They want to stop women from leaving the state to have abortions, it's not enough to just ban women from having abortions in their own state
Amarillo, TX city council considers an abortion travel ban

Let them do it. This only helps Democrats.

How on earth would that be legal and how would they stop it-would all women be subject to a pregnancy test or gynecological exam at the airports, the bus and train stations and the city limits?

*stop it meaning stop someone from traveling for an abortion.

Well, Amarillo is already a shit hole with nothing in it, so more impetus to leave and never come back. Yes, I've been there.
Texas should secede.

zero way of enforcing this

And then they complain that the birth rate is down b/c women don't want to have sex because they bear all the consequences in these dumb ass states.
Gee.... duh....

Ummmm….
They’re not smart enough to think so forwardly to be concerned about birth rates today.
They just don’t want their rape babies to be aborted. Men like that actually get to CONCEIVE other men like them.
And they raise the alarm that the gays are out to convert.

I've spent time in Amarillo and it is without doubt the worst city in America -- flat, empty, dusty, architecturally pathetic, hours from any place even remotely interesting, and conservative beyond belief. For them Trump isn't far right wing enough. The residents refuse to pay adequate taxes and then complain bitterly when their infrastructure falls apart. They vote so republican that being a democrat in Amarillo is akin to being a leper.
The worst part was that when people meet you, they don't ask where you're from and what you do. The standard beginning of any conversation is "what's your home church?" as, first of all, everyone must go to church, and they way people decide what to think of you is which church you pick.
Every once in a while a horrible smell wafts through town, it's called the Smell of Money. The wealth there comes from the cattle industry, specifically the slaughtering -- something like a third of all cattle in America are slaughtered within a 100 mile radius of the place. And when the smell of shit, death, and farts blows through the city, the residents take pride in what gave them their income.

Why do anti-abortion activists never mention IVF? IVF involves harvesting eggs, fertilising them, then choosing the most viable to transfer into the womb. The rest are either destroyed or used for research. If life begins at conception, they should be harassing couples who have IVF. But, of course, those couples are generally middle-class and are doing something "virtuous", i.e. trying to become parents.

This is why this whole abortion thing is blowing up in republican faces, if you're going to take away a woman's right to choose you better take away her right to vote too
