Will he have a child in tow in this one too?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 16, 2023 12:34 AM |
Now he will go even farther to the back of the closet.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 16, 2023 12:36 AM |
And "Equalizer: 2."
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 16, 2023 12:38 AM |
Weird casting, but it was to be expected.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 16, 2023 12:40 AM |
Is landing a Marvel role really that much of an achievement anymore? The franchise seems to be dying at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 16, 2023 12:42 AM |
This is true, the rumor mill is a lot of people turned down this role for it to get to him r5. Marvel definitely has lost its luster.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 16, 2023 12:47 AM |
Meh. Marvel is on its way out.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 16, 2023 12:47 AM |
I enjoy him and am happy to hear of his successes.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 16, 2023 12:55 AM |
Weak and desperate for a paycheck. Isn’t he also a bit long in the tooth for Fantastic Four?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 16, 2023 12:55 AM |
But does he have a GOLDEN GLOBE?!!
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 16, 2023 1:10 AM |
This is actually a huge casting deal because Pedro has so much clout with the genre community. Marvel should be grateful he agreed.
And yes it’s a hugely important step for GLBT actors for him to get such a big part - even if he’s not out-out as Whoopi would say.

What is a "GLBT"?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 16, 2023 1:32 AM |
Biggest glass closet in Hollywood.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 16, 2023 1:54 AM |
I'm assuming the fact that he's Hispanic is extremely helpful in attracting Hispanic ticketbuyers.

I like Pascal a lot but he doesn't strike me as the worlds smartest man or an actor who can play the worlds smartest man. Seems like a
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 16, 2023 3:04 AM |
Vanessa Kirby is rumored to have landed the role of Susan Richards, The Invisible Woman. Good choice. She’s one of my favorite Marvel characters (her powers are awesome) and Jessica Alba and Kate Mara were NOT it.

Pedro Pascal lost major cool points with me when he couldn’t hold character on SNL. What type of thespian is he? The cunt needs to improve his craft.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 16, 2023 3:42 AM |
Sorry, but it won't be long before we see him with a beard in order to be a "bankable" star.

