“Jacob Elordi is the number one babygirl”- our dear Jacob is unstoppable

“ There is no man in Hollywood as tall, as popular, or as beautiful as Jacob Elordi. The 26-year-old Australian is having a breakout winter: First he played Elvis Presley as a himbo in Sofia Coppola’s vibey dollhouse nightmare Priscilla, and soon his handsomeness will cause everyone around him to lose their minds in Emerald Fennell’s upcoming Saltburn. But there is also no man in Hollywood nearly so babygirl.

How can a man tall enough (6’5”, as we are legally obligated to note) to be a combo guard for the Los Angeles Lakers be a little girl, specifically a baby one? It’s all in his too-adorable-for-words demeanor and disarming interview answers. Even his enormous height gets a babygirl reaction: When the actor says how tall he is out loud in front of an audience, people are moved to clap like it is an achievement.

Elordi says his first celebrity crushes were Orlando Bloom as Legolas and Brad Pitt’s Achilles in Troy. Elordi thinks Kylie Minogue is a national treasure. Elordi loves carrying handbags — the Louis Vuitton Speedy, Bottega Veneta’s Andiamo and smaller Cassette crossbody, Valentino’s Lóco — because he loses things but also because he gets bored and needs things like small books, tiny watches, and little pens with him at all times. The best movie Elordi says he’s seen all year is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. He’s seen it four times.

Altogether this amalgam of qualities and tidbits about Elordi — the teen crush on Legolas, the reverence for Kylie Minogue that falls at the intersection of Australians and gay millennials, the cool-girl collection of handbags, the boyish joy at TMNT, and the security to be able to talk about this all without embarrassment — is a portrait of a 6’5” man as the ultimate babygirl. Elordi is redefining what it means to be a Hollywood hunk.

Think about the hottest Hollywood hunk you know. He’s a babygirl, right?

Jacob Elordi’s apparent ascent to leading man status is a tricky thing, mostly because it’s coming at a time when we’re all reevaluating what a “leading man” even is.”

The article is quite long so I can not post it all but it’s a fun read!

For anyone who doesn’t know what the slang term “babygirl” means, here it is..

Babygirl is a phrase used to describe when a man is so primally attractive that you want to provide for him. Also a man so attractive he has you in a loving chokehold (figuratively).

Why are all the Hollywood stars so ugly these days 😭 And I'm not even that old to be out of touch, I'm only 43 ffs

by Anonymousreply 3November 26, 2023 6:19 PM

Because Hollywood got 'woke,'

The leftist radicals who currently run the U.S. entertainment industry despise classic beauty and are trying to push ugliness/obesity as the new standard.

by Anonymousreply 4November 26, 2023 6:31 PM

I have never heard baby girl used for a male. It was a black slang term used for girls and blew up when Timbaland used it to refer to Aaliyah on her hit “Are You That Somebody?” in 1999 or so. I’m starting to think a.i. is writing all theses articles and flat out rewriting history..

by Anonymousreply 5November 26, 2023 6:32 PM

R4, why do they despise classic beauty?? Never heard that one before.

by Anonymousreply 6November 26, 2023 6:33 PM

Elordi is anything but ugly. And it’s a new term r5. Things change. New slang terms are born every few years while others die. We don’t use terms like “groovy” or “far out” anymore but they once were popular. Welcome to the real world.

by Anonymousreply 7November 26, 2023 6:46 PM

yuck

by Anonymousreply 8November 26, 2023 6:49 PM

OP's photo is possibly the very first time Elordi has looked unattractive. Bitch looks like Donkey from Shrek.

by Anonymousreply 9November 26, 2023 6:49 PM

Hopefully this ridiculous term for grown men will die out quickly.

by Anonymousreply 10November 26, 2023 6:49 PM

[quote]The 26-year-old Australian

I genuinely had no idea he was Australian.

by Anonymousreply 11November 26, 2023 6:50 PM

It’s a term created by Gen z. Old people don’t need to use it, or any slang for that matter.

R11 it’s been mentioned here many times and days ago you were corrected on it. Please quit the shit.

by Anonymousreply 12November 26, 2023 6:51 PM

He's Timmy with muscles.

by Anonymousreply 13November 26, 2023 6:54 PM

He was the only memorable part of Priscilla. I do think he has potential as an actor, especially in his age group. But he comes off as pretentious and doesn’t have a lot of charisma outside of his movies so I’m not sure if he can become a movie star.

by Anonymousreply 14November 26, 2023 6:56 PM

R14 you keep claiming he has no charisma when charisma and charm are the two biggest compliments for both his performances as Elvis and Felix.

by Anonymousreply 15November 26, 2023 7:00 PM

He reminds me of a young Ringo Starr.

by Anonymousreply 16November 26, 2023 7:01 PM

Babygirl is a term created on social media by Gen Z females to describe very attractive guys.

