes to his HS reunions.

by Anonymousreply 143December 22, 2023 5:49 AM

He sure has not aged very well. I believe he attended his high school reunion to become the talk of the town again. All he wants to do is win, win, win, whether it be awards, adulations by his few remaining fans, etc, etc. Emotionally he is a hot mess.

by Anonymousreply 144December 22, 2023 5:59 AM

BradLEY is at heart a Philly boy. He attends home Eagles games, e.g. Also, he recently bought a home in the New Hope area.

His motivation for going to his high school reunion was probably similar to that of many others: To see and be seen.

On one "Dick Cavett Show" Janis Joplin, after her rise to fame, attended her Port Arthur, TX, high school reunion, where as a student she wasn't treated well. She got the same at the reunion.

by Anonymousreply 145December 22, 2023 6:26 AM

Not true, R145. They didn't treat her the same at her high school reunion as they had in school.

by Anonymousreply 146December 22, 2023 12:09 PM

R129, I'll pass on apologizing because pathetic is pathetic.

by Anonymousreply 147December 22, 2023 12:10 PM

Fat ex-cops? He went to a prep school. They're probably mostly finance bros.

by Anonymousreply 148December 22, 2023 1:36 PM

Incredible how some of the tools who are posting here keep INSISTING that people (like me) who think there's nothing wrong with Cooper attending his high school reunions MUST be paid shills, rather than understanding that many people may simply and honestly disagree with their bitter, nasty selves for this bitchy opinion.

by Anonymousreply 149December 22, 2023 1:48 PM

maybe he missed his buddies from high school. very simple reason.

by Anonymousreply 150December 22, 2023 5:49 PM

Hi Bradley Cooper PR shill at R150!

Did you just earn another $10 for your post?

by Anonymousreply 151December 22, 2023 6:07 PM

This thread is one of the most bizarre ones. How dare someone go to their high school reunion. Let’s talk about something that affects none of us endlessly. Weirdos.

by Anonymousreply 152December 22, 2023 6:16 PM

R152, this thread is not bizarre, is actually quite in line with a Datalounge thread, you're contributing to this thread so you're also part of the "endlessly" you speak of, and there's nothing weird at all about having an opinion (especially on DL) on a self-involved movie star. Now do fuck off.

by Anonymousreply 153December 22, 2023 6:57 PM

He's on the outs here, we've seen his normal dick. The mystique of, is he hung or not is gone and now he's just another average shlub.

by Anonymousreply 154December 22, 2023 7:11 PM

I like that Bradley Cooper is paying folks to shill on a website that attracts tens of visitors, mostly basement dwelling non-influential individuals. It tells me he really is determined to leave no stone unturned in his quest for attention. That’s dedication!

by Anonymousreply 155December 22, 2023 8:17 PM

Welcome to Datalounge, Miss Bradley Cooper at R155!

by Anonymousreply 156December 22, 2023 8:22 PM

Attention whore!!

"Look at me, I'm a normal homosexual"

Faggot!

by Anonymousreply 157December 22, 2023 8:47 PM

[quote] Janis Joplin said, when she was on Dick Cavett, that she was going to hers, by saying: "They laughed me out of class, out of town, and out of state--so now I'm going home." For her, it was a fuck-you to the bullies who made her life hell.

And it did not work out for her. She went back in 1970 for her ten-year reunion, unrealistically expecting the people who treated her so badly back then would now respect her and be nice to her, and all they did was treat her like the same freak who had unexpectedly became famous. Supposedly it was absolutely crushing for her. She ODed later that year.

by Anonymousreply 158December 22, 2023 8:54 PM

R158 is providing proof that attending high school reunions are dangerous to your mental and physical health, and possibly fatal.

Thanks, R158!

Now, back to Bradley Cooper...

[quote] Bradley Cooper bolts from NYC press conference to tend to daughter’s health

NEW YORK — Bradley Cooper was forced to cut short a press conference in Manhattan on Thursday to tend to a sudden health issue involving his daughter.

The “Maestro” star — who was promoting the Leonard Bernstein biopic he co-wrote and directed — learned of the problem when a school nurse phoned the Oscar nominee about 6-year-old Lea.

“So sorry. The school nurse just called me,” he told the crowd, noting he’d have to ditch the event to administer his little girl some medicine that was out of scope for the school. “I have to apply something that they won’t allow.”

It has not yet been revealed what sort of medicine Cooper had to give Lea, nor what happened to necessitate the meds.

The “Nightmare Alley” actor-producer shares custody of Lea — who makes a cameo in “Maestro” as a younger version of one of Bernstein’s daughters — with model Irina Shayk. Cooper and Shayk were together from 2015 to 2019, and have maintained a healthy co-parenting relationship, even spending the holidays and going on vacation together.

“Maestro” is Cooper’s sophomore directorial project, following 2018’s critically acclaimed adaptation of “A Star Is Born,” which scored Cooper three Oscar nominations for best picture, best actor and best adapted screenplay.

“Maestro” has similarly been considered a front-runner for some of the Academy's most sought-after honors, including best picture and director.

Jeez, people. School nurses are unable to perform some procedures; they are not licensed for it. So the nurses call the parents. One of the parents comes to the school to perform the act the nurse is unable to; then the parent decides what the next course of action is.

Anyone in their right mind will leave anything they are doing to attend to their child. What the hell, R187???
