New reports reveal Jeremy Allen White must meet several requirements to retain joint custody of his two young daughters.
According to legal documents obtained by People on Wednesday, the Shameless alum has agreed to undergo alcohol testing on the days he’s scheduled to care for his children. The outlet reported that, per White’s custody agreement with his ex-wife Addison Timlin, he’ll be tested for alcohol twice every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, three times on Saturdays, and once on Sundays.
In the case that he tests positive, White will be retested after 15 minutes, per Page Six. If a second test confirms the actor has alcohol in his system, his joint custodial rights will be suspended and further action will be taken at that point.
In addition to frequent alcohol testing, the court documents revealed The Bear star has also agreed to attend a minimum of two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings each week. White is required to see a therapist at least once a week as well. So long as he adheres to the arrangement, his and Timlin’s agreement to joint legal and physical child custody will remain in place.
White and Timlin welcomed their eldest daughter, Ezer Billie, in October 2018. The following October, the couple tied the knot, and in December 2020, they welcomed a second child named Dolores Wild. In May 2023, Timlin filed for divorce from White, and though she made headlines for penning a critical Instagram post about being a “single parent” (which she later updated to “co-parent”), the two have since appeared to establish an amicable co-parenting relationship.
