Puhlease. Her show is doing fine. She's a 65 year old singer who hasn't had a hit in 18 years, but is still able to play multiple nights in each city. Most people going to her concerts know to show up until about 9:30(and still expect to wait). The videos out there during the show are proof her attendance is just fine.

It's only just past 9. There's at least another hour before she will grace you all with her presence so I would think most folk are either on their way knowing she is going to be late or getting tanked up. She didn't start in DC last night til 10.30 and didn't finish until 12.55 am. Have fun.

“Hard Candy” in 2008 was a terrible follow up to “Confessions on a Dance Floor”. It’s basically a Justin Timberlake / Timbaland album with Pharrell beats.

“Bedtime Stories” was a safe follow up to the backlash of “Erotica” and she chased the R&B trends working with Babyface and Dallas Austin but it still felt like Madonna. She didn’t feel like a guest on her own album.

But after that she pursued directing and had huge album gaps. She had writing camps and “MDMA” and “Rebel Heart” sounded like rejects Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez turned down, especially “MDMA”.

“Madame X” felt like her first real album since “Confessions” which was good but that doesn’t mean it was particularly good.

I went to the DC show Monday night and had a ball, even though she didn’t come on until 1030 and it wasn’t over until just before 1 (on a work night!). She addressed her lateness, saying that she knew she was late but that she wasn’t going to apologize. She also mentioned that she knew it was weird to have a concert on a Monday night 🤣. It was my first Madonna concert and I’m glad I got to see a show where she did most of her hits and not just stuff from the album du jour. I agree with the poster upthread who said that scalpers had a big portion of the tickets, because there were lots of empty seats, including the entire section next to mine. I saw Janet over the summer (Janet and Madonna are my two favorite female artists) and at least she started on time. Hers was also an amazing retrospective type show.
