What's the deal with this Jan 6 footage that's been released?

They're grasping at straws hoping that some minor discrepancy or discovery will undermine the prosecutions of all the defendants up to and including the insurrectionist in chief. I'd call it tilting at windmills, hopefully with the same results.

As a political junkie, I haven't been following it either. The Maga loons are grasping at straws to find the golden thread or magic lamp to overturn all the Jan 6th convicted crazies trials. They wanna scream from the mountaintop, "LOOK, it was a Deep State coverup, our dtrump god was right" Then JFK jr will arrive in Dallas!!

I also think there's something of both a power play and a purity test in their psychosis. Like their hero tRump, getting away with lying makes them feel invincible.

Many of them are already in the deep end and looking to see who they can coerce or drag in with them.

Further, a lot of them have been burned by the efforts of patriots to identify and report insurrectionists, an activity they liken to investigation and/or the "research" they do in futility but see actual results from those groups of insurrectionist-finding patriots. They think if they just look hard enough or spend enough time digging through the thousands of hours captured by hundreds of cameras they'll find that one clue that is going to bring the whole MAGA-is-responsible reality crashing down. They're desperate to pin the insurrection on anyone who is not MAGA. And it would be laughable if it weren't so likely to deceive the vast wasteland of low-information voters known as "the American electorate".

The sad part is that in releasing all of this security footage, first Qevin McCarthy and now MAGA Mike have made everyone in the Capital less safe.

Hours and hours of “nothing happening” footage to muddy the waters while fox pundits and various figureheads desperately lie that this proves that it was no big deal and nothing really happened. Conspiracy schizos are now such a multitude that they are a real force in American social life. They will go over every inch of this claiming so and so is an actor, an MK ultra beta kitten, the classic antifa Marxist fbi agent, etc. Then they can start saying stuff like “Democrats didn’t want to be transparent, why did democrats complain when we made all the footage public etc.”

They are all secret scat queens and piss drinkers. They can't wait to feast their eyes on their buddies' publicly shitting and pissing, theit feces smearing, and such. Everyone's saying MAGAts are really, really into that type of thing. Gross but true.

With AI available and so forth, I think the hard right Republicans' game plan is to get these video clips out there in the hopes that the more tech savvy of their followers can use AI and other skill in a way such that everything can be manipulated into a a clip that shows protestors tiptoeing into the Capitol like 5th graders on a field trip and then police hitting themselves with flag poles and batons. We all saw enough of the clips in the days following the attack to know exactly what actually happened, but odds are 70% of right wing Americans never even looked at them. They accepted Fox news' version of events that day- that it was just innocent people sight-seeing in the Capitol.

Is there a correlation between the rising number of CT believers and our failing education system or are there really so many batshit crazy lunatics out there?
