She gives me the creeps—there's something disingenuous about her. She is mysterious, and not in a good way. I think her deep involvement in Scientology is part of why she carries this vibe. I get what R20 is saying.

She is excellent in the right role: Peggy in Mad Men, June in the Handmaid’s Tale, and as the tormented protagonist of The Invisible Man. As others have noted, she doesn’t project a lot of warmth onscreen and isn’t as compelling in roles where the audience is meant to accept her as an ordinary person. Despite that, she’s one of the better US-born actresses of her generation.

It’s suspect that Moss remains aligned with Scientology, but outside of that a bit of mystery isn’t a bad thing for someone with a public-facing career. It wouldn’t necessarily make her a more accessible actress if she were more open about herself.

She clearly doesn't suffer from a suppressive appetite.
