WTF is wrong with people who act like they own the street? I used to live across from a crazy woman who would come out and yell at cyclists, particularly Black ones, that they had to get off the street or she was calling the cops and that she was "in" with them. She would park her multiple non- working vehicles in front of my, and other people's houses, for weeks on end but never her own and when workmen came and parked in front of hers because there was no other place she'd come put and yell to move. She even tried putting cones in front of her curb once. We had a few yelling matches. She was nuts though and like many mentally ill people she had that guttural, smoky voice like Rhubarb Lady. Pretty sure they were dealing drugs out of the house too.

The cops leaked the video tapes. That's what they're like around here.

The show usually tries to provide context and mitigating circumstances (PTSD, mental and physical illness being the main ones.) There was just no way to make the Goys sympathetic or explain their behavior.

I actually felt some sympathy for the neighbors (Gary, his family, his friends) until I just learned that the ENTIRE FUCKING NEIGHBORHOOD was/is packing heat. I watched this episode but am unfamiliar with the series as a whole. Is the acting always this amateurish? The guy who played James Goy was so atrocious it was unintentionally hilarious. And whoever played Lisa should be in the DL Hall of Fame. If I had neighbors as ridiculously confrontational as they make them sound I would've shot them long before Jeffrey, and I don't own a gun!
