Kelsey’s still hitting the bottle, I see.
BBC Host Says Kelsey Grammer Interview Was Cut Short After 'Fraiser' Star Said He Supports Trump
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 6, 2023 6:02 PM |
It's pretty funny how the studio realized that the viewers of [italic]Fraiser[/italic] are liberals and educated people, and Grammer's hard-right political beliefs would bring an end to this reboot so fast you wouldn't have time to ponder the scrambled eggs.
Cue the 'tards screeching about freedumb.

Hmm, and people on here were wondering why the likes of David Hyde Pierce couldn’t be lured back to Frasier.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 4, 2023 3:52 PM |
He probably longs for the advent of the New Reich.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 4, 2023 3:54 PM |
Now Grammer has an excuse for why his show failed. “I’ve been cancelled by the woke!”
Now we know why Hyde Pierce will have nothing to do with Grammer’s show.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 4, 2023 3:55 PM |
Besides, this guy is a professional clown, remember? Just like Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 4, 2023 3:55 PM |
He should have asked them about BBC not being able to call terrorists “terrorists”.
I would’ve told them I would talk about my politics as soon as they get the head of their company on to talk about their immorality when it comes to terrorism.
“Go ahead bitch. Get him on camera. I’ll wait”
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 4, 2023 3:59 PM |
It's one thing for poor people in some backwater where you only hear right wing media to support Trump. Grammer is being willfully blind.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 4, 2023 3:59 PM |
I put trumptards / facists and extreme leftists in the same flaming shit pile.
Gone are the days of moderate liberalism.
The world has gone mad.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 4, 2023 5:00 PM |
I hope it fails miserably, he deserves it.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 4, 2023 5:10 PM |
Of course you do, r8...of course you do.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 4, 2023 5:13 PM |
Grammer had family members murdered. That probably turned him into "Democrats are soft on crime!"
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 4, 2023 5:18 PM |
I cut them short too. It’s a sign there isn’t much to work with.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 4, 2023 5:21 PM |
Now Grammer has an excuse for why his show failed. “I’ve been cancelled by the woke!”
It'd hardly be new, he's been blaming liberals hating his politics for him not winning awards for years and years, long before 2016
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 4, 2023 5:22 PM |
Trump has somehow allowed GOP conservatives to feel like they bringin the Revolution. You know, just like the Original Revolution (TM). The one where the wealthy slaveholders sort of fought the British, while it was distracted by Napoleon.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 4, 2023 5:29 PM |
Maybe they'll kill Frasier off and we'll get The Cranes.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 4, 2023 5:30 PM |
I hate this country now. So ashamed of it. Trump was like the apple Adam & Eve ate; the truth became clear. We can never go back to ignorant national pride.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 4, 2023 5:45 PM |
Well put, R16.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 4, 2023 5:50 PM |
Camille Grammer Supports Trump too.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 4, 2023 5:54 PM |
Where are the DL grammer police when you need them?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 5, 2023 2:00 AM |
R18, Of course she does. She's only thinking about her gold dug pile of money, though I have a hard time figuring out how Trump will help in that respect. He has no plans or policies except personal revenge.
Next year I'm planning on asking any acquaintances if they'll be voting for Trump. I will tell them that our friendship is over if the answer is yes. I'm getting old and very cranky so I'll be doing us both a favor. But that's how important this election is.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 5, 2023 2:07 AM |
It's not a secret that he's been a Republican in the past, but to be a Trump supporter after everything Trump did on January 6 is pretty bad. Why can't he be one of the Republicans that opposes Trump?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 5, 2023 8:18 AM |
Because he's stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 5, 2023 8:21 AM |
Or a racist
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 5, 2023 9:24 AM |
Probably both.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 5, 2023 9:43 AM |
Because he thinks FOX news does outstanding journalism, R21. In other words, he's stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 5, 2023 9:57 AM |
Grammer is a lot like Fox. Fox broadcast was built on the shoulders of one show, Married With Children and branched out into other liberal loving shows. Fox Entertainment funded Fox News.
Kelsey is a right-winger who simply is using his dual coast elite persona to make money at the expense of his viewers.
No wonder the Paramount Plus people didn't want him to come out as a Trumper.
The show's title character should be called Fraiser Eichmann.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 5, 2023 9:57 AM |
Why do you support Trump
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 5, 2023 9:58 AM |
Personally, I think he’s just stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 5, 2023 9:59 AM |
Most Trump supporters are willfully ignorant AND greedy.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 5, 2023 10:00 AM |
Mouth-breathing, Fox News-watching deplorables are too stupid to know better. For someone like Kelsey Grammer to proclaim his support for Trump, especially after January 6th, is morally reprehensible.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 5, 2023 10:12 AM |
I honestly don't agree with the handling of this situation. He's an actor not an activist. He votes for a democratic party the host disagrees with. This is the BBC who have a very clear bias, obviously. Ignoring what people say worked just great, see exhibit A: Brexit. I remember how absolutely surprised everyone was. You will not remove topics from discourse by ignoring them. The media landscape will just get more divided.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 5, 2023 11:01 AM |
The BBC had nothing to do with ending the interview, R31. Paramount reps stopped it, and the BBC explained this to their listeners.
What are they teaching in schools these days where they used to teach comprehension?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 5, 2023 11:45 AM |
I thought FOX was built on the shoulders of "The Simpsons", R26.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 5, 2023 12:13 PM |
There seems to be a commonality among the celebrity males who support Trump: they all could play potential suspects in a sexual assault.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 5, 2023 12:22 PM |
Both Married with Children and The Simpsons.
Ed Neil ended up making half a million an episode way back then. You wonder what the profit was.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 5, 2023 12:55 PM |
R31, I believe you mean "Republican Party"?
I would hate to think that the brilliant, erudite, and charming Sit-Com "Frasier" was regarded by its star as his opportunity to send-up Liberals in general and/or Democrats in particular, rather than as a show depicting humorous, poignant, and sometimes contentious human situations.
Was the On-Air Dr. Crane intended as a mockery of that type of help, or only of Dr. Crane? Were Frasier's romantic failures to show Liberals as losers? And never mind his "I'm looking for a MAN!" farcical situations.
The above might sound a spoof itself, but no. I'm now seeing the show through Grammer's MAGAt eyes....
And wondering.
There seems to be a commonality among the celebrity males who support Trump: they all could play potential suspects in a sexual assault.
Grammer was accused of raping a 15-year-old babysitter when his substance abuse problems were out of control. That those claims haven't been excavated and re-litigated by social media suggests he's completely irrelevant to Gen Z.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 5, 2023 1:13 PM |
He’s always been a insufferable conservative cunt
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 5, 2023 1:31 PM |
It's a testament to Frasier's cast and writing that I can completely overlook Kelsey's multifaceted scumminess and use the show's sound files to fall asleep to every night. This new season doesn't allow me to do it. There's no sweetness or comedy or comeuppance to Kelseys character. He just seems like a MAGAt.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 5, 2023 1:39 PM |
Remember when Rinna and Camille got into an argument over Brett Kavanaugh? Camille fully supported him
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 5, 2023 1:40 PM |
All Trump supporters are mentally ill.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 5, 2023 3:58 PM |
Camille hasn't been a real Grammer since 2011, which is when Kelsey remarried. Brett Kavanaugh was installed in 2018.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 5, 2023 4:05 PM |
saw the actor acknowledging comedian Roseanne Barr’s influence on the Frasier reboot.
This may explain things.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 5, 2023 10:41 PM |
I have conservative family members who loved the original Frasier, which I was very surprised about because they usually loudly reject anything intellectual. Turned out what they loved was "the way it makes smart people look stupid."
So there's that.