[quote]Pedro Pascal lost major cool points with me when he couldn’t hold character on SNL. What type of thespian is he? The cunt needs to improve his craft.
He did the same when he randomly showed up for that COMMUNITY table read they did a couple years back. He was never on the show, but was there to read Chevy Chase's part and kept breaking character, which got annoying.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 16, 2023 4:10 AM |
Jake Gyllenhaal and Adam Driver got offers first, but wanted too much money
Jamie Dornan and Christopher Abbott tested for the role but their tests went poorly
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 16, 2023 10:09 AM |
Aw, so sad. Five years too late.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 16, 2023 11:14 AM |
Weird title being that he is not openly gay you dumbass
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 16, 2023 11:49 AM |
His looks have peaked.
He needs to go into his grizzled action hero grandfather era a la Liam Neeson, not play superheroes.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 16, 2023 11:55 AM |
He looks like a 1970s pervy dad,
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 16, 2023 12:18 PM |
R24 Which is why gen x women love him so much- he reminds them of their first love.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 16, 2023 12:33 PM |
OP- Tell that to the closeted FAG BOTTOM with the SCRAWNY ass - Ben Affleck.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 16, 2023 12:47 PM |
Why isn’t Zendaya or Keke Palmer in the casting conversations?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 16, 2023 12:50 PM |
Pretty silly and insulting to call this a positive step for LGBTQ casting when he is not openly gay. Um, no. Don't be silly.
Don't know what the big deal with this guy is. He only seems to be in video game and comic book movies. And he has a giant unattractive head. Marvel's cultural currency is in serious decline and F4 has been a cursed property when it comes to movies (they're not even that popular with comics readers anymore).
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 16, 2023 12:55 PM |
He isn’t even openly gay yet you’re acting like he’s breaking grounds? What a fucking retard OP is. It’s confirmed.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 16, 2023 12:59 PM |
I'll never understand the fascination with this guy. I don't find him unattractive, but I don't find him "hot" at all.
Just like I never found George Clooney "hot," while everyone was swooning over him back in the day.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 16, 2023 1:01 PM |
Clooney was at least handsome with a lot of charisma. This guy doesn’t have the latter at all.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 16, 2023 1:06 PM |
R23 Grandfather? He's 48, not 78.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 16, 2023 1:12 PM |
I like Pedro Pascal as an actor, but I don’t find him sexy at all. I saw a YT opinion vid earlier which mentioned that he might be a grizzled older Reed Richards with kids, which makes sense based on his popular paternal roles of the last few years. I hope they don’t tie it too strongly into the Multiverse garbage and show us Kransinski’s Reed (from MoM) again. On the other hand, I did like that Kransinski’s Reed used blue quantum energy likely developed after facing Kang, which would be cool to have here as well.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 16, 2023 1:16 PM |
This is stupid casting. If they’re gonna cast a 48 year old to play Reed Richards they might as well cast the OGs from 2005. Ioan Gruffudd is 50.
The issue there is Chris Evans casting but still.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 16, 2023 1:20 PM |
R34 But Pedro is hot right now. No one knows who Ioan Gruffudd is.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 16, 2023 1:22 PM |
Lmao r35 casting the OG cast, everyone would know who he is because he played him already. He was Mr. Fantastic in 2005.
No one cares about Pascal.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 16, 2023 1:27 PM |
How is he so popular at the moment if no one cares about him? Make it make sense
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 16, 2023 1:28 PM |
About 12 people total saw the 2005 FF so ....
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 16, 2023 1:32 PM |
He’s a 48 year old man who just hit it big. That’s why the media is pushing him. He will never be that big though because he’s already creeping toward 50.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 16, 2023 1:33 PM |
R38 spoken like the illiterate, UNEDUCATED, JOBLESS retard you are.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 16, 2023 1:35 PM |
Hi Alice
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 16, 2023 1:41 PM |
Everyone was laughing on The Community read but the only time he really lost it was interestingly when he reads how Chevy Chase left everyone his sperm in his will.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 16, 2023 1:49 PM |
OP, you forgot his major thespian turn in, "Wonder Woman, 1984"
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 16, 2023 2:10 PM |
Career misstep too many tent pole projects.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 16, 2023 2:38 PM |
He's a nice looking guy, but he's aged strangely, he bears almost no resemblance to the twink he was in the episode of Buffy he appeared in.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 16, 2023 9:58 PM |
He's morphing into Burt Reynolds.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | November 16, 2023 10:01 PM |
Too old for Reed, especially if they do the Franklin storyline.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | November 16, 2023 10:07 PM |
WW '84 was a franchise-killer.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | November 17, 2023 1:05 AM |
Official announcement
This is actually an excellent cast. I like how Reed and Johnny don’t look like male models and Kirby doesn’t look like babe of the week on Baywatch.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | February 14, 2024 4:08 PM |
The ugly whiny guy from Girls is playing The Thing.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | February 14, 2024 5:02 PM |
Another one of these movies?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | February 14, 2024 5:03 PM |
Ebon Moss Bachrach is basically Armie Hammer but less goodlooking but much more talented
by Anonymous | reply 52 | February 14, 2024 5:06 PM |
This is a solid cast. I’m actually excited about this now.
And a Latino lead? 🤯🤯🤯
by Anonymous | reply 53 | February 14, 2024 5:08 PM |
I think this is a fine cast.
I hope they don't do an origin story for their power (they've done that twice now, and it sucks up too much time), and I hope if they have to have Doctor Doom as their villain (which seems as inevitable as having Luthor be the villain for Superman movies, sadly), I hope they get him to look like Stan Lee's and Jack Kirby's version rather than the stupid versions they've used before. He needs a medieval iron mask and a hooded cloak and an eastern European accent.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | February 14, 2024 5:16 PM |
He was so unprofessional on SNL. Drunk cunt couldn’t stay in character.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | February 14, 2024 5:18 PM |
I like that in the Instagram Marvel produced today announcing it, they include Herbie the Robot! I hope he's in the film.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | February 14, 2024 5:19 PM |
He's going to need to lose a bunch of weight to fit in the suit they'll design, unless they CGI the hell out of him like they did Pratt in the last (Thank God!) Guardians.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | February 14, 2024 5:23 PM |
Does he count as a "successful gay actor" since he has yet to come out of the closet publicly?
I do like him enormously, though.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | February 14, 2024 5:25 PM |
[quote] He's a nice looking guy, but he's aged strangely, he bears almost no resemblance to the twink he was in the episode of Buffy he appeared in.
Hun, he was 23 then, and he's 48 now. You're surprised he no longer looks like a twink??
by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 14, 2024 5:28 PM |
Adorable. His SNL hosting appearance was the best of several seasons. Loved it when he broke character. And let the orientation mystery play on. He is “available “ to all as a fantasy love interest. Good PR.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | February 14, 2024 5:35 PM |
With that face he should be The Hulk.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | February 14, 2024 5:36 PM |
Actually Reed has usual been portrayed as older than the other 3. The age doesn’t bother me. Now, if we were talking about Biden …
by Anonymous | reply 62 | February 14, 2024 5:50 PM |
He's aging badly. Normally? Our perception is so screwed up in the age of fillers and filters. Hope the doesn't resort to weird plastic surgery.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | February 14, 2024 5:57 PM |
If your awards show date is consistently your sister, you aren't really in the closet all that much.

All the Marvel films have been flopping the past two years. The public has moved on.
I don't know how Vanessa Kirby keeps getting cast in big movies. She's not a box-office draw at all.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | February 14, 2024 6:42 PM |
I'm so excited to see how this new F4 movie will flop.

by Anonymous | reply 67 | February 14, 2024 6:46 PM |
This film might actually turn things around for Marvel, as long as it’s not too intertwined with the multiverse/Kang BS that’s turned fans off.
They’re already fucking up X-Men by muddying it up in the multiverse crap.
No one wants 55-year-old Hugh Jackman as Wolverine anymore. Her time has passed.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | February 14, 2024 7:02 PM |
He is one ugly motherfucker.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | February 14, 2024 7:17 PM |
I'm completely unfamiliar with the other three actors, but while Pedro might not have been my first choice for Reed Richards, I think he'll do fine. If the writing's there this could be a good FF movie. It certainly can't be worse than the last one.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | February 14, 2024 7:22 PM |
It took them 3 times to get the Hulk right. Maybe this will be the Fantastic Third.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | February 14, 2024 8:06 PM |

Adam Driver would have been hilarious. They could not have made a plot point of Dr. Doom wearing a mask because his face was too deformed because it could never be uglier than Driver's.
