Hearing about so many guys getting gonorrhea and chlamydia right now. What is going on? One friend had to do three rounds of antibiotics to get rid of his Chlamydia.
Are gonorrhea and chlamydia ripping through the gay community right now?

How would you know if you had chlamydia? There are no symptoms.

What are you talking about, there's the penile discharge, the burning sensation when you pee, the testicular swelling...

I did hear about wealthy American gays booking a course of antibiotics for when they return from a whoring holiday.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 28, 2023 6:33 PM |
It’s hilarious how many queens who were screaming LISTEN TO THE SCIENCE about COVID masks and social distancing, just go blank when confronted with the bacterial implications of raw prep fucking. Scientists are ringing the alarms that eventually, sooner rather than later, the current antibiotics will not work on these bacteria.

Yep, like this idiot, San Francisco’s state senator Scott Wiener who shamed people for not wearing masks but wouldn’t stop the kink event because homophobia. He told them to put a bandaid over possible Monkeypox outbreaks.

Yes and it’s going to get worse year after year after year. A bad combination of HIV poz men with a syphilis Dx and Gonorrhea , and possibly other infections , that in the future will not respond to treatment .
At this point when STDs are untreatable the condoms will come back on. So maybe when some STDs no longer respond to Rx safe sex will begin to reduce the Dx.
King of like what happened in mid 1980s and 1990s

And the CDC advisory committee has just recommended another round of MPox vaccine for the high risk among us. If you are a gay man sexually active outside a 1 on 1 exclusive relationship it sounds like you are high risk.

The response to MonkeyPox was a wake up call that many people slept through. A lot of people blamed health services, the media and big pharma but refused to tell gay men to adjust their behaviour. That was a near miss but the next one might not be.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 28, 2023 7:50 PM |
R28 lots of conservatives noticed the hypocrisy.
COVID - everyone in the world stay inside!
Monkeypox - please continue to hold your fisting orgies!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 28, 2023 7:53 PM |
When you go out of your way in a rush of PC to insist that everyone is at risk it’s hard to get specific information to the truly high risk. MPox was always an issue of the high risk.
Lots of blame for this including the gutless federal govt, who knew better, and the gay community, who should have known better.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 28, 2023 8:01 PM |
R30 the slut gay community is too far gone to ever pullback now. Being able to get married and live how you want is not enough, they need 100s of partners a month to be happy. They want to fist each other in the middle of the street with no recourse, and then after that they’ll move the goalpost even further in the name of inclusion and acceptance.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 28, 2023 8:09 PM |
For decades we learned that the number of sex partners does not make you a bad person. It implied that sex with lots of partners is ok. The message blocked out the health risk if the sex is unprotected. I don't care if you fuck around a lot. I really don't. But don't people feel an obligation to themselves to stay healthy? And maybe there ARE moral considerations. I would feel really awful if I knew or just assumed that I gave a partner a bug that can haunt him for the rest of his life. It does not make me feel better to know that the partner consciously accepted the risk.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 28, 2023 8:17 PM |
R32 you sound very empathetic, but look at these slutty Kweens romping around staring at themselves in their TikToks, do you think they care if they spread multiple STDs around? No, they only care if they get symptoms.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 28, 2023 8:20 PM |
Obviously with Covid the message was that adjusting personal behaviour was for the greater good - gyms closing, cinemas closing, supermarkets limiting people inside, wearing masks, getting vaccines, staying at home.
Yet for gay men and monkey pox a message of reducing partners, using condoms, getting vaccinated and tested was not considered. And as for closing gay saunas or sex clubs, well that's just homophobic.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 28, 2023 8:29 PM |

Could you provide a link to the CDC website where they're recommending another round of mpox vaccines R27. I can't seem to find that on their site. Thanks!

[quote][R34], except gay men were encouraged to get vaccinated against monkeypox and a huge number of us did. Try again
As I wrote, it wasn’t just testing and vaccines it was reducing partners and using condoms
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 28, 2023 8:58 PM |
R40 you're conveniently leaving out the biggest solution to STDs--reducing promiscuity and using protection.
But you know what? I think lecturing to a significant minority of men about their harmful sexual behaviors is a lost cause. They won't be deterred no matter the consequences.
So have your fun and don't come crying about persistent infection when you can't get rid of that nasty case of Chlamydia. Be a man and take the pain quietly.

I should have explained that better
It’s a recommendation , just made by a CDC advisory committee , to the director cdc. Advisory committees don’t make policy they recommend policy. I would expect to see something from CDC in the near future.
What I saw was a new story within the past 3-5 days.

You can still be a slut.
Condoms and gloves work. Even with a large number of sexual partners or even fisting, gloves and condoms work. The 1990s are proof that. So are the Amsterdam Red Light Districts.
Condoms and gloves work to greatly reduce STDs.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 28, 2023 9:27 PM |
I never understood the "no condoms!!" crowd. Sure, it feels nicer without it, but not to the point that sex with a condom is something terrible.

Well a strong rational and argument for why gay men lead the way for the most STD infections. The lack of actual death for most STDs.

And hardly anyone will care if gay men show up with a STD test and are found to have 3-4 different STDs. As many are.
Those not running around barebacking strangers won’t care because it does not impact them directly. The lesbians won’t care for the same reason. And the same for the straight community.
Just as long as the saturation of STDs within the gay male community does not start to infect straights, children , lesbians, etc no one is going to care.
But watch what happens if those groups do become fearful of gay men and their infectious diseases,.

We care because of increasing antibiotic resistant strains of infections and we remember what happened with HIV and AIDS.

R 63 current antibiotics work just fine for syph, ghon and clam. Promptly treated there’s no real issue with any of them.
And Hep C is easily treated now.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | October 29, 2023 12:57 PM |
And yet the UK Health Security Agency is warning people about antibiotic resistant gonorrhoea.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | October 29, 2023 1:02 PM |
R67
So your insight is that the medical community is wrong and this is a non issue for gay men and all the STDs are easily treated now. And resistance to Rx is just not a problem for any or the many STDs that gay men have so much more than others have.
Where did you get your professional training? Medical or as a stand up comic.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | October 29, 2023 1:05 PM |
My insight is that men are successfully treated for any or all of these infections every day of the week, every month of the year.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | October 29, 2023 1:09 PM |

Say these words
“Antibiotic resistance is not a problem for gay men today and it won’t be a few years from now”
Then we will know that you disagree with the position of the US medical community. Don’t weasel out and say something else instead.

No I know you have not said those words. You are taking the softer approach and Infering. I am asking you to to come right out and say that antibiotic resistance for STDs is a non issue for gay men,
And if you can’t or won’t say that then stfu as far as how this is a non issue for gay men when you are one of the few loonies suggesting that is so.
