Am I the only one who thinks that liberals taking the Palestinians’ side makes no sense?
I’m still scratching my head on this one. Palestinians are a barabric and backward people who treat women like property and don’t want them to have any modern rights, and kill their daughters when they “shame” their families. They hate anything to do with LGBTQ, and have no qualms about killing us either. They base their lives on some dumbass holy book and want to push their beliefs on everyone else, and liberals seem to hate it when Christian nutballs do this.
On the other hand, Israeli Jews are largely either not religious at all or nominally religious. They are a mostly a modern-thinking people who champion LGBTQ and women’s rights. Why exactly do American liberals hate Israel so much?

I have no love for Islam or much sympathy for Palestinians, but if I have to hear this argument again I'm going to scream. This has nothing to do with you. You are not the victim. And you're wrong. Go take a walk through the some settlements or Gaza and see if you can discern the differences between the stones thrown by the Jews or the Palestinians.

v8fairy, it's not about 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 values (or lack thereof), but rather 𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠. They're human beings.
One does not determine how deserving people are of human rights based upon their attitudes towards LGBTQs, or mete out compassion based upon how much they have. That's not how any of this works.
Nor is it a zero-sum choice. A decision to support the basic human rights of Palestinians does not amount to a denial of the rights of Jews, no matter how extremists try to paint the issues in terms of black and white. One can uphold the dignity of both.

Why are liberals who support global decolonization efforts and side with Palestines are immediately called Anti Semitic. I just don't get it. Today I was having this discussion with a professor friend of mine. Her views are are little Marxist and extreme left but as she said, one cannot vocalize their suuppprt for the Palestine cause without being hurled with insults.
