Joran van der Sloot Confesses
Almost two decades after Natalee Holloway vanished in Aruba, the man long suspected of killing the Alabama teen has confessed to her killing, according to a court filing.
A federal judge who reviewed van der Sloot’s proffer said today there’s a reason why Natalee Holloway’s body would never be found – though she did not elaborate.

Dumping a body in the ocean from shore doesn't seem like an easy thing to do in Aruba. One side is very tranquil with blue waters and barely any waves and the other side is not anywhere you'd want to even get near. I remember how strange that was. I only vacationed there, though, so I'm sure there are plenty of places to dump a body. I bet he's still lying.

The U.S. government really let down the family. When it was evident that Aruba was going to do nothing, the U.S. should have forbidden any travel by Americans to the island. If Jordan had been promptly prosecuted and imprisoned, it would have saved the life of the girl in Peru.

There was some investigator involved with the OJ trial (or maybe he just did interviews like al the legal whores did) and he said before the Flores murder he was hired by van Der Sloot's family to investigate Natalee's disappearance. He went on TV and said he was sure he didn't do it but all the publicity corrupted his mind and he probably did kill Flores. I really couldn't believe it. I wish I remembered the investigator's name. I'm sure that he is doing this in order to get some benefit out of it. He is a true psychopath and they don't do anything unless they are obtaining something in exchange - in the video included in the article below, it is said that he could be extradited to the US from Peru, where prisons are horrible, which could be an incentive for him to make a confession. Also, the article discusses how he's divorced his wife of nearly 9 years so he can fully pursue a new relationship with a younger girl that supplies him with drugs - this happened in late May, so I VERY strongly doubt that he's undergone a religious conversion of any sort in the interim. He probably just wants to enjoy better conditions while he's imprisoned, and in a First World country to boot.
In short, he's a murderous piece of shit who has been bidding his time for the moment when making a confession would be beneficial for him.

This makes no sense legally. What statute or precedent could the U.S. use to justify this? The State Department regularly puts out travel advisories to dangerous locations or countries hostile to the U.S. like Venezuela, N. Korea, or Gaza, or Sudan, but citizens can't be forbidden from going there. Jeez, think. Jane Foda went to N. Vietnam during wartime and came back.

I believe that was when he was being held in a Lima prison. At some point, he got transferred to Challapalca near the Bolivian border. It's called the Alcatraz of the Altiplano. At 15,000 feet above sea level, it presents with unique altitude-based health challenges for prisoners. It's also freezing and isolated and conditions are unsanitary (water is not potable).
So yeah, he's not having much of a fiesta sharing space with killers and Shining Path guerrillas.

How do you know she was skittish or that American girls are skittish.
She was 18, a senior in HS. She was from Alabama and away from her family. This was a sunny, sexy climate. Drinking was involved. She might not have been an experienced drinker. Probably not. She probably wanted to have fun and make out with a boy. Who knows how far she wanted to go, sexually.
