Was Ted Bundy the only 20th century American serial killer who could be labeled handsome?

Dahmer is more attractive than him. You could see how someone in a gay bar in late 80s, 90s would go home with him. He's probably the most attractive the of the 20th century American Serial Killers.

As far as Serial Killers go r7, he was the most attractive of them. You have to look for pictures up until the point where he was caught, not after he was in jail.

If I’d seen Dahmer when he still looked like this, and I’d been young, a bit tipsy, I’m sure I could have been easily lured.

(Christ, but she probably was right because there were fewer murders. He was cheap too, apparently. He had poodles and walked them regularly which is slightly incongruous an image. His co-workers also joked about him being the 'Green River killer' which chills me.. how did they pick up on it?)

That Yosemite killer was really good looking but had dead eyes (they all do). Richard Ramirez was sexy and good looking until he smiled but he exuded pure evil and was scary AF in courtroom footage.

Bundy changed his appearance constantly and sometimes looked quite creepy. Women who had close calls with him often said something seemed 'off' about him in a very unappealing way, even when he was conventionally handsome.

Earle Nelson was kind of attractive IMO. He had huge hands and was known as the “Gorilla man” because of it, so I’m guessing he was also hung.

R33 He was an extremely sick man. He castrated his victims while still alive. They bled out and died. I don't find him at all attractive.

R32 is Cary Stayner. Very handsome. He was apprehended in a nudist resort, but according to the authorities he wasn’t nude at the time. His crime was particularly heinous.

Bundy's eyes are close together and he also has crazy eyes (two separate things). He has an arrogant demeanor. I never thought he was attractive.

Jeffrey Dahmer was better-looking than Bundy. Dahmer wore those '70s, accountant, metal-framed glasses and had a square hairstyle. He also looked pasty and dressed like an old man. Despite all that, you could see the potential there.

Ramirez supposedly had horrid halitosis.

I wonder if the internet as an outlet, with its access to darker communities, has actually slowed down serial killer urges. I am sure they still exist but they don't seem to be coming out of the woodwork like that used to be. And the most recent one caught, Rex Heuermann, is an older male who committed most of his crimes at least ten years if not twenty years ago. There don't seem to be that many killers in their 20s, 30s who would have been raised with the internet. Mass shooters seem to be the new Serial Killers.

I think the difference is that now there's a lot of technology that can screw over serial killers. DNA, cellphone, CCTV, google searches, etc. So that's why we're seeing mass shooters more. They have a lot more chance of killing the numbers they do without being caught.

R76 It's a lot harder to get away with serial killing. There are ring cameras and cctv everywhere now. Phone pings more or less track the general movements of everyone at all times. Police incompetence is always a factor but I think they don't get the opportunity to keep going that they would have in decades past.

Cell phones, GPS tracking, Security cameras everywhere etc. It's a totally different world now.

This one killed 39 people in Brazil.

This little girl was a very pretty little serial killer. It's hard t I know what she looks like today as she basically lives under a shroud of anonymity. Let's hope she isn't up to more killings.

^ Mary Bell is creepy. She killed a four-year-old and a three-year-old when she was 10-years-old. She was convicted but then released at 23-years-old. It's chilling to think of how she even turned up to a public police meeting about the murders to see what they were saying about it. Definitely a psychopath (diagnosed) but she seems to have at least concluded that killing isn't worth it in her adult life. However, she's out there, walking amongst us and has a kid. The vast majority have no idea who she is.