He’s very handsome and like many very beautiful men tends to do things to make himself less good looking. This is something I’ve always found interesting about a lot of good looking men.

by Anonymousreply 17November 26, 2023 7:02 PM

Remember when adults were adults, and did stuff like storming beaches to defeat evil dictators? Pepperidge Farm remembers...

by Anonymousreply 18November 26, 2023 7:03 PM

R15 In interviews he doesn’t really come off charismatic. If he wants to be a bigger star he needs to work on that.

by Anonymousreply 19November 26, 2023 7:03 PM

For example Zendaya hasn’t really demonstrated she has much range in her acting, but she has a lot of charisma in interviews and on the red carpet hence why she’s a huge name among her age group.

by Anonymousreply 20November 26, 2023 7:05 PM

R17 it’s because some of them get tired of people only ever caring about their good looks. I think they start to feel resentful or just annoyed. The catch is they know at any given moment they can clean themself up and look gorgeous again, without a problem. Elordi is very attractive and in a very conventional way.

by Anonymousreply 21November 26, 2023 7:06 PM

OP you are pathetic.

by Anonymousreply 22November 26, 2023 7:08 PM

R19 r20 what is “charisma” to you? Have you watched an interview of Al Pacino? Or Joaquin Phoenix? Get back to me.

by Anonymousreply 23November 26, 2023 7:08 PM

R23 Joaquin is not conventionally attractive like Jacob is so there’s no point in comparing them.

by Anonymousreply 24November 26, 2023 7:10 PM

R24 you weren’t speaking about looks. You were speaking about charisma. Keep up with your own commentary.

by Anonymousreply 25November 26, 2023 7:11 PM

R25 Jacob’s team clearly wants him to be the leading man/movie star of his generation. Remember that GQ profile from last year or so? Being talented and good looking is not enough, you also need to have charisma that draws people to you. And Jacob doesn’t have that outside of his movies. He needs to work on it, that’s all I’m saying.

by Anonymousreply 26November 26, 2023 7:13 PM

R26 you need that IN YOUR MOVIES. That is where it matters. Not whether you’re very charismatic in an interview. Please please stop speaking about shit you know nothing about.

by Anonymousreply 27November 26, 2023 7:14 PM

R4 = the fascist poison running like virus around the western world. Love it, heal it, give it to God.

by Anonymousreply 28November 26, 2023 7:14 PM

R26 clearly all young actors working right now want to be leading men… that is typically the goal of an actor in movies… are you fucking slow?

by Anonymousreply 29November 26, 2023 7:15 PM

Paul Mescal lover,

I have some news for you.

People on the Autism Spectrum are able to identify others on the Spectrum, even unconsciously, even if they themselves don’t know they have it.

Paul Mescal is probably on the Spectrum. Jacob Elordi is definitely on the Spectrum.

You, my dear, are also probably on the Spectrum.

by Anonymousreply 30November 26, 2023 7:17 PM

Ffs. Shitting on the movies that made you famous like The Kissing Booth and talking about how he wants to make real art (even though Euphoria was garbage last season) is not charismatic or endearing at all. It’s pretentious as hell.

by Anonymousreply 31November 26, 2023 7:17 PM

R31 doesn’t know what charisma is.

by Anonymousreply 32November 26, 2023 7:18 PM

I thought Pedro Pascal was the reigning “babygirl”. 🤔

What happened? Do I need to have this Elordi kid killed so Pedro can reclaim his crown?

by Anonymousreply 33November 26, 2023 7:18 PM

[quote]Paul Mescal is probably on the Spectrum. Jacob Elordi is definitely on the Spectrum.

And sometimes people are just using Autism as an excuse for being weird.

by Anonymousreply 34November 26, 2023 7:19 PM

R34 I’m so sick of that fucking troll. It’s getting ridiculous. Waiting for his red tag to come.

by Anonymousreply 35November 26, 2023 7:20 PM

Nobody uses babygirl like that, lmao, how old are you? I'm dying laughing as you're trying to use the term as if it's really a thing. It's not. No matter if it's in urban dictionary.

And yes, the it boys of today are Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac. Both supremely charismatic men, I agree with the previous poster.

by Anonymousreply 36November 26, 2023 7:29 PM

[quote]And yes, the it boys of today are Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac.

A Pedro/Oscar sex tape would probably melt the internet, but Oscar is married to a woman. Sad. But how nice, we have one gay and one straight babygirl champ! Everyone wins!

by Anonymousreply 37November 26, 2023 7:38 PM

I am absolutely sure that both are bisexual, R37. Zero doubt about it.

by Anonymousreply 38November 26, 2023 7:40 PM

I'd watch Oscar suck Pedro alll day, tbh

by Anonymousreply 39November 26, 2023 7:45 PM

R36 it’s so not used to the point articles are using it now.

by Anonymousreply 40November 26, 2023 8:07 PM

"Babygirl, a boy? Hmmm."

by Anonymousreply 41November 26, 2023 8:08 PM

Really, R40? 😂 Tell me more, octogenarian

by Anonymousreply 42November 26, 2023 8:23 PM

I met him in September on set of a film called Oh Canada-it was one of those sAG-AFTRA interim agreement projects.. He actually walked up to me and somebody else and introduced himself to us. He was a genuinely sweet, nice person. Everybody on set ended up loving him and not just because of his work ethic which was wonderful.

by Anonymousreply 43November 26, 2023 8:38 PM

You're so lying, R43.

by Anonymousreply 44November 26, 2023 9:13 PM

"Babygirl" is being used to denote people who are sexually attractive, and nobody has any pedo problems with that? Or problems with how patronizing and objectifying it is?

