Prince Constantin of Liechtenstein Dies 'Unexpectedly' at Age 51: 'A Terrible Shock'

The Princely House of Liechtenstein is mourning the sudden death of Prince Constantin at age 51.

The royal house announced the news in a statement on Wednesday and did not disclose a cause of death.

Prince Constantin is the youngest son of Prince Hans-Adam II, the current reigning prince of Lichtenstein, and was seventh in the line of succession to the throne. He is survived by his wife, Princess Marie, and their three children, Prince Moritz, 20, Princess Georgina, 18, and Prince Benedikt, 15.

Vaterland said that Constantin had served as general director and chairman of the board of the Prince Liechtenstein Foundation for 11 years and noted that the group “holds almost all of the royal family's assets, such as one of the largest private art collections in the world, the LGT Group, a museum, the Vaduz Hofkellerei [one of the royal family’s wine cellars] and various properties.”

By an odd coincidence, Prince Oskar of Sweden was visiting the royal Liechtenstein palace at the time!

I saw a TV documentary on the Liechtenstein family, I think it was an episode of the series "Aristocrats". Anyway, this particular prince that died was walking around in the tightest jeans EVER and he had a GLORIOUS ass. RIP to that ass.

His Serene Highness Prince Constantin of Liechtenstein

His/Her Serene Highness (abbreviation: HSH, second person address: Your Serene Highness) is a style used today by the reigning families of Liechtenstein, Monaco and Thailand. Over the past 400 years, it has also used as a style for senior members of the family of Hazrat Ishaan, who are believed to succeed Prophet Muhammad based on the 1400 year old Sunni Sayyid ul Sadatiyya line of Imamate of Ahlul Bayt. Until 1918, it was also associated with the princely titles of members of some German ruling and mediatised dynasties and with a few princely but non-ruling families. It was also the form of address used for cadet members of the dynasties of France, Italy, Russia and Ernestine Saxony, under their monarchies. Additionally, the treatment was granted for some, but not all, princely yet non-reigning families of Bohemia, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania and Russia by emperors or popes. In a handful of rare cases, it was employed by non-royal rulers in viceregal or even republican contexts.

In a number of older English dictionaries, serene as used in this context means supreme; royal; august; marked by majestic dignity or grandeur; or high or supremely dignified.

Was there a bathtub or jacuzzi involved?

I love that his mother was a Countess Kinsky von Wchinitz und Tettau and his wife was a Countess Kálnoky de Köröspatak. Such obscure sounding names, but each actually from an ancient and esteemed family.

Is there size meat in Lichtenstein? He has a beer in the pic. Was he drunk as a lord?

“They are quite Teutonic” lady Smedley

Sexscapade gone wrong.

I believe all male line descendants of the original Prince of Liechtenstein (whoever that was) are themselves Princes of Liechtenstein, as are their daughters (Princesses), but not the children of the daughters. So I think there are hundreds of Princes of Liechtenstein running around in Europe.

Sounds like an undiagnosed heart issue.

R18 This is a threat about royalty, and there will be no taint licking.

Dollface thread.

He's cute in that (likely quite dated) pic.

I'm sure the wife did it.

Couldn’t you just write “He had a great ass but couldn’t live forever”?

Report it to the Ministry of the Interior!

The second prince in this tiny country to die relatively young…this one looks even more dicey.
