Austin Butler: “KAIA! BRING ME THE AXE!”

Disney dumps “The Bikeriders” two weeks before release.

The thing that should be of particular notice is that Disney is 20th Century films, suggesting studio will begin phasing out of "general entertainment" like they did when they shuttered Touchstone.

Anyway:

"HOLLYWOOD ROYALTY!"

Not his biggest fan, but I've heard he's pretty great in this movie.

by Anonymousreply 2November 21, 2023 3:56 PM

You just know Timothee is going to masturbate to this news.

by Anonymousreply 3November 21, 2023 4:08 PM

Oh, yeah… this guy.

Does he still speak with that Elvis affectation? 🤣

by Anonymousreply 4November 21, 2023 4:09 PM

That's a silly title for anything.

by Anonymousreply 5November 21, 2023 5:26 PM

R3: Or conversely he'll be on suicide watch if Wonka flops and they make Butler do all the promo for Dune 2.

by Anonymousreply 6November 21, 2023 8:16 PM

I saw it several months ago at a test screening and it was great. I thought Jodie Comer was the stand-out though

by Anonymousreply 7November 21, 2023 8:18 PM

The Bikeriders? Does this have anything to do with the photography of Danny Lyons?

by Anonymousreply 8November 21, 2023 8:56 PM

Unmarketable name, studio marketing is so bad these days

by Anonymousreply 9November 21, 2023 8:59 PM

Yes r8 it's an adaptation of that book's photography and Lyon's immersion in that community. And I do not get what is so bad about the title??

by Anonymousreply 10November 21, 2023 9:25 PM

R10 titles should never just be the noun of what the movie is about (proper names exluded, ie Jurassic Park or Titanic) unless the title is evocative (Alien, The Exorcist.)

The Bikeriders sounds like a made up name for a Seinfeld movie.

R10 thanks! Some of the stills looked like photos from the book. I’m intrigued! I’ve had that book, and a glossy reissue for years. I love it.

I like Austin. The malicious hatred he gets online makes me sad, he seems like a nice guy. I rewatched Elvis and believe he deserved the Oscar.

by Anonymousreply 14January 5, 2024 4:24 AM

Sorry Austin Buttface!!

Go back to Loser Land, where you belong.

"Elvis." Bwahahahaha

Austin is gorgeous

by Anonymousreply 16January 5, 2024 8:29 AM

I like him too. He’s talented.

by Anonymousreply 17January 5, 2024 8:34 AM

They dumped it because it did not fit in to the Disney mandate of releasing only female empowerment films.

Oh come on!

by Anonymousreply 19January 5, 2024 12:34 PM

Love him!

by Anonymousreply 20January 5, 2024 12:35 PM

Do you think Austin is or was a casting couch user? He seems thirsty. I wouldn't mind seeing that bulge unwrapped.

I'm sure he has a nice fat cock but a skinny little arse

by Anonymousreply 22January 5, 2024 1:18 PM

He looked like an alien in Elvis.

by Anonymousreply 23January 5, 2024 3:28 PM

I think he's cute.

by Anonymousreply 24January 5, 2024 6:23 PM

Totally agree R23. Grotesque.

by Anonymousreply 25January 5, 2024 7:22 PM

What’s grotesque about him?

by Anonymousreply 26January 5, 2024 7:24 PM

[quote] Do you think Austin is or was a casting couch user?

Considering Austin Butler broke into the business as a child actor, you are implying child molestation.

by Anonymousreply 27January 5, 2024 7:46 PM

Questionable anal hygiene.

by Anonymousreply 28January 5, 2024 7:53 PM

Very handsome

by Anonymousreply 29January 6, 2024 3:44 PM

He looks like a JC Penney's catalogue model from the 1970s.

I saw "Elvis" (which was awful) and did not get the hype for him. There's not much there.

by Anonymousreply 30January 6, 2024 3:49 PM

I think what’s really problematic about the title is what the word “bike” evokes.

by Anonymousreply 31January 6, 2024 3:50 PM

They should have changed the title.

by Anonymousreply 32January 6, 2024 6:17 PM

Very handsome, and a good actor. I like him.

by Anonymousreply 33January 6, 2024 8:07 PM

I preferred his original face. He got the "Ryan Gosling" face tweak. These tuneups are expert and effective and make "handsome men", but I still prefer the original natural charm.

by Anonymousreply 34January 6, 2024 10:43 PM

[quote] He got the "Ryan Gosling" face tweak.

What's that precisely?

by Anonymousreply 35January 6, 2024 10:44 PM

Nose and jawline refinements. Any maybe other subtle tweaks. Austin did not NEED it at all. But he had a softer face. And yes I know he was younger but the nose work is obvious.

by Anonymousreply 36January 6, 2024 11:06 PM

Oh shoot, I thought it was about those World Naked bike rides.
