Marilu Henner's self-effacing bio for her new play-----I want to forget the first line

Marilu Henner With the energy of a teenager, the wisdom of a sage, and the memory of a superhero, Marilu Henner has done it all: 76 films (including 28 Hallmark), 7 Broadway shows, 2 classic sitcoms (“Taxi” and “Evening Shade”), 5 Golden Globe nominations, and the New York Times Best Selling author of ten books on health, parenting, memory, and lifestyle improvement. Marilu hosted and executive produced two talk shows (“Marilu” and “Shape Up Your Life”) and the nationally syndicated radio show, “The Marilu Henner Show.” She competed on “Celebrity Apprentice” (2008), “Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars” (2013), and “Dancing with the Stars” (2016). Her memoir was only 320 pages long. Amateur.

by Anonymousreply 1November 15, 2023 4:36 AM

She's whack.

by Anonymousreply 2November 15, 2023 5:20 AM

Is it true she has photogenic memory?

by Anonymousreply 3November 15, 2023 5:24 AM

She wasn't a pioneering trailblazer for feminism like me, demanding equal pay on the set of Three's Company.

by Anonymousreply 4November 15, 2023 5:29 AM

She should’ve replaced Wendy Williams instead of Sherri.

by Anonymousreply 5November 15, 2023 7:02 AM

She is one of the very few people for whom I have a visceral hate.

Just the mention of her name sets my teeth on edge, and I have no idea why.

She was on the Today show once when I was in college so proud of herself and high and mighty because her kids never tasted anything with sugar in it. So annoying.

Fuck you, Marilu.

I hope she reads this and NEVER forgets how much I hate her.

Which of course she won't, so ha.

by Anonymousreply 6November 15, 2023 11:54 AM

No, Henny.

No.

by Anonymousreply 7November 15, 2023 11:56 AM

She was such a convincing girlfriend of John Travolta.

by Anonymousreply 8November 15, 2023 11:57 AM

Marilu and Kirstie Alley are pretty much interchangeable.

Both had cocaine issues and fake relationships with John Travolta.

Both are/were batshit crazy too. Marilu takes her bullshit very seriously where Kirstie seemed to get the joke.

Mostly.

by Anonymousreply 9November 15, 2023 12:40 PM

Anyone see the play? The rest of the cast is interesting (Melanie Mayron, Brooke "people are being duplicated" Adams)

by Anonymousreply 10November 15, 2023 6:38 PM

She sounds worse than Goop.

by Anonymousreply 11November 15, 2023 7:34 PM

Cursed with a perfect memory of every time she had sex with Judd Hirsch

by Anonymousreply 12November 15, 2023 7:37 PM

Did she hook up with Judd?

by Anonymousreply 13November 15, 2023 7:50 PM

Didn't this ho bag recently grift a GoFundMe because she got pneumonia and didn't have medical insurance?

by Anonymousreply 14November 15, 2023 7:53 PM

that was Mary Lou Retton r14

by Anonymousreply 15November 15, 2023 8:26 PM

R15 Huge difference

by Anonymousreply 16November 16, 2023 12:35 AM

She seems like she'd be truly exhausting to be around.

by Anonymousreply 17November 16, 2023 1:03 AM

She’s exhausting to watch on TV (especially her talk show from the ‘90s), in movies (like Perfect), and in interviews. She always looks like she’s going to jump up, grab you by the collar, and scream “Pay attention to me!” Plus, she has crazy eyes.

by Anonymousreply 18November 16, 2023 1:10 AM

How long did it take her to memorize her lines for the new play?

One day?

by Anonymousreply 19November 16, 2023 3:04 AM

I don't think she has that kind of memory. She remembers things that happen to her. I'm not sure if she has a photographic memory when it comes to studying stuff. I don't think so.

by Anonymousreply 20November 16, 2023 3:11 AM

R16, I'm sure Ms. Henner can put on a crusty leotard and do a double somersault off the balance beam, too.

by Anonymousreply 21November 16, 2023 3:13 AM

r14 This is her sister

by Anonymousreply 22November 16, 2023 3:13 AM

R10 I’m going on 12/18. It is in a tiny, uncomfortable venue. I have low expectations.

by Anonymousreply 23November 16, 2023 3:15 AM

They only do 4 shows a week oddly.

by Anonymousreply 24November 16, 2023 3:27 AM

I like Marilu. She's got moxie and a great rack!

[quote]I want to forget the first line

So what [italic]is[/italic] the first line?

by Anonymousreply 26November 16, 2023 3:46 AM

R24 It’s a temple. Those are the days they rent out to productions.

by Anonymousreply 27November 16, 2023 3:50 AM

My friend saw the play - said the play is meh but worth it for Caroline Aaron and Melanie Mayron. He said Marilu comes in later in the play and doesn't have much to do. However, he also said this is the type of play that will make loads of money - light, funny (if you like that type of crusty humor full of menopause jokes) and something a couple of girlfriends can go to together and have a fun night out.

by Anonymousreply 28November 16, 2023 4:23 AM

R28 What about me?

by Anonymousreply 29November 16, 2023 4:38 AM

I liked her on Taxi.

Well Hell-lo Marilu, Goodbye Heart.

by Anonymousreply 31November 16, 2023 4:43 AM

It must be so cool to remember every detail of winning your Olympic gold medal even forty years later!

by Anonymousreply 32November 16, 2023 5:40 AM

R32 I hope you are joking.

by Anonymousreply 33November 16, 2023 9:31 PM

I have always liked her on Taxi and Evening Shade. Don’t really get the hate.

by Anonymousreply 34November 16, 2023 11:40 PM

r33 You are one sharp tack

by Anonymousreply 35November 16, 2023 11:41 PM

I'd hardly consider Evening Shade a "classic".

by Anonymousreply 36November 16, 2023 11:43 PM

Isn't the Actor's Temple kind of a dump?

Couldn't they afford a descent off-Broadway house?
