Well, it's not that DLers don't know how to push back. We do it all the time when someone says some anti-anything. With xenophobia I am hardly seeing any "concerns", possibly because it's just not that frowned upon. I could muse about deeply engrained ideas of exceptionalism in the US. Not sure if there is more to it. But things are changing. People are getting a broader view and appreciate other countries' benefits more nowadays. Things are moving.
