I bought all of the Colt publications when I was in my 20s and 30s. They were expensive, but I would justify buying one every couple of months. It was quality photography featuring what I love most about a man, beauty, muscle, and bush-and lots of it.

Jim French had a connoisseur's eye for the male form.

All snark aside, he really was a true artist when it came to selecting and photographing men.

Decades later, no one has come close to having his eye.

This is the photo I remember most, from Honcho (as I mentioned upthread). I had this issue over 40 years ago. I found the image I was thinking about. This one

Man, those are some fine photos... don't know, don't care if he way gay or used the pics to earn a living, just pleased he was confident enough to have the photos taken and shared.

And yes, there is the question of what ever happened to? Did Guy decide to no longer let it all hang out and became a CPA? A cop? An engineer working at NASA? Civil engineer? Mayor of some small town in Idaho? Maybe he was a farmer?

Did his wife (if he had one) know about the photos? If he never married, did family find the photos when cleaning out his home after he died? Talk about a shock...

Pretty sure Guy McCoy was hetero and a lot of the Colt models who engaged in strict modeling and nothing gay were straight. If they were willing to shoot with another man there was usually a lot more money involved but they wanted no parts of it.

Also, is he still alive? R32 he was photographed in the late 70s/early 80s. Actually I think his last photoshoot was in 1980 or 1981. He wasn’t doing the nude modeling for long. People are speaking like this was a man in 1950. He very well could still be alive 43 years later.
