Morten Harket- Norwegian frontman of pop band A-Ha & a Vintage Beefcake
I was in my late 20s when A-Ha hit it big here in the states with their song “Take On Me”, and while I wasn’t someone who cared about the song much, I certainly loved the gorgeous lead singer of the band. We didn’t have the internet back then so finding info on particular celebrities (especially band members) was harder, but I found out who he was and had a massive crush on the Norwegian beauty. I remember tabloids taking photos of him while sunbathing etc. so hot.
He had such a beautiful face with a tight, hot body. Beautiful.

Too bad he's a hard core right-winger now.
That turned me off to A-Ha.

A-Ha was the first concert I went to without my parents. It was sponsored by Agree shampoo, complete with huge inflatable bottles flanking either side of the stage.
On the way there the muffler to my 1981 Chevy Citation fell off. Being a young gayling, I ran into the busy intersection and grabbed the muffler, not realizing that it would be hot.

I've always liked the accoustic version of Take On Me he did.
It's like a reverse of Pet Shop Boys Always on My Mind and Elvis.

Do they even live in the states? Why are we wondering how Norwegians feel about Trump?

I saw a recent pic of the band and one of the other members is looking stunning these days.

R19 MH is a pro lifer & very far right religious person so that is why folks are saying he's a Trumper.
The overturning of Roe probably gave him a hardon & since Trumpy put 3 of the judges on the court...

He isn’t American. He doesn’t live in America. He can’t vote here. Get over it. R21. Get a hobby.

Voting isn't everything R22.
A bigot is a bigot.

Pet Shop Boy took the ballad Always on My Mind made famous by Elvis (even if it had first recorded by Brenda Lee, and first released by Gwen McCrae) and turned it into a synth pop song.
A-ha had originally recorded Take on Me as a synth pop song and, as shown in the linked recording, turned it into a slow ballad - going the reverse direction.

I never heard anything from him in terms of political agenda. So just because an r7 says something without backing it up, I have no problem ignoring the post. With five kids from three women, I don't have a problem believing that abortions are not his first choice though.

There's a 2019 interview with Magne Furuholmen, keyboardist for A-Ha, where he says, "The fact that A-ha has never been a protest band is because we three were politically very far apart from each other. My heart has always been on the left, Morten was the conservative. Without speaking so much about it, we all felt that A-Ha was not a stage for pushing politics."
Furuholmen characterizing Harket as "conservative" should probably be understood in terms of Norwegian political views (R22's observation is correct); by our standards, their 'conservative party' is quite liberal on social issues. Socks R7 and R21/R23 are just trying to generate outrage. They sound like Anscher.

That’s why I don’t understand why anyone is speaking about politics here. He’s never ever been politically outspoken. Who cares?

R35 Outrage? Morty is an outspoken pro-lifer & wants the gov. to control women's bodies but it seems like his penis could use some government control as well from what was posted above. I guess the other blond member is in the middle politically from the sounds of things.
If you think there aren't any pro-lifers in Europe who'll try to throw their weight around politically then I'll sell you some nice land around the Everglades that you can build a house on. Many of them are against LGBTs from adopting so they have that going from them for awhile there.
Also the band does push some politics as several of their tunes are environmental in nature so there is that soapbox they all stand on. Lesbian drummer Gina Schock (from the Go-Go's) did some time with the group back in the 80s but I guess they could care less if she had equal rights in so many nations around the world. The band is all about their paychecks & their rights it seems.
