Candy was paying for Tori and Dean's rent, utilities, plus any costs involved with the kids. She just wouldn't pay for Tori's outrageous credit card bills.

Obviously Tori has been earning shaming herself on instagrift, but not putting aside anything for the IRS. She's a narcissistic sociopath who thinks rules and laws don't apply to her. If she wasn't a narcissist, she'd kill herself rather than inflict her visage on the world.

I moved out of my house as soon as I was legally able at 18, and bounced back the next year. My mother laid down the rules and told me if I was going to move back home, I needed to have a job and pay rent, and I did both of those things. After about nine months I had saved up enough for first/last/security on a place in the city. She gave me back the money I paid in rent to buy furniture. It was really nice, but also a lesson in working for what you want, and I don't think anyone has ever taught Tori that lesson. She's just been sitting around all these years waiting for someone to die so she can get an inheritance and cash out.