I don't care which demographic is using it, it's fucking creepy.

by Anonymousreply 45November 27, 2023 4:16 AM

OP continues with her generally creepy, eighth grade level posts. Do you not have friends your own age, OP? Take your exploding ovaries elsewhere and get a tumblr account.

by Anonymousreply 46November 27, 2023 4:44 AM

Stop consta-posting about this funhouse-mirror-faced loser.

It's enough already. Seriously. Stop. Really sick of seeing 3 threads of Elordi at any given time. Try to keep it to the one, please and thank you.

by Anonymousreply 47November 27, 2023 4:50 AM

R37 neither are IT BOYS because they’re not boys. Look up their ages. Theyre having a moment but comparing 40somethings to 20somethings is ridiculous.

Oscar Isaac broke out a few years ago. You clearly don’t know what being an “IT Boy” means.

by Anonymousreply 48November 27, 2023 9:25 AM

R43 everything you post is a lie. Yet you expect people here to believe you. Even r44 called you out. The truth about you is gonna come out soon.

by Anonymousreply 49November 27, 2023 9:26 AM

The "baby girl" concept is fucking stupid.

by Anonymousreply 50November 27, 2023 3:01 PM

I don’t get it. I understand the attraction of many actors even if I don’t feel it but I don’t get it.

by Anonymousreply 51November 27, 2023 4:15 PM

Maybe you aren’t supposed to get it. Just move on if you don’t like him. You claim you don’t get it yet you’re on every thread about him.

by Anonymousreply 52November 27, 2023 4:21 PM

This is just another way for straight women to say that a guy is gay, but they’d still fuck him.

by Anonymousreply 53November 27, 2023 4:30 PM

This is only the beginning, human.

by Anonymousreply 54November 27, 2023 4:52 PM

R53 no it means he’s very attractive with an endearing personality.

by Anonymousreply 55November 27, 2023 5:10 PM

Been seeing a big pr push for this guy - the new king of Hollywood, etc. And now he's a "babygirl"?? Sounds fucking retarded.

Not a fan of his long, heart-shaped face and tiny mouth. He seems pretentious. So the hype's based on his supporting roles. Has he actually opened a movie? Too lazy to look it up.

by Anonymousreply 56November 27, 2023 7:29 PM

R56 it’s 2023. “Opening a movie” is barely a thing. You aren’t even old so why you post shit like you are is weird.

Building a career of off supporting roles is fine.

by Anonymousreply 57November 27, 2023 7:35 PM

Send em back for about ten years when he's a full grown man and not this ridiculous babygirl bullshit. I like my men hairy and with descended testicles and prominent Adam's apples.

by Anonymousreply 58November 27, 2023 7:42 PM

EVERYONE loves when someone who admits to not knowing anything about or had never heard of or has never seen an actor in something and they’re too lazy to even google them whines about how much they dislike that actor.

You should get a job as a film critic. “I absolutely HATED this movie and the lead actors all have zero chemistry or charisma. It was so bad I didn’t even watch the movie and I’ve never seen any of the actors in anything, but I saw a pic online of one of them once. Zero stars.”

by Anonymousreply 59November 27, 2023 7:46 PM

If you block a certain poster on this thread, you’ll find she’s posted 16 times on this thread, and over 70!!! times on the Saltburn thread. I’m betting she’s an alt of OP, with almost all support postings on PML and JE topics.

by Anonymousreply 60November 27, 2023 8:28 PM

R60 maybe you should take that energy and put it into schooling. It’s obvious you have way too much time on your hands when you’re counting posts, and we all know you don’t have an education. ☕️

by Anonymousreply 61November 27, 2023 8:34 PM

The term babygirl is a dick-wilter for sure.

by Anonymousreply 62December 25, 2023 4:57 PM

He's not really my type, facially. I don't see the big deal. Yeah he looks good in certain photos or shots, but he has bad angles.

by Anonymousreply 63December 25, 2023 5:14 PM

He is such a douchenozzle that it wholly overshadows being tall and handsome.

by Anonymousreply 64December 25, 2023 5:19 PM

The way he asks “Me? I’m a baby girl?”

by Anonymousreply 71January 22, 2024 2:47 AM

^ Caps doesn't make it truer FANFRAU.

by Anonymousreply 72January 22, 2024 12:55 PM

R72 that can’t be argued. He was never hailed a star by anyone. He was cast in mostly Ryan Murphy projects and then barely around. He never was making headlines until the Superman casting and he hasn’t even been heard of since the announcement. He wasn’t getting critical praise and headlines for giving great performances in films, because he wasn’t even in films really. He isn’t known. Once Superman comes out he will be the way Cavill became a household name but until then he’s mostly unknown. Elordi is a legit star

by Anonymousreply 73January 22, 2024 4:03 PM

That neck is just weird.