What, R14?? That’s a pretty fractured version of American and European history. When the American Revolution began in 1776 Napoleon was seven years old. When it ended in 1783 he was 14 years old. Napoleon became First Counsel of France on December 13, 1799, the day before George Washington, who had left the office of President of the United States several years prior, died. It is not possible that the British were distracted by Napoleon during the American Revolution.
No wonder the Paramount Plus people didn't want him to come out as a Trumper.
But what's surprising is that anyone is surprised by this -- it's been known for years that he is a hardcore Republican. How is it that fans of Frasier are only finding this out now? Didn't they bother to look up Grammer's previous record before now?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 6, 2023 6:34 AM |
I know that the original "Frasier" was wonderfully written and all that, but I rarely watched it because I could never stand Kelsey Grammer. I knew he was a hard-core Republican and I never cared for his acting. Not to have to listen to his off-key warbling of "Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs" at the end was reason enough not to watch.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 6, 2023 8:16 AM |
R46 - the newer viewers may not know this. Maybe this version is supposed to be a gateway to get younger viewers to give the original Frasier, or even Cheers, a look? Just like Suits took off streaming, even though it's not been off the air for very long. I suspect these back-catalogs are worth much more.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 6, 2023 8:38 AM |
I only want to know him as Sideshow Bob.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 6, 2023 9:32 AM |
Yesterday, Trump promised not to be a dictator if he's elected president. Therefore, voting for him is now all right 😆.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 6, 2023 11:01 AM |

R46, Liz Cheney is also a hard-core Republican.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 6, 2023 11:33 AM |
But I doubt she will vote for Trump, r52.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 6, 2023 11:44 AM |
My point exactly, r53.
I was responding to how, according to r46, anyone could be "surprised" at Kelsey's being pro-Trump, because Grammer has been a known "hard-core Republican."
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 6, 2023 2:09 PM |
Thank you, R45. Well done.
