A very sweetly filmed gay soap by the Italian/Turkish director Ferzan Ozpetek is on Netflix... set in the 70s as two young gay guys find each other in a hook-up movie theater, and then lose track, and then reconnect decades later. Beautiful men and art direction and capturing the 70s Roman gay world of cruising. Sentimental, overwrought (almost like a Susan Hayword/Lana Turner 50s Ross Hunter romance/tear jerker): but the two primary actors are beautiful and another character Alviso Rigo looks like Artificial Intelligence was asked to produce a Tom of Finland-style Italian). Full frontal nudity is one lingering scene too.
Looked for another thread on it, didn't see it. Seems like it'd be red meat to DL eldergays who grew up in the 70s.
Rigo is definitely worth googling and then ogling.
