Sex is everywhere 24/7 yet society feels more uptight and prudish than it has in my entire adult life. In day to day interactions most people are so bland and aeswxual. How is that possible?
Why is society so prudish now?

Shouldn't most people be asexual in everyday interactions? Or do you expect casual acquaintances to start having sex in front of you or something?

They say society moves in giant swings to the left and right.

Females trying to retain their status in a world that is moving away from the Ozzie & Harriett ideal.

I’ll bite-
It’s because soon enough, everything is recorded, or there is a valid fear of a response being recorded and effectively ruining your life or career with something you say that is completely misunderstood, or misconstrued, taken out of context, and regurgitated or reframed later in a way that could completely destroy you.
Now, we have to worry people will actually incite you to do so.
I am a manager at a national, corporate owned hair salon where people would call up with fake complaints, recording the call and hoping that an employee will say the wrong thing, and they could post it online as content- and get a laugh, or even sue the company or get a payoff to make it go away. This has already happened twice, and I told staff just to say, “I’m sorry you have a bad connections” and hang up rather than respond or be provoked by something really awful or racially related.
Also, for about a year I worked with an extremely gay, proud but aging gay man (33) who would absolutely fawn over younger men and teens, and do so in a way that could be shaken off as innocent compliments, but I also saw shades of predatory and grooming behavior and know he dated several of his clients (of age) he also sent Only Fans link of his account to a straight guy, and sexually harassed a coworker and when confronted was unapologetic! He knows very well the grey area he works in and what he can and cannot get away with, and quit before the company could pursue or I could document anything.
It put me in an bad position where I could be pulled into a lawsuit and gone sideways SO easily if I had said or did the wrong thing trying to address it.

Because young people are all anxiety ridden whack jobs who are triggered by every little thing. And what’s more anxiety producing and triggering than sex and intimacy? Hence the prudishness.

Without disclosing you or he might be gay, tell your cast that the new hire has the biggest penis you’ve ever seen in your entire life!

Why would you want people being sexual in day to day interactions?
I will agree, Gen Z seems positively puritan and completely joyless.

I think it has something to do with the fact that a third of everyone under the age of 30 is terrified of the sight of their own genitals.

Yeah but Gen Z is also says things like, stomp on my face daddy! Choke me! I’m on my knees, give me one chance! to celebrities they think are hot.
I sound like a prude myself, but I don’t get that shit. Since when does the majority of the population like to be choked during sex? I’m not judging people who do, but I think porn has made young people think rough sex is what everyone enjoys.

People are having less sex. So seeing it in media reminds them of what they're missing out on.
